I know this is just a burger joint, but it is a really good burger joint. Burgers are excellent the fries are awesome and the Special Sauce is so yummy! I’m trying to think if there was anything that wasn’t great and I can think of nothing. Clean place, good service, they seemed very well trained there. Do not hesitate to come here if all you’re looking for is a good burger and fries

I love Freddy’s! Super think steak burgers smashed and cooked in their own grease with crispy edges, I could use that grease as lip balm! Shoestring potatoes are super crispy and delicious and the onion rings are good too, they are thinner which I prefer. I had the fish dinner the other night which is a Lenten special and that was just ok. The chili is very good and most of this place would remind me of Steak and Shake from other regions of the country. The shakes are great and the fish is the only thing keeping this from a higher rating.

The kids like it here, the parents, not so much. Kind of like a Culver’s, but with burgers that are not quite as good, and fries that are way more salty. They really love the salt shaker here — the sodium levels must be sky high! The ice cream is decent, and we all love the big thick straws. Not sure why, they are just kind of neat being so big. We even saved a few… again, not sure why. The fries are cut really thin so the total surface area is high thus the salt carrying capabilities are at maximum… did I mention the really high salt content? The food is Ok, but this is the kind of meal that you say, shoot, I really need to stop eating garbage food like this. I could feel my waistline increasing with each bite. EDIT: turns out you can order the fries without extra salt added, and you can get a lettuce wrap for the burger instead of a bun if you wish. I had not known this upon dining here previously. Adjusted review to 3 stars. Thanks.

MEH. $ 21 for burgers for two people?! YIKES. Firstly, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu — not to mention patient. Malts here are not malty(I like a little grit to my malts) but are SUPERTHICK& creamy. The steakburgers(supposedly a HIGHER quality burger) are depressing — very flat/thin dry patty, fries are weird and skinny(almost like shoestring fries). Probably not a comeback. I suggest just heading over to smashburger for a better deal & better malt.

First time here and ordered a grilled chicken sandwich combo with fries and substituted vanilla shake for pop. Told counter worker it was my first time here. I also ordered a single hamburger with pickles and ketchup for son. Asked him what fry sauce was and he said a mixture of mayo, ketchup and pickle juice. You can help yourself and take as much as you want I was told. The grilled chicken sandwich had lettuce and tomato on it and I added the Freddy fry sauce. This is the worst grilled chicken sandwich I have ever had! Had I ate inside I would have marched right back up and said what the hell is this?!! It was chewy and rubbery. I think it came from a frozen state and nuked. I had a bite out of burger and it was thin like a compact disc the counter worker described it. Seasoned good and tasty. I rarely eat burgers so good I guess. The fries were very good. They are thin matchstick size ones and the fry sauce was good. I also liked the vanilla custard shake. Service was good and fast but worst grilled chicken sandwich ever. Trust me do not order this. The gummy dirt sundae looks good, maybe next time.

Really good burgers, onion rings, dogs! A little pricey but very tasty. I have had the Chicago dog, was missing the peppers, wife had burger and onion rings. We go back just for the onion rings when we get a craving!

First glance, this place reminded me of a smash burger or a less popular in-n-out. The layout looks very old school in a nice way. However, the tiles were pretty slippery for certain people’s shoewear, so I could see them walking with caution when getting their food. I had the #5 combo as recommended by the cashier. The bread was greasy and the meat looked like a burnt hash brown. It actually tasted okay though but I would have preferred a meat with more flavor than thin and dry. The French fries are very thinly cut that they’re perfect for little kids, however I felt like I couldn’t just pick up one French fry at a time like other places that serve decent sized fries. They were season nicely though but could lay off the salt a bit. I also tried the Carmel turtle sundae that was delicious! It just melted extremely quick because of the hot fugue and Carmel sauce. I’d get that again for sure. It came with pecan nuts as well. I also tried some of the Hawaiian sundae which had strawberry, pineapple and macadamia nuts. This was my least favorite because it tasted so artificial and nothing like a Hawaiian sundae. It was almost a diss to name it that especially when Hawaii has delicious fresh fruit… They need to reconsider cutting fresh fruit for this one. Not canned fruit.

Culvers is WAY better. This place seems like a steak and shake /culvers hybrid. Just ok. Rather expensive.

