They have a huge parking lot that’s usually empty. Great for teaching people how to drive manual transmission. You can see tire marks where kids probably do donuts at night.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this magnificent church yet! Seriously, the cantor at the 5pm mass belongs on American Idol, The Voice and/or any other reality singing show because he has a wonderful, soulful voice! While the church is a fairly traditional parish, I do enjoy the fact that they utilize technology(GIANT screens with all the words of songs, prayers, etc.,) to help you feel comfortable. I also love how there are BOTH traditional straight forward pews AND more pews coming off the diagonals, making the church feel a bit more circular and communal. The nice thing about this place is that even if you zone out in mass, there is always something in the content of the mass that brings you back into focus, whether it’s a thoughtful homily from the priest or the AMAZING cantor soulfully belting out«Oh Little Town of Bethlehem.» Five stars Church of the Ascension. Five stars!

Very peaceful & serene, location is near Prospect High School. Plenty of parking. Found out about this church because of Fr. Andy who used to give mass at St. Lawrence in Santa Clara. Love how the Church is clean, they also had a back room where our family could serve snacks and drinks while we had an event for my little cousin’s passing. I’m glad this church was able to accomodate for my cousin’s viewings and final laying.
