There are many negative comments here. But from my experience, it was not that bad. The service is good– I made the appointment in the morning of the day I went, and I didn’t wait for the stylist. I am happy with with my haircut. I can understand why people complain about the recipient. But, from my view, he is just too busy with his jobs. He was also cleaning and helping the stylist. Overall, it is a nice salon, and I think I will go back.

Terrible. This place gives Aveda a bad name. I try for more than a day to make appointment and only get voicemail. After 3 tries of trying to get a person to make an appt., I leave a message. A guy returns my call at the end of the day. I tell him I want someone good. He cuts me off and tells me he will give me Lindsay and that she’s good. The result? Lindsay gave me tabby cat stripes for higlights. She cut layers in all the places I told her NOT to cut. She ruined my shirt by getting bleach on it. She didn’t even look at the photo examples I showed her on how I wanted it cut. I now have the Carol Brady/shag cut that was popular 20+yrs ago. Now I must go to a real salon to fix this cut and the stripes.

Receptionist’s attitude was just awful. Really unprofessional. I was wondering if they just gave up to get a good review. «reservation cost money”,lol I was no problem with paying for my mistake, but for your service… no you will never get money from me! I will never come back!

Jim is AMAZING! He really took the time to find out my preferences and make suggestions to create the BEST blonde I’ve EVER had!

I absolutely hate my hair cut. Lindsey did NOT listen to what I wanted done with my hair. She just did whatever she wanted and said to «trust the stylist.» There were multiple times during the cut where I asked her not to do something and she went on to do it. If I disagreed or expressed a different opinion about what I wanted with MY hair she became short and curt. She ran out of time during our apt and only allowed less than 2 hrs for a color and cut. She did a good job with the color(which is why this is a two star review) but that is the only aspect of my hair that I am happy with. The cut is horrible and mullet like. I am now going to have to pay to have my hair re-cut just to fix this abysmal shape. She added impossibly short layers(after I told her I didn’t want that) that are going to take forever to grow out. Let me reiterate — I hate my haircut. I will never be coming back and never recommend anybody to this salon or stylist.

Being not from the Savannah area I normally wait to get my hair done when I go home to CA. Unfortunately, I could not wait to get it done this time so I made an appointment at Salon Twenty Ten. I arrived about five minutes early for my appointment and waited for 30 minutes before being seen. I enjoyed my stylist, he was very nice and fun to talk to. I was however a little disappointed in the color of my hair. I have very blonde partial highlights and I asked for the roots to be touched up and to add a few more low lights to make it warmer for winter. My hair looked good, but the color was warmer than I would have liked. Overall I would come back if I needed to get my hair touched up and was not going to be returning home, but I don’t think I would make this my regular salon.

not overly impressed with the service. I scheduled 5 days in advance and the day before, they called to find out if they could move my appointment back 45 minutes. I had no problem with that – but when i got there, it took 30 minutes to see me, she was over booked – another client came in after me on a cancellation and she cut the other lady’s hair while i sat another 20 minutes with my wet hair in her chair. She seemed rushed overall and gave me a mediocre cut. Didn’t really consult well because her idea of my cut and mine were very different. Hair grows, I’ll get over it, but I look like anne hathaway in les mis. It’s so short I don’t even have to blow dry it and it takes no style – not my idea of a pixie. Hope it grows enough in 6 weeks for a wedding to look at least decent. I won’t be back.

We came to town for a wedding and selected this salon for hair and make up for the bridal party. Their customer service is SERIOUSLYLACKING to the point that I was unsure if they would even show up the day of. We contacted them numerous times to try to get a list of products the make up person would use and we never received it. I was told it was«Out of my hands» by the receptionist. This is unacceptable! When the bride arrived for a hair and make up trial, the make up person had been double booked and the bride never got the make up trial. The hair trial went smoothly and it looked very nice. The day of the wedding both hair and make up people arrived on time. There were a few comments hinting to the day being an inconvenience. In the end the make up looked excellent for all the people who had it done, and after a few adjustments the brides hair looked very nice. My hair on the other hand was NOTIDEAL, the style we sent was not able to happen due to «too much hair, the hair being too smooth, and the fact that it had no layers.» I have had the same hair for quite some time and no one else has every had this issue with up-dos… The stylist did not bring any thing to add texture to the hair beyond hair spray, and I didn’t even wash it the night before of day of. I asked if we could maybe do a French braid and then a low bun, but she was un able to do that, so I ended up with two regular braids down the side, and a large bun roll like thing in the back. I honestly could have done it better myself. It looked like a princess Leia/Heidi hybrid and I just sucked it up because it wasn’t my day and I did not want to upset the bride. I can not recommend this place mostly based on the beyond poor customer service, and the way my hair turned out. I’m just glad they showed up, and that the bride was pleased in the end.

Salon Twenty Ten and Tiffany Pennington are THEBEST! I have been a faithful customer of theirs for a while now and every time go there the staff is courteous, friendly and make my visits more enjoyable. I love the complimentary head and hand massages I receive, I love Aveda products because I don’t feel like they damage my hair and I love how I walk out of there a brands new woman. :-) Tiffany is amazing and I would recommend her(and Salon Twenty Ten) to anyone who — like me — is very particular about who deals with their hair.

Thank you Genevieve! I’m very particular about my hair and it can be very intimidating to some stylists because I keep it extremely long. I needed a bit of a change. She listened and gave me exactly what I wanted. I will certainly recommend her to any of my friends. I also found that the rest of the staff was perfectly friendly, engaging an funny. No complaints at all. I can’t wait to go back.

I just moved to Savannah and was in need of a haircut/color. I was really looking forward to Salon Twenty-Ten. I love, love, love Aveda! So I decided to pop in and check it out. I hold Aveda salons to a high standard, 99% of the time Aveda Salons are amazing. Salon Twenty-Ten is an epic fail!!! The staff was rude and unhelpful. The staff made me feel like I was not worth their time. I asked to see the salon and meet a stylist. Nope. They said I could show myself around if I wanted… no thanks. F on customer service. Big mistake on Salon Twenty-Ten’s part. Big mistake.
