Savannah is a rock star! Cut and a color, and I walked out feeling fab! Love this girl!

Savannah Buchanon was my stylist and I love love love my hair! It’s one of the pictures! They all were welcoming and kept me comfortable for my short wait! I (like most) brought in a picture of what I wanted and Savannah was able to tweak it to make it individualized for me. She’s super sweet and spent time perfecting my cut and giving suggestions along the way. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting something normal to something daring and exciting :)

I came in looking for a change of color from my previous custom purple to a charcoal/​silver. In the process of pulling out the purple, we discovered a really beautiful peachy pastel pink where the purple had been. I was hesitant to cover it up in gray, and so, we decided to switch gears. Jessica was awesomely flexible and creative, going along with my sudden whim. I ended up with a gorgeous titanium to frosty silver to pastel coral pink color melt (see pic) that I had a hard time taking my eyes off of as I drove home. I think someone at the salon referred to the results as akin to a «foggy sunset».
I cannot say enough good things about my results. Thanks so much for making me look way cooler than I really am! XD

I walked in a hot mess and walked out feeling fabulous! I had multiple colors & gray all over. After doing a lot of online research I decided to go with Salon 13. Not only do they have many great reviews but they are also #1 in Savannah on Unilocal.
I even lucked out by scoring an appointment with Marie. She got me in within a week of contacting her. it is hard to get appointments with these stylists and rightfully so!
The location is downtown but tucked off to the side so parking is not an issue. The interior is small but decorated very smart with the furniture and colors. It’s very comfortable. Prices are *very* reasonable.
Marie is welcoming, intuitive and artistic. She really delivered! I was quite happy with my first appointment. She has now become my Savannah stylist :)

Savannah Buchanan for the win every time! I asked for rosey/​rose gold tones, but didn’t want anything super vivid or bold. Yet again, Savannah rose (pun intended) to the challenge and I couldn’t be happier with the result!

Savannah Buchanan you make my life so easy because you get my curly hair. Never before I could wake up, fluff and go. And I mean fluff with my fingers and take off. You have consistently delivered the best no fuss hair cuts ever.

What an amazing experience! Jessi did my hair and makeup for my brother in laws wedding and not only did I look fresh I was finished in under 2 hours. I also had a bruise on my face from an unfortunate mishap with a trunk (long story) and she expertly covered my bruise. I would highly recommend her for any occasion. Thanks Salon 13!

Kristen is the Greek goddess of hairstyle… whether it’s a slow relaxing day with deep stimulating conversations or you need a trim in a pinch, you are guaranteed a great time with the utmost experience and ability!
When you first walk in, you are greeted with some of the nicest hairstylist in the Savannah low country area (believe me, I’ve been to a few places and a lot of them are horrendous). The environment is great with tasteful music and artistic portraits all over the place! Beverages are offered to keep the palate moist and the customers well hydrated.
Kristen was great with my hair; not only does she cut masterfully, she offers a plethora of advice on hair products that can cater to anyones individual hair needs! Great time, good prices… I’m am definitely a satisfied customer and will be returning to Salon 13: D!!!

I went in for the first time to get a pixie cut, which was a very big change for me. I live in Seattle. Since it got too hot in the South while traveling, I decided to cut my hair much shorter. Prior to making an appointment, I did a lot of research about the hair salons around Savannah. I picked Salon 13 because everyone had said really great things. Even though I had not received service here before, I had trust and confidence in your promises and reputation.
Seriously, I had the WORST haircut of my life! It was poorly cut and looked nothing like what I asked for. I feel like Jen didn’t put a lot of thought or consideration while cutting my hair. She just shrugged her shoulders and said that she had never cut this texture before. The result showed more of the lack of effort than anything. One side was too short, over-​textured, and choppy and the other side was thick and long. Both sides were not even. Not in length or volume. The bang was vertically straight. I couldn’t quite understand how a side bang should be chopped as a bundle and not blended in with the rest. I also asked for a long bang that could be tucked behind my ears; what I ended up having probably hit the arch of my eyebrow. At the end, my hair basically looked like a bowl haircut.
I don’t feel like I should even have had to pay for the haircut that I didn’t want. It was over $ 50. I tried all kind of things for almost a week before I have to recut. At the end of the day, I think how clients feel about their haircut is more important than what Jen thinks is cute.
I emailed them afterwards about how I felt. Guess what, NO REPLY!

