Ghost and Gravestones Tour Savannah

Overall, this was a fun tour. Our guide for the 75 minute adventure was Sweet Sadie. She made the tour interesting. Along the tour, we got to learn about the haunted history of Savannah. I don’t want to spoil it for you, so I’ll give a few details and leave some for you to find out on your own.
The tour begins at River Street near the Shrimp Factory. It starts out with a bit of the haunted history of Savannah. During the ride, some of the streets have underground tunnels, which were closed off completely about three years ago. However, at night sounds can sometimes be heard from down in those tunnels.
One of the places we stopped at was the Andrew Low house. This place is known to be haunted. We got, to visit each of the rooms here, including the Low bedroom which was the scene of a death. You are allowed to take pictures there only at night, and only if you do the tour with this company. It’s not uncommon to find blue or green orbs when taking pictures with your camera.
There was one other stop where they do basically a storytelling. Once that’s done, you start to make your way to the end of the tour. You’ll find out the tallest building in the city is 20 stories. You’ll also notice there aren’t any modern high rise buildings as well. They say this is due to the curse put on the city.
Overall this was a fun night tour of Savannah. If you have time and are staying in the area, this tour is worth checking out.

In celebration of our two-​year anniversary my significant other and I went on what was originally supposed to be a day trip to Savannah Georgia. We spent our day pursuing the Riverwalk pausing only to eat tapas and try the local beers. When arriving in Savannah we did not plan to stay past dusk however when we caught sight of the Ghost and Gravestones trolley I made an executive decision to add a few more hours on to our visit and stay to attend a tour. This hasty decision ended up leading to the highlight of our visit.
The Ghost and Gravestones frightseeing tour is primarily conducted on the eerie «Trolley of the Doomed». Upon arrival to the departure location you are able to view the very distinct vehicle as it waits to be boarded. The outside of the car is plastered in advertisement, which is a bit gaudy but I credit it to being the reason discovered this particular tour. The interior of the trolley is predominantly wooden, beams with faux spider web threaded through them sweep across the ceiling and add to the ambiance of the tour. Seating is broken up into benches with cushioned bottoms; each bench is adjacent to a window. The windows are not actually windows but the lack their of, the trolley is what they call an «open air» vehicle. This is beneficial in the sense that no glare is present in any photos and tour goers are able to enjoy the lovely night breeze. Procedures are in place how ever in case the weather conditions become unfavorable. Paper fans, which also act as advertisement, are offered to all guests in case anyone is feeling hot. Contradictory if one is feeling cold, or in case of rain clear vinyl curtains are present that once zipped down into place keep wind and rain out. When stopped at a haunted landmark, parts of the tour are carried out on foot and everyone is encouraged to explore.
Our «ghost host» of the evening Katrina educated us on the ghastly deaths and the more lurid side of Savannahs history as we rolled through cobble stone streets. Her role was that of an informer but also a storyteller, she did a wonderful job of making all attendees feel spooked by the stories of the unfortunate and undead. When the trolley was parked all tour goers disembarked as Katrina lead us into the infamous Gribble House. Here she instructed all in attendance on how to work the «ghost hunting equipment» that was distributed and she did so quickly but diligently. Katrina was a phenomenal guide and she made the tour very enjoyable.
Ghost and Gravestones frightseeing tour allowed me to learn about the active and vibrant city of Savannah Georgia but also get a thrill out of its chilling legends and haunted tales. This specific tour gained me exclusive nighttime entry into the Gribble house as one of its many benefits, an experience that I otherwise may have missed out on. The main service provided by this tour group was to give its customers a thrill while educating them on America’s most haunted city. Though I personally do not believe in ghost I did get a bit scared when considering the possibility of experiencing an actual haunting. The tour was a blast and did cause the hairs on the back of my neck to stand up from time to time. I learned a lot about Savannahs most sinister characters and enjoyed seeing Savannah in the moonlight, something I had yet to see. In its entirety the tour only lasted an hour and fifteen minutes. Though I intended to only stay in the city for a day my partner and I ended up booking a hotel because us the late hour the tour ended at.
The city of Savannah gains a great amount of tourism because of the high concentration of horrifying deaths throughout its past. Tours like this do a great job of making a business of the publics’ interest in the paranormal. Because our tour was so interactive many people on the tour expressed that they traveled to the city just to attend a nighttime tour in hopes to feel evidence of the super natural. It is evident that the ghost tourism industry in Savannah brings sightseers from far and wide and is a large profit generator for the city.
I will be returning to Savannah and the future and hope to attend another Ghost and Gravestones frightseeing tour. Savannah offers a handful of Ghost Tours as they have a large market to satisfy but this tour is one of a kind and the service is outstanding. Reservations are required so plan in advance if wanting to attend this tour. I would recommend the tour to anyone of any age looking for a fun evening in Savannah. Ghost and Gravestones was a wonderful educational as well as a fun unearthly experience.

