I headed to Siciliano’s looking to find great pizza. Based on previous reviews this was the place to go. Unfortunately, Siciliano’s no longer offers pizza on their menu. What I did have, a salad and sausage and pepper sandwich, was good but didn’t satisfy my craving for good pizza. The place is definitely a local hang out, with lots of regulars. Prices are good, food isn’t bad, and the bartenders are friendly.

Had to try this place because of the name. Neighborhood joint with local customers. No tacky beach décor or fake seaside tchotchkies on sale. Try the Stuffed Tuscan rolls, very good. Salads are huge. Pasta portion is also huge and comes with three giant meatballs.

Some of the best pizza we’ve had in a long while. We got the Sicilian — crisp crust, ooey-gooey cheese, and great toppings. I also got the side greek with house dressing — LOVEDIT!!! They made it with baby spinach instead of iceburg lettuce — I So Wish Everyone would do it that way!!! If only they didn’t charge so much for a little cup of beer :(

Good pizza, best for takeout. The restaurant is dark, dingy, very smoky inside and food can take awhile because of takeout orders and the bar. The pizza is some of the best in Savannah — which isn’t to say it’s great, but it is good! If you live on the Islands and want takeout pizza, Siciliano’s is where to go.

Awesome bar! The food is very good and there is a sit down side of the establishment for family dining.

No way this is NY style pizza. Artificial cheese that doesn’t melt. My first and last time.

Pizza was good. Garlic Parmesan wings were good. My whiney 8 year old won a cheap toy from the claw machine while my husband and 12 year old played air hockey.

We made a mistake ordering the scicilian pizza given the restaurant’s name. All I can say is wow, the cheese was the cheapest quality ever and didn’t melt, the crust was completely unedible, overall the worst pizza I have ever seen or tasted. Along with the carpeting sticking to my shoes, this was by far the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my 8 years in Savannah.

Pizza is always really good, but I would suggest takeout or delivery. The restaurant’s atmosphere is like being in a ’70’s roller rink. Also, do not order their Stromboli because it will remind you of a hot pocket, which at most smaller pizza joints, it’s the go to meal when you are looking for BIG.

The garlic bread appetizer was to die for~! Really garlicky just like we love it. The pizza was very good as well, not your usual yucky chain pizza. After using the ladies room I was hoping the kitchen was a LOT cleaner than the restrooms. Restroom floors were filthy as if no one had been in there to clean in months. Garbage cans in the dining area were full to the point of overflowing also had a lot of trash on the floors under the tables. There were 3 employees working in this area of the restaurant who might have used their time better by cleaning up the are to make it more presentable than standing around talking. Great for kids as they have an air hockey game and plenty of video games to keep them busy.

Waited over 30 minutes for 2 slices and 6 wings. 4 tables inside had not been cleaned. My husband and I were the only customers in the restaurant half. Used to enjoy this place, but not so much anymore. Sad.

Harken to their name and get yourself the Sicilian pizza — it’s a big, square slab of soft doughy wonderful-ness. The sauce is truly robust, rich and tangy. It’s not watery at all and has got some serious kick to it. The single slices are a good way to go too, especially if you’re on a budget. They are seriously massive. Plus they have fun, old(mostly shooter) arcade games to play while you wait.

This place is awesome. I love the pizza and the owners are great. Try the wings as well. They will rock your face!

Great pizza. Wings are awesome also. Shoot pool, play drafts, and jukebox. My recommendation is the buffalo pizza, ordered crispy!

Originially we’d driven out this way for barbeque. $ 9 for a pulled pork sandwich… no thank you *cough*Wiley’s*cough*. This place happened to be next door to the restaurant we were going to until we saw the prices. It was a couple hours past the time we’d normally eat lunch, we were starving, so we said«why not?» The place doesn’t look like much-pretty grungy inside. They had a cheap lunch special– I don’t remember the exact deal, but it was cheap. When the pizza came out, we were plesantly surprised at how delicous it was. Not the best, but good. We wouldn’t drive out this far for pizza, but if we’re already in the area we’d stop by again.

The servers smoke and eat behind the bar and don’t wash their hands –and are not bashful about it. Regulars seem happy but probably because they have no other choice nearby and have adjusted to the abysmal sense of depression the establishment conveys. The retro-hipster-1986 vibe isn’t a bad idea. If it was conceptual. It just unchanged and uncleaned since 1986. At least, you can assume that from the overall crusty feel. Pizza is better than a chain. Barely. Skip it unless desperate. And by the way, it is not at all NY style pizza.

Ny style!!! Not at all. First off, the person who wrote the last review musta worked here. Second, the crust is way too thick for a ny style pizza, I might know something, I’m from ny. This is the most rollerskating rink beat ass plaza pizza I’ve ever inserted in my gullet. I can’t say it’s bad cause it’s not but after a long drive and already tying a buzz onthe pie was still mediocre. Spread the gospel of sicilianos? You’d have to be slightly damaged to tell anyone to eat this, it’s more like spreading STDs than a gospel. Try at your own risk. Enjoy???

I have to agree with the other Unilocalers about this place, but for different reasons. The time warp thing is super cool… it’s a pizza parlor circa 1986 here with a mix of old school and newer coin operated video games and a connected bar with pool tables, and that is something which I can totally and completely appreciate. For those of you old enough to remember, Siciliano’s looks exactly like a late 70’s teen lounge sans slot car racing. For those of you too young to remember, go ahead and rent«Dazed and Confused.» You’ll get the idea. The pizza here is in fact like bad rollerskating rink pizza… again circa 1986 somewhere in South Jersey… like WASPy Voorhees(Jersey, but with no «Sopranos» crowd to up the quality of the Italian food). In my head, I hear Van Halen’s «Jump» or Duran Duran’s «The Reflex» every time I walk into this place. At Siciliano’s, I almost wish I still had my black Panno d’Or parachute pants with my half-mesh Chams shirt… almost. There is nothing to write home about as far as the pizza is concerned, but it’s also not the worst thing in the world to be 1980’s roller skating rink pizza. I’ll take the dose of nostalgia as an extra topping. Most places in Savannah suck eggs when it comes to pizza, so I’ll rank it 4th behind Costanzo’s, Vinny Van Go-Go’s, and Cousin Vinnie’s. So, when people call this place«astounding,» you should take it with a grain of salt. And when people say this is nothing like NY-style pizza(I lived there as well), again… take it with a grain of salt. As a Jersey ex-pat, Siciliano’s would rank maybe a 6 out of 10. As far as Savannah is concerned, that makes it one of the better pizzerias in the area.

Astounding NYC style pizza! When you first walk in, you are instantly transported 20 years into the past. The interior design and decoration is dated and basic but functional and that’s not a bad thing at all. You’ll see faded retro-Pepsi logo signs, arcade machines and cigarette dispensers(you’ll find that on the bar side; 21+). If you go alone, walk up to the counter and say you’d like the Sicilian Special. With that, you’ll get two slices of the best pizza in Savannah and a fountain drink for only a few dollars. If you’re with a group, get a whole sicilian pizza. If it’s your first time, don’t add any toppings. There is so much flavor in three ingredients you’ll kick yourself for distracting from their sweet harmony. I’ll save the best of the three for last… First you’ll have the crust, not to thick, not to thin; great balance between crispy and chewy. The cheese is cooked to a spotty, golden-brown goodness that melts in your mouth. And finally, the sauce. The sauce they use almost has hints of sun-dried tomatoes, with just a whisper of heat. They don’t over sauce or leave your slices dry either. Simply put, perfection. Try it out, fall in love and spread the gospel that is Siciliano’s.
