I am addicted to Lucky’s. Their chocolate is amazing, but I’ve also enjoyed very much their sandwiches and savory croissant(especially feta and spinach). Service is super friendly, too.

I’ve been a fan of Lucky since they were on rt 212 between Saugerties and Woodstock… and in a way I’m glad they moved a little further away from me… now they are a little easier to resist! The truffles are not only delicious and beautifully textured, but also come in unique bold flavors. Some of my favorites are the brandied fig, cardamom pistachio, and crème brûlée. I’m also in love with the chocolate covered«glacé» apricot; not your normal dried apricot but a moist, juicy explosion of sweetness. They do a great job with chocolate covered orange peel, too, which has been a favorite treat since my childhood. They used to carry these little chocolate lavender nibs that I really enjoyed, but I guess they weren’t in high demand; it’s a good example of Lucky’s willingness to experiment with interesting flavors. Lucky doesn’t depend on unnecessary trendy hipster packaging to sell their chocolates like some of the newer local«gourmet» chocolate shops. If you’re purchasing treats as a gift, though, they will box them up pretty with a ribbon. I’ve found the staff to always be friendly. The owner seems a bit standoffish but upon speaking to her it’s obvious she’s just absorbed in her work, and she’s actually very nice. Expensive? Yes… but it’s all made in house, it’s a small local business in a trendy shopping area with high rent, and the creativity and love put into every product is obvious. If you don’t want to spend this kind of money for truly unique gourmet chocolates, go buy a Dove bar at the convenience store.(That’s my favorite«regular» chocolate.)

The chocolate available in this place is as good as you’ll find anywhere, if not better. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. It’s not cheap, but worth every single penny. Will definitely be back.

This place is AMAZING! everything is delicious, and the owner and workers are very friendly and fun. I personally love the milk chocolate almond bars. They are a must have. My mom came in with me one time while visiting and also was very happy with the store.

You just can’t go wrong here. We’ve been going to the First Friday’s in the Village and Lucky Chocolates always has an amazing display of goodies such as a make your own s’mores. Tonight I ordered cappuccino which was rich, creamy and nicely foamed. It was one of the best I’ve had in a long time and I highly recommend it. I also tried a chocolate croissant. So so good. Lucky’s definitely is a must if you are visiting Saugerties or the surrounding area.

Their delicious and unique variety of chocolates aside, the organic juice bar and café is excellent. They have shakes, yogurt and fruit smoothies, and my favorite thing… blended fruit and ice(I think they call it a fruit crush. Today, I got one of those with banana, strawberry, and blueberry… and a turkey melt panini on whole grain. It’s the best lunch I’ve had, locally, in ages! Everything was fresh and nutritious. I actually felt healthy and nourished when finished. The shop itself is very cute and worth checking out and the staff was very friendly.

Exquisite chocolates in all forms. My favorites are the Sailor Jerry(rum) the dark chocolate Turtle & the Bacon truffle. So many choices with a beautiful presentation. The truffles are just works of art. They also offer organic & gluten free lunch options along with fresh blended healthy juices/smoothies & local ice cream. Cute nostalgic gift items decorate the shop. Staff is pleasant & knowledgeable of the products. Definately check it out when in Saugerties!

Can’t say enough good things about Rae and her chocolate shop! The chocolate is so scrumptious and they even make juice(kale, celery, ginger, apple) in case you want to be a bit healthier. We were lucky enough to stay in her beautiful sunfilled loft that she rents out on Airbnb and had the funnest weekend. I highly recommend staying there if you are ever in Saugerties!

Blown away!!! From the moment we walked in the shop we were fans of this establishment. Gluten free, grain free, vegan desserts. Organic chocolates. Organic juice bar. What else could you ask for? This chocolate shop is set up as if you’re actually walking into a box of chocolates, or a genie lamp that was built in the late 50s. It’s the only place where you can get a vegan, organic hot chocolate with almond flour cookies AND browse a wide variety of children’s toys from the early 20th century! They even put out a free dark chocolate, organic fountain once a month and leave out fruits, cookies, and even pickles to make your own chocolate wonderland on a stick. I’m convinced that any bad reviews of this place must be from people who like Russel Stover’s because anyone with a sensible palette and love for organic, high quality European chocolate and confections knows this is the place to go.

