Food: 4 Service: 5 Ambience: 4 Date/Time: 3÷9÷20162:00pm Very nice décor and soft lighting in the dining area. Lots of framed paintings and pictures adorn all the walls. Service was fantastic with Avery attentive and informative server! She’s been in Savannah and Tybee Island for quite awhile and has been in the restaurant business for as long or more. And she really likes working there! The Chicken Mango Tortilla Wrap was really good and so were the fries. The Moussaka was also very good. If you normally eat either of those, go for it! Definitely recommended for good Greek cuisine!

Don’t let the name or locale steer you away! I grew up making baklava with my mom and grandma, and this is the best I’ve ever had. The gyro meat-well flavored and delicious. Get the mix mezze-a delicious assortment of tabouli, grape leaves, hummus, and amazing falafels! Flavor after flavor, I enjoyed every bite. I will definitely be back. And Savannah visitors, this is worth the drive away from tourist central!

We tried to have dinner at Troy last night. Ordered falafel, hummus, and a lentil soup as appetizers, we all tried all three and asked for the check and left somewhere else. The only eatable thing was the hummus, yhat cane with not enough pita bread so you have to order a few more pieces for a dollar The lentil soup had no lentil flavor at all, it was bouled lamb The falafel were so mushy, i sent it back a first time thinking it was a mistake becauae falafel should be crispy and cooked inside, this one was even cold inside. It came back just the same. You actually had to pick it up very carefully not to press your fingers too much because of how mushy they were, we were only able to eat one between the five of us. Nice people but horrible food, at least those three classic mediterranean appetizers, did not get to an entrée, had to leave

Location is poor. Prices for some items are medium to high for this type of place. Food is excellent. Portion size good. Service a little rough. Waitress did not write down our order and was confused. She was friendly and tried to be helpful. Chicken lemon soup is a must. Mussaka was light and not greasy. Bread was light and fluffy. I will go back for the food.

Definitely one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in Savannah. It was suggested to me by my Turkish friend and according to him, it is really close to what you can find in Turkey. To start with, they give you free bread with butter. It was fresh but I think it was normal/everyday white bread. For appetizer, we got the Mix Mete($ 13). It comes with hummus, pita bread, babaganoush, grape leaves, salad and falafel. It might be a little salty for some people but everything had a perfect blend of flavors for me. For entrée, I got the gyro sandwich($ 9) with lemon chicken soup. You can also choose beans soup or add fries for an extra dollar. The gyro was great but the lemon soup was average. Also, please note they don’t have the gyro sandwich in their dinner menu, but you can always ask for one. My friend got the gyro platter($ 15), which comes with gyro meat, taziki sauce, rice and squash. I definitely recommend the platter, everything was really flavorful. I feel the place is a bit expensive but other than that, I totally recommend this place.

The food here was authentic Mediterranean food and not mention delicious! I started with the spanokopita and it was perfectly prepared. I had a gyro sandwich and it was plentiful both in size and taste. Most of all the atmosphere was calming and relaxing.

Fantastic. Went on a Monday night and had the restaurant to ourselves. The masses are foolish for avoiding this place. Great service, good wine selection, pastisio was not how I prefer but delicious. The Greek salad with gyro meat was great. I bet this place makes a killer lunch gyro.

It is one of the nicer restaurants on the south side of savannah. Very good food. They have the best gyros in town. The gyros are a decent price but there other menu items are over priced.

I only rated it 3 stars because my meal was about room temperature. It wasn’t cold, but it wasn’t very hot or warm for that matter. We got the antipasto plate. It was full of fresh veggies, salami, some really good mozzarella, olives… Wonderful way to start dinner I also got the Gyro the taziki sauce was outstanding so fresh and light tasting the grilled veggies were super good as well. Over all it was a great meal The waiter Chris was awesome! Ask for him.

Outstanding Food! The Staff was very polite and waited on you hand and foot to make sure your visit was pleasant. If anyone complained about the length of time it took to get your food… then go home! You have to remember that it does take time to prepare a meal of satisfaction and they prove it with the tasty comments from their patrons. Again, outstanding on excellent service, cleanliness, and by far, the tasty food! Hats off to our waitor, Christo!