Great place for people who like burgers! I have been there over at least 10 times since it opened. Quality is great and food is delicious. And I love the inside it is just like a diner in the 80s’!

Uh oh… watch out in-n-out! This burger joint is now my new favorite! Great service, friendly staff, and kept very clean. The custard is pretty good, but like other reviewers have said, it’s no culver’s custard. But the burger is one of my top three burgers I have ever had(I am gluten-free, therefore a self proclaimed meat enthusiast and expert) and now my #1 fast food burger(including in-n-out, five guys, culver’s, smash burger). Tender meat that sometimes will break apart. Very thin patties(which I hesitated toward) but have a unique crispy top layer. I am satisfied with the double cheeseburger(Cali style), but my father and brother prefer the triple burger. Loved it! Thanks Freddy

Ok, round two of reviews and I had the same verdict — 4 stars as well for this location. I know, it’s generous but I don’t feel 3 stars is fair. This time, I was able to eat in and spent a little more time at Freddy’s. First off, the inside looked like a fast food place. Once I entered, I could smell grease. I don’t think I’d be able to shake this grease conviction I had about Freddy’s. It smelled like fried food right away. However then we were greeted nicely by people at the counter. It was pretty easy to decide what I wanted. I was lunching with the Deetz and she was treating. Yes!!! I would go for the big combo! Lol — no. I went with single patty melt and she got a single cheeseburger with no mustard. It was really quick to get the food and they delivered it to our table. The patty melt was delish. I still couldn’t figure out if I loved the fries or not. I guess I didn’t. We also had the turtle sundae and I was a witness of Dita’s skilled tongue in twisting the cherry stem. She must be a good date. Besatch. The custard was thin in my opinion. I think I had creamier custard and I frankly prefer it thicker and richer. It’s hard to beat Kopp’s Custard in Milwaukee but even Culver’s was better on the custard portion. The cool thing that happened here was the staff were nice and sweet. Dita was wearing her fave t-shirt that had a saying printed on it «Feed Me and Tell Me I’m Pretty.» Every time they delivered food to us they told her«You’re pretty!» So sweet and it was funny! So, my conclusion: they’re not the answer to the whole cheeseburger world. They’re an addition and it’s fine and all. It will give me another choice when I’m craving greasy burger and fries.

Freddys is one of my favorite new restraunts. The interior décor is just like the farm kitchen I grew up in. They have really mastered bringing the feel of the milk parlor/farm kitchen into a modern fast food restaurant. The restraunt has pictures describing the history of the restraunt. Freddys serves a variety of burgers and ice cream concoctions. What makes them different than Culver’s you ask? Their hamburger patties are much thinner than other burger joints so they come out crispier. 2 of their patties is equivalent to a regular patty at other places. The young lady who took our order was personable and helpful. Our order came out fast. I ordered the original double patty melt. It was a good twist on a hamburger/melt. I was skeptical about the thin crispy patty theory the cashier told us, but it worked. The hambuger patties were even seasoned to perfection and the crispyness did play nicely with the bread, cheese and onions. The onion rings were okay, I have had better. The fries are a shoe string cut and were good. The restraunt was clean dinning side and kitchen side. With spring break upon us, my girls are very excited to try this place. I know this is a new family favorite to help beat the sameness of the Culver’s, Sonic, McDonald’s routine.

So wondering what Freddy’s is? Basically if Smashburger, Culvers, and Steak and Shake had a baby it would be Freddy’s, just a more expensive, loud, and egotistic child. First of all, Freddy’s has good food, its just I grew up with places like DQ, Culvers, and SAS that I kept comparing as I ate my food and Freddy’s just didn’t measure up. The custard is not thick, the fries are unbelievably thin, and the atmosphere is like being in a garage. They announce all orders over s PA system which really makes the place sound chaotic. Also Freddy’s obviously thinks of their founder as some sort of demi-god because his life story is plastered EVERYWHERE. Just what I want to read while I’m in the bathroom and drinking from my cup. BUT the most annoying thing is the prices for the custard. Not very good, nothing at all what the picture claims to look like. I felt gross not because of the food but because of the price.