This is a fun PG ghost tour. You embark on a trolley ride through historic Savannah where your tour guide tells spooky tales of Savannah’s ghoulish history. Our tour guide was phenomenal #ollieonthetrollie. The first stop at the Lowe house was corny but it was fun seeing the historic home. The second stop at the riverside warehouse was a lot of fun. This tour is definitely fun as long as you have a good group on the trolley with you. We didn’t see any ghosts and weren’t creeped out at all, but overall we had a great time.

I wasn’t expecting much, but our tickets were free so I went. The first part, at the Andrew Lowe house was great. However the second part was theatrical at best. I have seen better things at Disney.

I took the trolley ghost tour with my wife during the recent Halloween weekend. Luckily we chose the day after Halloween to avoid the crowds and craziness. The ticket purchasing was way easy online and the check in at the business counter was seamless. We were met by our tour guide, Magnolia, who was fantastic, animated, and full of information. It is nice to see someone who enjoys their job. The night was hot, humid, and rainy, and the staff was sympathetic to the conditions, allowing the customers to open the trolley windows even with the rain. The drive around town was very cool because along with being a ghost tour, you learn a lot of history and fun facts about the historic district of Savannah. We then took a tour of the Juliette Gordon Lowe House and Perkins and Sons Chandlery. i won’t comment on what happens because i don’t want to spoil the tour for everyone. The tour was around an hour and a half. The only negative is that there are no bathrooms during the route, but they advised us several times prior to the tour departure, allowing us to use a nearby restaurants restroom. So maybe hold off the heavy drinking until after the tour. I would like to recommend this for lovers of both the paranormal and history,

Well hello there, review #666. Here’s a special, not-​at-​all spooky review reserved just for you!
I went on this trolley tour last night. «Trolley of the Doomed!» they call it, which obviously means it has to be hilarious. Keep in mind that my limit on a scale from one to 10 for scary tales/​tours/​whatever is just about at a… zero. I can’t even watch horror movies, let alone go in haunted mazes or prisons or basically anything related to Halloween.
So I don’t want to give the tour away step-​by-​step here. Just know that you’ll learn an interesting bit about the city’s history from a funny, friendly guide (we had Sweet Sadie — the one with all the «dead husbands») and visit two places, including the Girl Scouts founder’s birthplace. You’ll meet actors and guides along the way, and it’ll be cute.
If you’re looking to be down-​to-​the-​bone scared, this might not be the tour for you. If you’re in town and want to burn a couple hours hangin’ on a night-​time trolley learning about some of the darker parts of this cursed town from welcoming guides, you should absolutely purchase a ticket.

Husband and I went on the tour because husband likes spooky and I like history. We felt like this would be a good blend of both.
Our tour guide, Magnolia, was very animated and sweet. She seemed to really enjoy her job and kept us entertained. She was easy to hear when she wasn’t using the microphone but unfortunately the sound system in the trolley was a little too quiet to be heard from the middle-​back, especially while the trolley drove over the cobblestones of River Street. The uneven terrain makes the trolley shake and bounce pretty loudly so anything that was said at the very beginning or very end (when the trolley is on River Street) was lost for us.
The stops were fun and the caretakers of the first house were also very animated and good at their jobs. My husband thought the second stop was a little hokey, but it’s a haunted tour… you kind of have to expect that. I personally loved the second stop, I’m easy to spook so it was just the right amount of that for me and the last character was hilarious. My husband said he couldn’t understand a word he said but I didn’t have any problem with that.
Overall I felt like the staff were very much into their job and that is what can make or break a tour like this. We were entertained and learned a good bit about the town, which is what we were going for, and the guides were all excellent.

Pretty good. Ms Sadie was a great guide. We saw the Gordon house, and that was interesting but not exactly spooky. The second stop, well, I won’t spoil it but I hope you enjoy a good fright. Word to the wise, unless your kids really like getting scared, be cautious about bringing them on this one. The second stop scared two of mine (ages 9&11) pretty good. I wasn’t upset, they begged to go on it. It wasn’t too bad of a scare for them. Over all a good tour.

