I made a mistake with my first review of Lori. I was initially unclear about how much she charges but I have to admit whatever the cost, Lori works so hard to give you the best possible haircut. She carefully examines your hair and suggests how to make your hair look great. Lori knew I wanted to grow my hair longer and she cut it so that the next time I come in I will be ready for the version I really want.

So glad I don’t have to go to SF for a great stylist. Lori is right here in Marin and a true Pro. I like that she «gets» my hair… which is no small feat. I always leave feeling younger and looking 100% better. Thanks Lori!

Lori is amazing. She has been coloring and cutting my hair for two years now. I like variety and she has always been happy to cut (or not), do highlights, or try a new color. My hair always looks fantastic.

I just got a fantastic haircut from Lori. I’d been looking for someone who can handle my incredibly thick hair, and I’ve found my woman! She gave me a clean cut with cute bangs. In addition, she is nice and funny. I’m very happy to have found her.

Have come back for a second time to Lori, love her professional recommendations, opinions, and results! Her salon is quiet and easy to get to. I usually just ‘wing it’ when booking my appointments. For the first time ever… I am booking my next service before I leave. I want to be sure I can get in when (or before) I really need to!

Lori is a star, I travel a lot, so I’ve gone to Bumble & Bumble in both NY & London. gone to most of the «high priced» in SF. go to Lori, you will be much happier.

It’s been about 3 months since my haircut and I love how it’s growing out. I’m wearing my hair straight and curly, and it looks perfect either way. I’m still getting compliments on the style. I can’t wait to see Lori again!

I went to Lori when I was in SF after reading the glowing reviews. They are SO true, she’s amazing — a talented stylist and great company. She gave me great advice as I was changing my look quite a bit and did a superb job. The best haircut I’ve had in many years. The only problem is, I’m on the East Coast! I’ll definitely go back to Lori next time I’m in SF.

Lori is an outstanding professional and fabulous colorist, whose work goes beyond great technical expertise to expert consulting that’s targeted to your personal look and preferences. She stays on top of trends and helps me make occasional changes to keep a fresh look. I’ve been going to her for years and have referred other friends as well.
Her salon is a clean and nicely designed space that’s also a pleasure to hang out in.

There’s a reason I’ve been coming back to Lori for over 15 years — she consistently does wonderful work! Lori has gently encouraged me to «change it up» on occasion, keeping my looks updated, while still staying within my comfort zone. On the one or two times I wasn’t as happy with the new look or coloring I’d chosen, I went back and Lori immediately and cheerfully worked with me to get it exactly right. Lori’s salon is also a relaxing and elegant haven — perfect for a little «me» time.

After moving to CA from OH. I had searched and searched for someone that could give me a cut and color that looked awesome! Finally, I found Lori! I drive 40 mins for her to work her magic! I wanted to mix it up and try something different… I had read that she was really good about picking out a color that works for you complexion and that she was honest about what looks good on you or not. I am happy I listened to her and trusted her advice! I love my new «DO» and I love that every time I go. she doesn’t assume I want the same thing… she always has a consultation with me. She LISTENS and gives me her insight. which is always spot on.
The Salon is beautifully decorated, clean… and her little dog, Jack is a plus!
Lori is both TRENDY AND FUN! I am really happy I found her :)
PS…when people say she is an ARTIST. it’s TRUE. she IS.

Best cut ever! Lori got me (and my SITUATION) intuitively! Lori pulls no punches. I’m beyond grateful that this was the case! I showed up w/​breakage galore. She promptly explained that she would not be able to color my severely damaged tresses; but she assured me that she would give me a fantastic cut. My gut said YES! Guess what… both my gut, and more to the point, LORI was right!

Today was number four! Woohoo!
I came to Lori months ago complaining that the last three stylists I had gone to all went crazy and dyed my brown/​blond hair an unnatural red on the third visit. What was up with that? Totally frustrated, I finally went straight to Unilocal and looked for the best local stylist listed and thankfully it was Lori.
She was on vacation when I phoned and still picked up the call and made my appointment. I texted her photos of my current red problem and a photo of me with happier hair as she requested.
We had an instant East Coast connection when I met her. She has a wonderful warmth, directness and East Coast spunk.
I was comforted by the soothing environment she and her partner have created at LoJe Salon… wonderful selection of teas, mellow music, sweet salon dog named Jack, wonderful trashy magazines (all current) and never more than one other client in the salon.
On top of all of that, she has given my hair all of the attention I was looking for! No mistakes — NO red. Perfect cut.
AND her prices are reasonable. In addition, she is honest about doing partial colors when it is all I need and skipping cuts or just doing a touch up trim. In the past I have had stylists that insisted on a full foil and cut every 6 weeks and now I am doing partials every 7 – 8 weeks and yet my hair has never looked better. Go figure!

Lori is fantastic! I’ve been growing my hair out from a really bad cut, so it’s in that «bleh» stage.
Lori was able to keep my length, add back in some sophisticated shape and then livened up the dullness with trendy bangs. I couldn’t be happier, which is great, because my hair is an unhappy issue for me right now. She’s an artist!
The Salon is clean, cozy, and comfortable. Jack, the resident maltese, is so chill that he relaxes everyone. It’s a friendly place and I’m excited to be a new client.
Lori also does bang trims for free in between cuts, which just makes the experience a perfect deal. Thanks Lori!

Lori is amazing! I get so many compliments on my hair, even from strangers. The best one was when I went to get coffee in the morning and the lady behind the counter said,” I Just want to say your haircut is so cute, where do you go?” Of course I blushed, but I had to say Lori Kine! Lori is an amazing and talented hairdresser. She can tame my very thick and frizzy hair which I have had trouble finding someone who can in the past. My hair now always looks terrific, thanks to Lori!

I have to say this is the best hair cut I have ever had. Lori is the only person who has listened to me regarding not wanting layers for my fine hair. It doesn’t matter if its the latest hair style if your hair is too thin to pull it off. She gets it.
I get free fringe cuts every 3 weeks if I need it and that is worth gold to me in my books. She has a lifer in me, that is for sure!

I went to Lori for the first time a few of weeks ago and love her! She knew exactly want to do with my hair to make it look great. I have received so many compliments on the cut and color. I will defiantly be going back again.

Lori has cut and colored my hair for about the last five years. She does a beautiful job. Over the years we have changed it up quite a few times — sometimes a little longer, sometimes a little shorter, a little more blond, a little less blond. She is always willing to discuss my hair and listen to my input, and I always leave happy.
She runs a lovely salon, and I always enjoy seeing her little mascot, Jack the Maltese dog. :-)
I have received many compliments on my hair over the years, and as a result I have referred many friends to Lori — including my 19 year old daughter and her friends! They are all happy clients, as well.

I don’t mind getting a cheap haircut and wearing a hat for a week. But, if i need to look good immediately i know Lori will take the time to get to know my hair and face and what i want and then do it well. No guessing. Total Pro. And, I know i can leave my hat at home!
