I went there on my bike to have some breakfast and coffee. I ordered my meal at the main counter and the young guy taking it was very polite and gracious, I was surprised at his great customer service. I then sat and wait for my coffee at the coffee bar. The guy and the girl at the coffee bar had this look as if they didn’t want to be there, no smile, long faces, really inattentive. The guy that brought me my meal was very attentive and smiling. After finishing my breakfast I decided to order another coffee and waited at the counter of the coffee bar for a while until the kind of bald young guy felt like taking my order. It seems that they didn’t want to get bother because they were the«baristas». He took care of me as if he was making me a favor. This happened on Sunday Feb. 21 around 9 am. So I want to go back because i like the place but I’m having second thoughts about the people making the coffee. They should have better customer service and don’t be so obnoxious.

I found a hair in the sealed fruit cup I bought for my son from the counter. Pretty gross. They apologized but I haven’t been back since. This was a while ago.

The food is very good and I the layout and feel of the space is great, but the portions are just too small for the price for the place to be worth my while… I’d end up paying $ 30+ for full breakfast, and it’s not really worth that.

Came here for a coffee, nice trendy atmosphere. Very lively. The food and drinks looked good, I’ll have to come back to try some. Not a fan of the European style espresso coffee though. It had the espresso«sludge» at the bottom of the cup. When I asked for a coffee I assumed I was getting the regular American style drip coffee.

I love this place. The food, the ingredients, and the location are all excellent. They make beautiful salads, I love the lentil salad. I love having brunch here, especially if I get to take a friend from out of town. They are always awed by the surroundings and the food.

Originally, I had not been excited to try this place because of its 3.5 stars and mixed reviews. Now that I have been 4 – 5 times, I have to say I wish I had gone sooner. I’ve tried several of the dishes, as have my friends and family, and nobody has ever been disappointed. I’m not a coffee drinker, but I have heard Cibo has some of the best in Sausalito too. I guess people don’t like the service, but this isn’t really a restaurant, more of a takeout-type place. They bring you your food but that’s about all they do(and I’m not sure why there’s an expectation of more than that given the setup). Also, yes it’s pricey but so is everything else that is similar in Sausalito. If you’re in Sausalito and looking for delicious food in a casual setting, I would highly recommend stopping in.

A cute intimate café good for catching up with friends, families, and dates. Their menu had a good bit to offer. We ordered a turkey panini and a prosciutto panini. Both were very good. Wait staff are very friendly and bathrooms were clean!

Love how everything here is totally handmade and always delicious. My only complaint is the prices… the large coffee was very, very tiny, not very hot and almost $ 4! For that price I expect a hot, mean, tall cup of perfect organic coffee… oh well. Service was good on one side, and on the other coffee side I was ignored while the clerk had a private conversation with someone else for what seemed like an eternity. Not very friendly or professional. Oh well. Everything else has been great.

Cibo is a very sheek trendy spot in Sausalito. Everything in there is made right in shop which is very cool. The food is fresh and very delicious but comes at a price. I got a sandwich which was very good but it cost me $ 12. The location itself is pretty cool. It is a restored older building with exposed brick and piping. It doesn’t have the super warm and cozy café feel, but the style definitely works with the space. I would definitely come here if you are looking for a quick lunch of salad, a sandwich, or a soup. I have also heard that they have good coffees and tea as well as pastries. Definitely worth coming to and one of the better places in town.

Love this place!!! The coffee is fabulous — the espresso is perfect. The pastries are top notch. There is usually a long line, but don’t let that deter you. It’s worth the small amount of hassle to stand in line and to try to find room to wait for your order. The staff is really friendly and they have a super cute outdoor patio where you can enjoy your goodies. Check it out.

Yum! What a great café. Amazing baked goods and good food. I’ve only had tea so I can’t speak to how good the coffee is. But everything I’ve had is fantastic.

Darn! I spoke too soon. The great barista I started to bond with is no longer working here. Back to Phil, but I’ll keep an ear out for whether they find someone good again. The food is still bland and overpriced, so at least they are consistent.

How does this place have 3.5 stars? it is a bit pricy. It’s the best café in Sausalito. Good quality food and drinks. Great ambience. My go to café as a fellow sausalitian.

Cute place! Coffee was pretty good, autumn hash was excellent. The poached egg dish with broth was a bit bland, but other than that it was a decent experience.

Cibo means food in Italian. Cibo is also a café in Sausalito. Il cibo a Cibo è molto buono! I’ve had my eye on Cibo for a while now. I suggested it to a group of friends and we decided to stop in for brunch earlier this week. My friend and I ordered the chicken salad, while the rest of the group ordered the quinoa salad, grilled cheese panini, and fruit salad. As mentioned above, the food was very good! Not only is the food at Cibo tasty, but the ambiance is also lovely. The café is divided into two rooms depending on if you are ordering food, or drinks. If you decide to order coffee and food, you must go to the beverage room to retrieve your drink. The set up is a little confusing, but the staff is very helpful and will guide you in the right direction. I would definitely be a regular at Cibo if I lived in Sausalito. The food and drinks are on point, and the location is amazing. If you’re in Sausalito, grab a bite to eat at Cibo, take a stroll by the harbor, and pretend that you’re on vacation even if you’re a local :)

I usually come here after my SUP or kayak time in Richardson Bay. It is such a relaxing spot! I love their croissant and I believe it is one of the best in the Bay Area. Also their cappuccino is the real deal. I really like this place and it’s probably the closest I found in the Bay to an italian café’. They also have non italian stuff, like muffins, macaroons and sandwiches. So there is something for every taste.

Walking into Cibo is enough to make you want to move to Sausalito, just so you could stroll into this emporium of artisan edibles on the regular. The cute little pastries. The pre-packaged treats. The sprawling communal seating, inside and out. The legit Italian coffee drinks. The sailboats in the distance. It’s all too picturesque! We had tea and macchiatos(at Sausalito prices, mind you) and dreamed of ordering the rustic fruit tartlettes. Or the lemon cake. Or the mini financiers. Next time… Start, end or punctuate your perfect day in Sausalito with a visit to Cibo. It’s a little slice of the good life that you can savor for a few minutes or a few hours(yes, laptops welcome too).

I had just finished an 8:30am mtg. in Sausalito and needed a caffeine pick-me-up. So I swung by Cibo for a double-espresso. I ordered my beverage from the friendly barista. Be warned, coffee here is pricier than most coffee shops(mainly because it’s Sausalito, and this is a town that targets unsuspecting tourists). After ordering my espresso, I waited around for 5 – 10 minutes like a total lemming. I couldn’t quite understand the long wait since there weren’t that many customers in the store. Finally, I looked at the adjacent room(which I thought was just a dining area), and I saw a lonely espresso cup sitting all by itself on the counter. Sure enough, it was my double espresso. No one announced its arrival. Hell, no one even told me that I would have to pick up my drink in another room. Honestly, how is anyone(who’s never been to Cibo before) supposed to know that this where all espresso drinks are produced and retrieved? Needless to say, when I picked up my espresso it was cold — not even luke warm. Since I was already running late to my next meeting, I had to suck it up and drink my cold espresso in the car. BTW, cold espresso is not very satisfying. I’m sure Cibo is normally a much better coffee house/bakery. And I’ll definitely give them another try down the road. But there’s got to be a better order/pick-up system that they can implement in-house.