I recently moved up to Saugerties area from NYC and Lucky Chocolates Café is THE best little gem up here that i have found yet… the owner Rae is so sweet and brilliant with her business. all organic ingredients, plus she makes amazing gluten free pies and pastries(i ordered a few pies already for thanksgiving and a birthday) and always has vegan soups and GF bread for sandwiches. This place is as good as it gets; it holds up and goes beyond many cafes back in Brooklyn. Oh, and the staff is super sweet:-)

Waited ten minutes to get some ice cream while counter person put together a large order. I didn’t mind that. What I did mind was her skipping over me to take the order of the two 30-something entitled chatterboxes behind me who were more than happy to step in front of me. Disgusted I walked away. Sadly my wife purchased chocolate earlier. I would have preferred not to support such crappy customer service. It is a cute store, but not put-up-with-that-kind-of-bullsh*t kind of cute. Too bad.

I don’t understand what’s with the nasty reviews. I used to work in a European chocolatier where we would deal with all sorts of truffles and chocolate covered sweets. Saying that… I would like to say that my family and I very much enjoyed all of our truffles. I believe I had, a milk chocolate truffle, a honey butter truffle, crème brûlée truffle and a caramel sea salt bar. I don’t recall what my fiancée and mother had but they were both very satisfied. I don’t have a single complaint either for that matter. I guess people have to keep in mind that high quality chocolate means high prices(just like anything in this world). Oh yeah– andddd I would like to note that the employees and owner were all very nice :)

Cute little store in the charming Saugerties. Decent esspresso but when it comes to chocolate, AOUCH! (What chocolate???) Thay call that«truffle», it is NOT but it still cost $ 2.00 a piece : yes, one bite=$ 2.00!!! The sea salt and caramel was WAY too salty(I litteraly had to scratch off big chunks of salt from the top of the sweet) of the and the caramel would left no room for any chocolate. The green tea was awfully sweet. The chilli-chocolate burned my mouth like crazy. The mapple was just a ganache with no chocolate but the shelf. The sour lemon would have been nice if it was a lemon pie… And so on, and so on… Those«truffles» have zero subtleties, zero balance and are seriously over priced. HUGEDECEPTION after all those amazing reviews(???)

Love that they serve fresh juice — the only place in saugerties! I get the green lemonade — perfect! Whenever im up here i need my green juice fix — thank goodness for this place! Also their ice cream is amazing! Love the ginger one and they have gluten free cones ! Cute place to explore all their many treats. Also their renovation/expansion of the space was much needed. Lots more seating area to sit down

Pricey but worth it. The shop has pastries, lunches, coffee and smoothies, none of it I tried because I was here for one thing and one thing only — Chocolate. It has an amazing chocolate selection I picked up some dark chocolate covered ginger and a Chimayo chile truffle, my sister got a fresh mint and a dark raspberry truffle and Mom picked up a small selection. They were outstanding. I’ll definitely be back.

$ 1.70 for a piece of Almond Toffee with a touch of freezer burn. Not fresh. Friendly staff earns them a star.

Such a cute and homey place. I didn’t realize they sold drinks as well as chocolates. We got a box of 6 truffles for $ 12 and my boyfriend got a chocolate frog for $ 2.50. The prices are up there but finally having money I was fine with slapping almost $ 16 down. The lady who owns the place was super friendly. I will be returning to try some things on the drink menu. All though I haven’t eaten all the truffle I got, I tried the Champagne one(it was okay) the Coconut one(yumm) and the Margarita one(strong)

Saugerties has a lot to offer. It’s a quaint little town, and I wish I had more time to just hang out here. Lucky Chocolates was one place I knew I had to stop in and visit-I had heard many good things about their delicious truffles. It was late morning, so i decided to buy a spinach and feta croissant(absolutely amazing!). I also indulged in a variety of truffles. Here is what I got in my box: –Sailor Jerry Rum(a subtle flavor of rum and chocolate) –Champagne(Not too much champagne flavor but it was there) –Chimayo Chili(Wow! Spicier than I thought it would be) –Sour Lemon(Very sour but a unique and delicious flavor) –Bacon(It sounds weird right? Probably my favorite though! Good mix of sweet and salty) –Milk Chocolate(A classic.) The service is wonderful-they are super helpful and friendly! I will be back again and again.
