Off the beaten path and not as busy as the nearby«the public» who had a wait. Too bad since the place had nice cozy atmosphere and everything we had was excellent.

Walked by this corner many times, but stopped for breakfast before church. You can’t beat the outdoor setting. Great service and fresh squeezed OJ. One block from cathedral.

Had Sunday brunch here today. The omelets were incredible and the service exceeded expectations. Beautiful location. I recommend.

I think my friends and I may have come to this restaurant while the chef was away??? The corn chowder I tried was nothing more than hot water with corn skin floating around… Next up, the baby muscles that were basking in a sea of oil and finally but not least the MUSHROOM&BRIEMILLE-FEUILLE. One would think it would not be too challenging combining these few ingredients, but I’m assuming that isn’t the case. This entrée came out with old hard brie, soggy mushrooms drowning in orange flavored jelly. I’m hoping this was just an off day, however, my friends and I will have to pass. Oh, and a warning, the wine margaritas were a very good alternative to your wal-mart brand cough syrup.

It is probably better for lunch I had salmon for dinner, had no taste, was dry and the side they gave me I was not sure what it was carrots and some other vegetable neither had any taste They should have better vine list. The malbec we got, was overpriced and not worth the money Nice location better for lunch Disappointing for dinner

Loved this place. Small, quiet and off the beaten path. Tucked away from tourists but still downtown. I had the risotto and it was great. The staff was very nice as well, would definitely recommend this place. BTW, this place makes a great lime margarita.

Great food and great service!!! We had Valentine’s Day brunch here, party of 5. We were really lucky and didn’t have to wait at all. Such a cute place. Our server, Alex was awesome! Stayed on top of everything. Our 3 sons enjoyed their food and said this is their new fave place :) hubby had steak and eggs and I had stuffed French toast(valentines special) all yummy! We will be back !

The atmosphere here is really nice, but skip the food. There were 5 of us and the food arrived for each person at different times. So the first person was already finished when the third meal arrived. There is a dish on the menu. The croque papa dish says it’s lightly battered and fried. NOT. that dish was just simply toast with breakfast put inside it was bland and it was dry. The hash browns were super dry and overlooked. it was nothing like the description on the menu. One person ordered huevos rancheros. It was a sloppy mess on the plate and it looked like someone threw up on the plate. I’m from Texas I know huevos rancheros. There was no flavor in the salad and WHO in the world put provolone cheese on a Mexican dish. REALLY??? Coffee was good. I seriously don’t know how this place stays in business all they have to do is make a few changes in the food might actually be good.

I’m really surprised to see negative reviews about one of my favorite places in Savannah. I’ve been here many times, normally for dinner and a few times for lunch, and have never had a bad experience. The atmosphere is intimate and the menu feels lovingly crafted. Most recently I brought my parents to Firefly for the first time and it was easily our favorite meal of their visit. We ordered the coconut curry shrimp, mac n cheese and jerked chicken and all were excellent. The shrimp especially is a stand out on the menu. The sautéed greens accompanying the jerked chicken were also a favorite for all of us.

Great little breakfast spot. Portion size is good too. Fast and friendly service. Omelets and grits are on point. Outdoor seating available. Parking not may be tricky!

Stopped in at this restaurant because it had decent ratings on Unilocal and was within walking distance of our tour. Ordered the Rueben sandwich with potato salad. It was horrible! The corned beef was so tough you could not bite through it and the sauerkraut was clearly not fresh. To top it off it was expensive! $ 23 for two sandwiches we could not even finish.

I’m giving this restaurant 4 stars but it was a toss up for me between 3 and 4. I went in for lunch one day with my daughter, she picked the place. The atmosphere was really nice as was our waitress. The soup my daughter ordered was really good, though I didn’t think to ask if it was free re-fills or not and had to pay for all 4 of her bowls. I ordered the chicken salad croissant and it wasn’t all that great. The croissant was falling apart and the chicken didn’t hold together at all. I think it was also pretty overpriced for what we got(not including 4 soups since that was my fault) But it was very cute and quiet and we love it being slightly below street level. It was also very clean, bathroom included.

Great spot. Sit outside. Excellent view of a less traveled but still beautiful Savannah square(Troup). Good service and wine list. Hummus is delicious.

All I really wanted was a place to sit and write for a while. The firefly was one of those places I’ve always wanted to go to so I stopped by the other day. I ordered the sangria wine, which surprised me by its small quantity — I was expecting a giant drink filled with oranges, ya know. The wine was delicious, though. However, after I had my first sip I was told I had to order food since they were in a residential area and weren’t allowed to just serve me a drink. Not what I was planning for at 4:30 but I ordered a cup of the soup of the day, which was pretty yummy. Still, a nice place to sit outside on a beautiful day.

I was there the end of December. Great location, friendly staff. Billy, SCAD grad. was quite thorough.(Twice! Because friends joined us later) Fabulous. We enjoyed our patio table, beautiful neighborhood. Everyone enjoyed their food except for a biscuit that was dry, a bit over baked. We ordered my way Sinatra(provolone, scallion& avocado), hash brown plate, quiche of day w/fruit. Thoughtful details down to halving the grapes!

Overall, the food is acceptable and the service is okay. However, the view of Troup Square from the outside patio is beautiful and so «Savannah.» Also, I’ve never had to wait for a table. First, I’ve only ever eaten here for brunch. I came here the first time because all the other brunch places I could find were packed. The Firefly had seating available so we tried it out. The food is just okay. Their specialty items are always a bit odd(too much asparagus for my taste) and the food has yet to come to the table hot. However, it’s fine. If you get«The Usual» or a bread item you won’t be disappointed. The prices are also reasonable. However, there’s hardly a nicer spot to sit then on their patio overlooking Troup Square. I’d wait around for coffee and eat almost warm hash browns all day on their patio. It’s a residential square in a really nice neighborhood and there’s very little traffic. Frankly, I’ve stopped trying to wait in a long line for better food when I can just come here, sit right down, and enjoy the morning.
