bFit

I have been a part of the bFit Program for about eight months now and I cannot say enough good things about the program! The classes consist of Burn It (circuit training, a mix of cardio and strength training), Build It (strength training) and Bang it (kickboxing with gloves and mitts). Before joining Jeff’s program, my workouts primarily consisted of running, with little to no strength training. Since joining his program, I’ve noticed a significant increase in strength and I am now able to do real push ups! His classes have been a very positive influence in my life and I always leave feeling stronger than before. Jeff does a good job of mixing up the workouts so that you’re constantly improving and getting stronger. He recently added sand bag training to the existing curriculum of TRX and kettle bells (for Build It)… Sand bag training (if you haven’t done it before) is a great way to get a combined cardio on strength work out; I highly recommend it! I think the best thing about the program is Jeff himself. He knows how to motivate you and he encourages you to continually improve. Most importantly, he always emphasizes doing exercises correctly to get the max benefit and to protect your body from injury. He will always spend time with you to modify exercises for your abilities. This class is great for all levels and even better, the first two weeks are free!

Seriously, try the classes. Can not recommend anything more highly than I can for this program. I have never taken physical training courses that focuses on the fundamentals (the core strength, the range of motions), without the exercises getting mundane. In the last 4 years, I have gained strength, stamina, and sheer kick-​ass in kick-​boxing, all while gaining range in motion and flexibility.
Jeff is a thoughtful instructor, and his instructions are on par with elite personal training, while being conducted in a a context of a group exercise setting. It is NOT P90X, T25, cardio kick-​boxing, most of which focuses on grotesque amount of repetition and speed, in my opinion, which can lead to injuries. Rather, bFit focuses on correct form and range, which through time and repetition, you transform.
The classes are filled with a varying level of students in capability. The students are passionate, but not intimidating. Atmosphere is friendly, and not cliquey. I think there is a camaraderie created from enduring through the bFit regiments, and there is a general sense of team that just happens when people go through hardships together.
Over the years, the classes have remained challenging. In good part, due to the constantly changing program and motions and varying equipments including TRX, Kettle Bells, and Sand Bags. Also, in great part, due to Jeff’s friendly by seriousness towards his students.
I haven’t had a specific physical goal. I just want to be healthy. bFit is how I gauge my level of fitness. I’ll continue to go, so that I maintain my goal.
Also, and very important here, girls in the classes also really really kick ass. It really tones down the testosterone level of military exercises, when my GAWD, … did I mention, the girls in the classes really kick ass???

Jeff and the bFit program has had a huge impact on my life. Before starting his program I spent 6 months reading fitness sites and going to the gym trying to get into shape, but I only lost a few pounds and that was it. In the end, I had back pain from having poor posture and doing exercises incorrectly.
Then, I meet Jeff and we discussed the issues I was dealing with and the frustration with my lack of progression. Jeff showed me what I was doing wrong and gave me modified exercises to strengthen my lower back and core. In the last 6 months I have lost 25 lbs, and that is nothing compared to the flexibility and range of motion I have gained. He doesn’t just stand at the front of the room yelling out what to do. He walks around making sure everyone is in the proper position and giving encouragement. He makes sure that you are pushing yourself but also taking breaks when needed.
Jeff preaches about awareness of how our body’s move and the positions we put them in. I find myself, not only doing this during class, but also in my everyday life. I’m in better shape now than I’ve ever been and I didn’t have to kill myself to get here. As tough as the classes can be I don’t remember a single one where I didn’t laugh or just feel excited because I was able to preform more difficult options of the circuit. At the end of the day bFit isn’t just a class or series of exercises, it’s a community and a feeling of self-​awareness that follows you everywhere.

I have been attending Jeff’s classes for a few months now. I have a herniated disc in my back and had a really bad knee. At first it was extremely tough for me to do many of the exercises. I worked with Jeff to find modifications in order to build up my strength and now I am able to do almost everything he throws at us during classes and I feel great! I used to have pain in my should and down my arm and all of that is gone.
It’s definitely not one of those classes where you feel like you’re intruding on everyone else or you’re slowing anyone down. Jeff takes the time to show you in detail what you should be doing and what you should be feeling while you’re doing an exercise. He is extremely patient with you and would rather you be doing something right or be doing a completely different exercise than to hurt yourself in any way.
Also, it’s not just the same class all the time. He often changes things up and there’s always fun music to listen to. He has a few classes like burn-​it (intense, but fun), build-​it (kettle bell, TRX bands, and weight training), kickboxing, and breathe (15mins, good for rolling out muscles).
Definitely worth it!

Jeff has been an extremely positive force in my life. I’ve lost 30 lbs since I started taking classes with Jeff, because he is such an excellent trainer. I feel extremely fortunate to have found him! He truly cares about your personal well-​being and is very supportive and motivating. Jeff’s style and variety of exercises gives everyone something to do in his classes regardless of fitness level. He customizes the training to fit you. Jeff demands the best out of you and has improved both my self image and my overall fitness level. His program offers a sense of family. You get to know the people you work out with and build a network of good friends. I can honestly say I look forward to training with Jeff every week!
