This is a review for work they did for my cousin’s pool, they’re not avid Unilocalers but I feel like it’s necessary to show love to a business that does a great job… I’m the type of girl that asks for the manager to compliment employees even at mall food courts :) I live in Atlanta now, but I’m originally from the bay — my mom still lives in San Jose and my cousins are in the bay as well. I visit often so spending time with fam calls for the necessities of diving into the pool when it’s freaking hot outside. So we contacted Dolphin’s Pool Service and got in touch with a dude named Paul. He ended up being the guy that came in and gave us an estimate, extremely professional and didn’t seem pushy. We called some other places for estimates but ended up choosing this one. We decided to move forward and at the next appointment we had a pool technician, Carols, come in to clean the pool, brush the walls and tiles, net the floating leaves, and did what they had to do to maintain the ph balance w/chlorine and acid so that it was safe for us to dive into that pool again. I was tired just watching them but they were super efficient and it took less than half an hour. The pool has been clean ever since! Weekly they come in and now I won’t fear for my life to dive into their pool lol. Tip: They only take checks! Hopefully they’ll be able to take card soon.

Use their services before. The technician serviced our pool 1) replace and charge us for the filter bag, while in good working condition. 2) install our filter incorrectly on somewhat regular basis after he backwash the filter. We were lucky to have someone in our house know how to correct it as needed basis. Yes, they do show up every week reliably. :)

Dolphin’s Pool service is not bad at all. I have used them for over 5 years in Los Altos. They are reliable. What they do is try to keep things simple and not over recommend complicated equipment that may not be in the best interest of the homeowner especially through the changing seasons. The DE filter needs to be replaced, the sweeper bag gets holes and needs to be replaced, chemicals need to be put into the water if the water test shows it needs it. It’s pretty simple. In fact especially if you are the type of family that travels a lot, being away and the power going out and then some complicated digital system not working can really screw up many things like the impeller(pump). So these simple mechanical timers with screw-on pegs indicating start-and-stop times seems antiquated but it works especially when there are so many things out of your control. Not only did they maintain the pool for the last 5 years but also that of my neighbors and when I resurfaced my pool and changed out all the equipment they did all the new plumbing and installation of new equipment for me. I even had solar heating installed and they had no problem working with the 3rd party vendor.

Never use Dolphin’s pool service. Very bad service and these guys are clueless about energy efficient pool equipment. When I discontinued my service recently, these guys asked for money for the last month and did not even service the pool for the last 2 weeks. My pool equipment got damaged because of that. This despite the fact me telling the owner to not touch the pool pump or sweep as it was newly installed and programmed differently. They charged me for some chemicals used which I doubt if they ever did. Cant trust these guys at all. Look for other options.

We used Dolphin Pool Service for many years. The weekly service had been good, but steadily declined. Repair cost mounted, water turned green and equipment malfunctioned. In June they replaced a part in our our DE filter. I came home to find the pump dumping murky, green water into the pool. The Dolphin service guy had not assembled the DE filter correctly causing over $ 400 damage to the DE filter and DE powder & debris to be dumped into our pool. It took weeks to repair and clean the pool. And… ready for this… We had to pay an additional $ 180 for the invoice we received from Dolphin Pool Service for the initial repair of the DE filter!!!