Earlier in the evening, though really only about half an hour before we took the tour, my friend and I saw the trolley on River Street next to one of their stops. Being the now outgoing, she asked the tour guide and driver on said tour questions about where it leaves from and we made our way to the sales booth with the expectation that we might have to walk around a bit before the next tour.
Surprisingly enough, we made it just shortly before the last tour of the night took off, made a quick pit stop, and climbed aboard.
Yes, it’s hokey.
Yes, it’s cheesy.
But the guide we had (Henry) was fun, the driver was great (Shiree? Sherrie?), and it was an interesting way to spend some time here in Savannah at night.

Absolutely an amazing tour for anyone who enjoys the ghost stories and tours. I’ve done several other Ghost Tours in Savannah, and this one has been the best one so far! Our guide Travis is a wonderful storyteller and it’s obvious he truly enjoys what he does. GREAT JOB!!!

A bit boring and long wait at museum in the middle of the tour. We should have done the smaller Hearst tour. The staff was nice just a bit to blah for my liking.

Years ago I did a walking ghost tour in Savannah. I was hoping this tour would be as much fun as that tour. The sales rep at Old Town Trolley said this was the #1 rated tour. After going on the tour last night, I can’t imagine how it could be a #1 rated tour. It was a cattle-​call. Feeling rushed through the entire experience and always seeing the next trolley pull in behind us and then the tour guide rushing us through to the next step. The acoustics on the trolley were not great either and I couldn’t always understand our guide. The subject matter and stories were very limited. It reminded me of a bad Disney world ride. It was cheesy rather than honoring the legends of the haunted city. It wasn’t the experience I was hoping for and a waste of money.

I took my two boys, 12 & 9 on the 8:00 pm. tour. My 12 year old was very into the tour and my 9 year old thought it was a little cheesy. I have to agree with my 9 year old. The tour guide in character and the final stop were extremely cheesy. The tour is entertaining, but not sure I would recommend to my friends. The haunted mansion at Disney World is better.

Best $ 27 dollars a piece we’ve spent ! You get off twice from the tour bus and there’s a show and all involved in one of the stops so it’s just not just a tour. Mike was amazing too! He actually let us squeeze in on a last minute cancellation since we were only 2 but make no mistake about this folks … It was a jam packed full house in the tour bus!

When one goes on a ghost tour you must expect a certain level of cheese, but this tour was a perfectly toasted grilled cheese sandwich. It wasn’t particularly scary (which is my kind of ghost tour) and our guide was entertaining, the ride comfortable, and was the perfect length. While the tickets do say you MUST print them and present them on River Street, there wasn’t any issue with not having them. I will make sure to do another tour with them when my kids are old enough to enjoy it.

Charlie was our tour guide, he was extremely enthusiastic and funny, also great chemistry with our driver Lexie seeing them enjoy them selves really gave off good energy for the tour! Super educational and fun, loved going into the two stops. Though, I will say the second stop was a little bit freaky with the show they out on and I wouldn’t recommend it for young children. (Even though it says family friendly)

Waste of time and money. I do not recommend. The tour was disappointing and hokey. If you’re looking for campfire stories on a bus you may like this. Otherwise, I recommend something else.

Our guide and driver were fantastic!!! The tour was historically educational and entertaining. I enjoyed the tour and all the tidbits of the ghosts of Savannah, and especially loved a mini investigation of the Gribble house location.
However…as a paranormal investigator, I really wish some things would be made clear to participants. Orbs are not ghosts!!! Dust, moisture, camera speed, bugs among other things all create ‘orbs’. It is rare, but a real orb will emit its own light source and sometimes come with sound… as we have captured in the past. The poor older couple sitting behind me were so enthralled that they captured ghosts on their camera they showed me, a complete stranger… I did not have the heart to correct them. People really want to know how ghost ‘hunts’ are conducted, and of course be entertained. It may be better to be well informed and keep entertaining content to the theatrics of the evening. The people are interested because of TV ghost shows and of course they are entertaining, but some are more educational than others.
Overall I had a great time, and would go again!!! But, I will never see a ghost in an ‘orb’ captured in a dusty warehouse.

Fun stuff! Our tour guide Anna was super enthused– not annoyingly, but in the good story telling kind of way. So you get aboard a trolly that picks up at the end of River street and take a few turns here and there. Learning stories about a fire in a orphanage, and terrible tragic deaths. There’s a little history interwoven and she does a good job painting a picture of creepiness into each vignette. You get an adequate tour of the historical buildings downtown and stop off at an old warehouse that used to be the site of an old house with several murders. You get to scope around in the dark taking pictures looking for ghost orbs and recording in hopes of catching some EVP! (Electronic Voice Phenomena)
They make two stops in total and do a decent job telling tales. It’s a fun tour. I’d recommend it for an evening adventure.