2nd Time I stopped in was a few days ago. 1st visit consisted of you have EVERYTHING a burger place has but Mushrooms. I walked out. Seams that was the best decision possible. My visit the other day started out ok. Girl behind the counter was nice enough. I was displeased with the fact they use plastic cups. If your not aware of the plastic crises… GETEDUCATED! I went to my table with my drink and sat down. Then I noticed in the BACK corner of the restaurant had a sign stating they used their own«louries seasoning salt» I didn’t see this on the menu ANYWHERE! Needless to say I would have walked out prior to ordering had I known. Our name was called, I got up grabbed my food and immediately noticed I had the wrong sandwich. Gave everyone else their food and proceeded back to the food counter to «ATTEMPT» to fix the issue. Word for word out of my mouth ” Hey, I think I ordered the sourdough melt. I didn’t confirm the order so it may have been my fault. Can you take this meat and remake the sandwich with the other bread? I don’t want to waste the meat, nothing is wrong with it. I have yet to even touch the sandwich.” Now a guy behind the counter, says yes lets tell the cook whats up. The cook comes to the counter, and his colleague explains what I just said. The cook had started walking back to the kitchen before the conversation was even finished. I called the cook back and explained now not 2 times…3 times the same thing as I stated before. The entire time he attempted to walk away and blow me off. Saying«Ill just make another NEW one.» Finally after the massive frustration experience in attempting to explain I don’t want to waste this, I say to the guy«Fuck it, don’t make another I don’t want it anymore»…Walked away. 6 minutes later after I have force fed myself something I didn’t order… nor did I enjoy the freeze dried texture of their meat. The gal from before approached with the sandwich I had clearly just stated I didn’t want. I am 6.2′ 210lbs… I have no clue where Id be putting 4 burger patties, 4 slices of bread, fires and drink… I AMJUSTSAYING. Worst food/service experience of my life… and I have had a waitress chase and throw their tip at my vehicle.

This place is located in savage so I decided to check it out. All ordered items are made to order, so be prepared to wait. I am addicted to their«Concrete» desserts. The first one I had was a Hawaiian Delight. The second one I had was the pumpkin pie. They are better than a DQ blizzard. It takes them roughly 3 – 4 minutes to make one. It takes a bit longer for the steak, beef, or chicken, but the food is very delicious. I have received great customer service each time I have gone. Also, their price points are reasonable. Enjoy!

Food wasn’t bad, but I’d personally rather go for Culver’s when I am visiting my parents, and it’s three times as far from their home. I will say that the service was excellent. It seems that the staff is well trained, and is satisfied with their jobs.

Pretty darn delicious place. Burgers are great and fries are probably the best I’ve had(besides in-n-out). I really like getting the veggie burger. The staff are always great as well. Cheerful and helpful. Ask for a side of ranch and a side of cheese sauce, mix them together and bam. Tho the fry sauce just can’t be beat. Yes I’m in love ;)

Freddy’s has great pricing and is a mix of Smashburger and Culvers put together. They have very good custard and if you order a combo meal don’t forget to add a custard sandwich for 99cents more! They offer burgers which you can choose what toppings you would like to add and also hot dogs. I haven’t had any of the hotdogs yet but the burgers come out fairly was they let you know when your order is ready pick it up and on the counter they offer their special Freddy’s sauce(tastes like the raising canes sauce) Which is free on the side and ketchup. They have mainly high school workers working so don’t expect terrific customer service but then you are eating at a fastfood joint.

This place reminds me of steak and shake, for fast food this is as good as it gets. I’ve tried the burgers and the dogs, dogs are good, has a east coast style bun that most Minnesota’s will look at funny! But it’s fine and you’ll be ok :) The burgers are good be sure to order a double as that are defiantly on the smaller side. I recommend the patty melt, cheesy and grilled onions on the rye bread is perfect. Stay for the custard. It’s very creamy and smooth, some custard places have ice chunks in it and that always ruins the texture for me. I get a simple cake cone with a scoop of chocolate and vanilla. Kids go for the Oreo for 99¢ with the meal.

Steak burgers rule!!! Best fast food burger in town. The fries are skinny shoestring fries that are perfect. The custard is really good and it’s in the name but don’t be fooled. You come for the steak burger and fries. The custard is the icing on the cake
