Very small shop but stopped at two other cigar shops in the area and Savanah Cigar shop had by far the best selction and prices!

Stumbled upon this small shop looking for a business that would allow three tipsy women to use their bathroom while visiting the area. Didn’t have a bathroom we could use, but one of my friends asked abut chocolate cigars and they had four different options for her to choose from. I have to say that even though I visited cigar shops with others before, I’ve never been inclined to purcahse one and light up, but the staff was so friendly and helpful that I ended up asking if something was fruity and was offered a cherry vanilla stogie that smelled delicious so I told her to add it to my friends tab and hand me a book of matches. Overall she spent $ 25 on four cigars, so in the scheme of things, I don’t know if that is considered expensive or average, but figure business like this make a pretty good profit when the tourist are in town, and the two ladies that were running the shop that night were very friendly and answered questions and had us laughing and thanking them as we exited the shop.

Frank says limited selections but you can still find a good stick to smoke. Prices fair compared to other shops in the Savannah area though still more expensive than comparable shops in Miami. I appreciate that they’re here when I need them or when my travel stock is running low while I stay in Savannah.

Quaint little cigar shop in Savannah. Good prices. Unfortunately it is a small shop so the selection is limited but all the walls are lined in humidors so its actually quite full of cigars. The cigars aren’t the top of the line that I’ve seen at other shops but they’re good all the same. I was actually looking for Ye Old Tobacco Shop but came across this one instead which was fine.

I am a huge cigar smoker, and had been told that Savannah had nice cigar shops. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any. Both cigar shops on River Street were complete overpriced tourist traps, and I did not want to support them. Savannah cigars is centrally located in City Market, occupying a tiny store that can easily be missed. Their three fairly small wall humidors were pretty well stocked with all of the big name brand cigars, and i easily found a handful of sticks to smoke. Compared to the other two cigar shops within walking distance from our hotel Savannah Cigars was hands down the best. I am giving them three stars because of their relatively small cigar selection, and inflated prices. Now, I am not from Georgia so I do not know what the taxes are like, but prices were significantly higher than my local tobacconist in Indianapolis. In a pinch I would definitely go here over the other two shops as the prices at Savannah Cigars averaged $ 1 or more less per stick than the two shops on River Street. Also, note that smoke shops are NOT exempt from Savannah’s draconian indoor smoking ban, so if you’re looking for a warm place to smoke a stogie this isn’t it.
