What can I say, I love this place!!! When I walk in, everyone says«hi»!! The Bank makes me feel welcome. You can watch the Sharks, 49ers, Warriors, or whoever is playing at that time. They have a state of the art juke box and a cozy fireplace. It’s a place if I feel like dancing, socializing, sitting by the fire, watching a game I’m comfortable doing it!!! Love it! The Owner is Jim S. and his Daughter Donnette is the most beautiful bartender you’ll ever see!!!

Went there on Sunday night. The owner’s father was the bartender. I watched him make a Manhattan with 2 shots of Bookers’ whiskey, 2 shots of sweet vermouth and a full pour count of bitters, then serve it to the patron unmixed. Wow.(by the way the correct ratio is 2 shots whiskey, ½ shot sweet vermouth and splash of bitters, shaken in a martini shaker served in a chilled glass — that allows the bourbon to be accented and not smothered). I had ordered a vodka tonic which is hard to mess up. The atmosphere is dark and comfortable, steeped in history so just tell the guy how to make your drink and it’ll be great. And most nights I believe they have real, professional bartenders.

This place is awesome. It’s a dive but a very nice dive. Drinks are reasonable, the staff is friendly and all of Saratoga locals hang out here.

First time. I was here early before 5. It’s a bit divey which I like. Have a jukebox. Cash only but have an ATM. I think it’s the only bar in town. I didn’t get to spend much time there but would def go back. Will update review.

This has got to be the best dive bar in all of NorCal! The bartender, Adam, was fun and played along. The alcohol selection was broad(Not too sure about the beer selection, as I was enjoying a straight Gin night). Not too crowded and we happened to hang out with a nameless celebrity THEENTIRENIGHT! Avid music listeners hopped to and from the dance floor. The couches, small tables, and a great long bar allowed this place to get packed but not stuffy or squished together. Always room to randomly breakout in song and dance. I will absolutely be back my next time in town.

A dive bar with character, and characters. Strong pours, great jukebox, low lights, a small intimate booth for two… this place is out of another era, but thankfully still around for the rest of us to enjoy. Great bartenders and folks were here too.

After a nice dinner across the street, we wanted a quick drink. There were really not many options so we came in here. I was hoping it would be a decent lounge maybe hinting on the divey side. I’d say it was surprisingly more divey than expected. And not in a good way. I can appreciate a dive bar, I truly can. I think it is a subtle art to master a dive bar setting. This was a swing and a miss. It’s not the type of place you bring an attractive date. It’s the type of place you question life choices. It’s the type of place you go to get plastered and flirt with the bartender because she’s the only one forced to listen to you. Very very dimly lit, probably to hide the years of abuse. Very loud ACDC sort of heavy classic rock playing. There are very few seats, a big couch area that is pretty awkward as it really only sits one group. I would not come back and would not recommend to others, unless you happen be in the area and NEED a drink.

Prices are good compared to the surrounding establishments. Service is good and the place is comfortable. Its small and quaint, just the kind of place I like! I recommend stopping in for a drink if you are in the village! Cheers

I solid spot to have a pre-dinner drink. It might be a bit dive-y(or full on, for that matter), but if you like character and don’t mind if its not necessarily spotless, then this is the place for you. Drinks ran $ 8, which isn’t bargain rate, but for this area I can only assume its on par or on the cheaper end.

Super divy. Kinda small and limited selection of beers on tap. But cozy and friendly enough

Decent dive bar — located in downtown Saratoga The bars décor — reminds you of a old pub located in a mountain village, with a carpet that still smells like cigarette smoke, and antique furniture. The drinks — are served quickly by the nice enthusiastic bartenders. not many options for draft beer. they have 4 – 5 taps i believe. the crowd — a really friendly random mix of people from their late twenties to late fifties

Cool pub! This is not an Irish pub like most people think. But I have to admit… it comes kinda maybe close. The thing I like the most are the soft chairs and the quirky cubby hole/love seat-thingy. The owner and his daughter who works there are nice people. Nice size beers too.

Nice dive — what passes for a dive in upscale Saratoga, anyway, as other reviews have said. Chatting with owner Jim is always interesting.(I could do without being called«sweetcheeks» by one of the female bartenders, though!) Pretty rad jukebox and I like the cozy atmosphere with wood and brass and velvet couches. We’ve been scared away on karaōke nights(small, thus loud) but it’s a nice place to drop into in the afternoons/early evening. (Johnny) Cash only! Oh, and their martini glasses have tops cut at a weird angle that makes it kind of difficult to drink unless you rotate the glass to the right point.

My wife and I go every weekend and enjoy the vibe. Jess is our fave bartender and my wife likes the Mai Tais and weekly specials. I love the lagunitas on tap. Real old fashioned dive bar. No frills just great environment for throwback bar experience.

A local dive bar with karaōke and lots of regulars. I know a group of people who come here every Thursday, after the open mic down the street. You will generally see several of the same faces here… a few bad dates in action. business-y folks letting loose… bikers… moms… pretty much all walks of life. There are a couple couches to lounge on and stools at the bar, but during busier times you may find yourself short on seating. The quality of the karaōke is often not the best, but that’s how karaōke goes. Drinks are ok, but nothing fancy. Keep in mind that this is a cash-only bar, so either come prepared or get some cash from the ATM in the back corner.

A fun, small dive bar on the downtown Saratoga strip. I love to come here for a drink before dinner, the Bank has a friendly neighborhood vibe. The Bank has a comprehensive beer selection of bottles and a few beers on tap. The beer is cold and the bar-keep is friendly. The building was originally a 19th century bank; the interior is shabby chic with a lot of dark wood and red velvet. Overall, a fun place and the only true bar in downtown Saratoga…

I’ve been here several times now and had such different experiences each time it’s fascinating. One Saturday night it was almost empty besides my group and a few other people. Another Saturday night it was packed with a live band and the owner Jim was the life of the party, talking to all of us about history and the future and all sorts of other drunken ramblings. St Patty’s day was full of Irish food, grasshoppers, Guinness, and cheesy decorations. In general you can expect: — Velvet couches — Jukebox /live band /karaōke — Cougars(srsly) — Friendly regulars — TVs showing whatever relevant game is on Being from Saratoga, I think I have to love it. There are no other options in this town ;)

Got to love a good dive bar and the bank is just that! But dive bar in a good way:-) The bar used to be a bank in the early 1900’s! There is an assortment of seating from bar stools to cushioned chairs! You will find people from all walks of life at The Bank! Suits and ties to pajamas and flip flops! There is live music on the weekends sometimes! I went on February 23rd and there was a very good female singer playing! I did a little research to try and find out who she was. I think her name was Neva and is from Truckee/Tahoe? She did an amazing version of Eminem’s «Lose Yourself» mixed with«All along the watchtower»! She has a very powerful and gritty voice! I would love to see her play again but it was super hard to find any info on her:-(Anyways, if you have a chance to check her out again at the bank I would recommend doing so!

I grew up in Saratoga. Wait, there’s a dive bar in Downtown? Didn’t know until 27. Bah. What have I missed! Honestly, this is the poster child of a dive bar. On holidays you can expect to see tacky decorations(and I love them!), and the bartenders are always friendly and nice. The drinks are cheap and they are large pours! The patrons that come here really varies. I’ve seen guys with suits and ties, ladies in dresses in heels, and I’ve also seen people coming in pajamas… oh wait, that’s me. And they still served me alcohol… so yay! They have booths, cushiony chairs with tables, and bar stools… so whatever you are most used to drinking in, you have your pick!