Savannah Buchannan rescued my haircut and therefore obviously, my life.
I got Savannah’s name from a friend and texted her (this is how Salon 13 does it, you just text your stylist,) in a fit of first-​world disappointment. I had made a classic gaffe: get a dramatic new haircut (elsewhere) a few days before a big life event, in this case, moving my life to Boston and meeting all the new people in the world. And I hated it. I had been going for «sensible adult rocker» and got «soccer mom with a nutritional deficiency.»
Savannah squeezed me in the next day.
Savannah, who is cheerful and welcoming and forgave me for calling her Samantha more than once, allowed me to have my ongoing third-​of-​life crisis right there in her chair. I was painfully aware that my vision for my hair had suffered since the Cuttening. I had gone from mid-​back hair to the most typical of the Mom-​Bobs that laid flat like cornhusks and sadness across my skull, accentuating my wide manly jaw and yet completely obliterating any sense that I had cheekbones. It had the appearance of being perpetually greasy and gave me a silhouette not unlike the Liberty Bell. I gazed into the mirror and saw twelve-​year-​old me, afflicted by my mother’s inexplicable affection for «Dutch Boy» haircuts, yet at the same time it added ten years. It was something like the exact opposite of what I had hoped for — it aged me, and I looked sad about it.
Samantha worked with me for what seemed like an unfairly generous amount of time to discuss what we could do to add youth and volume to the haircut without, hopefully, looking like I was trying too hard. I was the worst client — «make me look young and punk, but don’t shave anything, dye anything, or make it so that I can’t fit in pretty much everywhere with a little styling. And maybe it could be versatile and cool for the summer too?» Well, spoilers, somehow she did it. She took my sadness-​bob, gave it choppy volume, cleaned up the uneven strands (yes, uneven strands), took up the height, and made it light and fun again.
Then, I committed the worst crime. I said I liked it, but couldn’t handle it because it made me look like an older relative she had never seen before. The cut was fine, and that relative was a particularly fun-​loving person, but I didn’t like the resemblance. Hah, deal with THAT, Savannah!
Savannah suggested going asymmetrical, which sounded like a big commitment. So she let me waffle another five minutes over whether or not to chop off a certain one inch span of hair. I finally committed and it was pretty much the best thing.
The cut can be easily fluffed up for volume or slicked back for sleekness. It stays off of my neck and out of my face, yet swoops down over one eye in a way I really like. I went to the beach and it looked fine before, during and after. It has volume even without product. Best of all, I woke up this morning WITHOUT makeup on and for the first time in six months I was happy with what I saw, even then. You might be thinking to yourself, this woman is mad! Can any one haircut be so?
It is so, my friends. That awkward bathroom selfie in my profie is, in fact, the new do.

Such a great experience today at Salon 13! Kristen is an excellent stylist. I came in with a vague idea of what I wanted and a few Pinterest photos. Kristen started to feel the texture and weight of my hair and instantly knew how to cut it and what would work for my natural wave and texture. So professional and such a great experience. I got exactly what I wanted.

Best experience I have ever had!!! My stylist Savannah was amazing!!! Not only did she do my hair beyond anything I couldn’t imagine (I love my hair so so much)! She is such an amazing person! So not only did I get amazing hair but I got an amazing stylist and I would recommend her and this whole salon!!! Savannah is a genius as Balayage!!!

Savannah is a fantastic stylist and I always walked away thrilled with my hair after a visit to her. I usually just let her do whatever she thought would look good — that’s how amazing she was! Cuts, traditional color, bright color, she does it ALL!

I LOVE Marie! I have been going to her for the past year, and she is amazing! I completely trust her with my hair. When I wanted a change, she turned my hair into a gorgeous red ombré. When I was ready to cut it off, she made it look fabulous, and didn’t make me look like a 12 year old girl (which I was super worried about). Everything she does is perfect. I recommend her to every one! Not only is she great with hair, she is so kind and easy to talk to!
I also recommend her for wedding hair and makeup! She is fabulous at blow outs and up-do’s and can make you and your wedding day stunning for your big day! She is a Pro at makeup, and I trust her with all of my wedding planning clients.

I worked and have gotten my hair done with Jessica B. For a year and a half and she is my absolute favorite! She’s a perfect balance of fun and professionalism! She knows her stuff and there’s never a boring moment with her. I’ve never loved my red as much as I do when she does it! Hands down one of the best! Also Kristen (owner) is a total bad a**! She’s amazing at what she does and also has a fabulous personality!

Kristen was soo sweet. She did exactly what I asked for and even gave me a few great suggestions that I am eager to try out! My hair looks and feels fabulous!

1. You want something done? Kristen has a game plan. She is super responsible and realistic when it comes to coloring. She makes sure your hair is as healthy and as damage free as possible.
2. She is great for conversations. You have something really random to talk about? She can talk about it too. It is like magic.
3. She has been taking care of my hair for ages and it looks amazing. She is the only person I go to! Highly recommend her! Great pricing too.

Kristen is really as good as it gets. She listens to what you want and always executes it beautifully. It doesn’t hurt that she’s tons of fun! She is an expert with color and the only person besides myself that I trust with my hair. Until now, I’ve had a habit of never going back to a hairstylist after the first visit. I’ve been back to Kristen at least 12 times by now!

Before I even sat in Kristen’s chair I knew I would be pleased. The consultation alone was thorough, informative, and immediately put me at ease. She obviously knows what she’s doing. By the time my appointment was over I knew I was spoiled for any other stylist… my hair was amazing. I get compliments on a daily basis from complete strangers. I trust no one else with these locks.

Kristin is absolutely amazing! While I lived in savannah she was the only one I ever let touch my hair. I always felt like a new woman when I left her chair. Since leaving over 3 years ago, I still haven’t found anyone nearly as amazing as she is.