I’m always on the search for reasonably price cuisine in Savannah. Too often, I have visited places that have good food, but they are overpriced by about twenty dollars. Keep in mind, these are places that are not located by the river or have some awesome ambiance. I went to Troy’s Mediterranean Cuisine after reading the reviews on Unilocal. There is one thing I have learned about Unilocal over the years. Usually a place with 30 or more reviews with a decent rating is the real deal. Anything under that can be prone to abuse by the business. I have to say the reviews were spot on. The outside appearance of the restaurant does not prepare you for the nice décor inside. I thought I was walking into a five seat hole in the wall place. It is much bigger, cleaner, and comfortable. I would even say the décor is soothing to the eyes. My date and I ordered the chicken kababs and hummus. Everything was pretty good. The price was right on with the quality. It was about $ 45.00 for the two of us to eat. It was worth it. Keep in mind, the prices on the Unilocal menu must be from before. Prices have been raised. It’s not by that much though, so you won’t be shocked when you look at the menu. The reason I took off one star is because they don’t serve enough pita bread with the hummus. You will need more and then they will charge you extra. I will never understand that. You should always give enough bread with the hummus and never charge extra. They don’t in New York or in Houston, so why do they do it in Savannah? That is not that big of a deal though. It certainly is not a deal breaker when it comes to me recommending this place. I definitely do. It is worth the drive for me and is, ultimately, worth the price.

Yes!!! This place was amazing. Such a random location. Thankfully, a friend told me about this because I never would have trusted it otherwise. You must get the hummus! The stuffed grape leaves were just ok. They were cold, and I’ve typically have had them warm. So that was a bit odd to me. Even with that, this place was so good. We will definitely be coming back.

I really want to give this a 4.5. My first time there and really enjoyed the spanakopita and the seafood stew. The portion was small on the seafood stew but the flavor was excellent. Got a piece of baklava to go and O.M.G. THAT was delicious! So glad I didn’t pass it up because I was too full from dinner. Their house made bread is excellent as well. Will go back to try the lamb shank when I return to Savannah, hopefully next month.

Order here for your next party. AMAZING prices!!! Amazing food. Big hit all around. Spanakopita was a little bland but the falafel, grape leaves, chicken kebabs, hummus, and tabouleh, was fab! Only tricky part is ordering. I tried to ask to put it all in one dish — b/c it was for a large party. Also order less pita than you think. We had SO much leftover!

I must have drove past this restaurant a 100 times, thinking it was just a little hole in the wall, nothing special. But last night my husband and I finally decided to give this place a try. As soon as I walked in, we were instantly greeted and seated at a table with no wait. I was impressed with the restaurants appearance. It’s a hidden little Gem right off Abercorn street. My Husband ordered the Lamb Shank, he said it was one of the best he’s ever had. The meat just melted right off the bone. I had the Chicken– Mushroom Penne Pasta. It was so good! I liked our waiter, he was very informative about the menu and Specials and constantly checking on us. Besides the Food being awesome, the service here was exceptional! The ambience here makes it a perfect spot for a little date night with your other half.

It has been a while since I have actually done a full review and I DO apologize. However I made sure that I took the time out of my work day to provide you all with a decent review. I have driven by this place for year and never stopped in, which was probably attributed to me never seeing cars in the parking lot. Come to find out they have their major rushes and then in between. I am sorry that I did not visit this place sooner and am currently still slapping myself for not doing so. This place is a hidden gem in this city. I can tell you that in one visit that I will most definitely be coming back over and over again. Alright enough with all of the jabber let’s get down to business. The Review: 1. The Décor is nice. The lights, the colors, the draped fabrics, the music, all of it set the mood for this place. It is not super fancy and it feels as though you might just be in a small coast side restaurant on the coast of Greece without the beautiful Greek coast to gaze at . 2. The Food: For the appetizers I ordered the Calamari(I mean who doesn’t want try to the calamari(Unless you have an allergy or something) and the hummus. Both came out fairly quick and I can tell you that I pretty much inhaled them both. The hummus is amazing and comes with a very generous portion of it too. The friend calamari served with a homemade tzatziki was excellent. It was not over fried and was not dripping in grease. And the tzatziki was pretty good, just not used to being as thin as it was nonetheless it was amazing. Entrees ordered were the Lamb Shank Dinner and the Crab Cake dinner. Personally I always order some sort of lamb shank or lamb meal at EVERY Mediterranean restaurant I visit. This is one thing that must be consistently perfect amongst them all! NOIFSAND S ORBUTS! That and the gyro platters! Anyways the Lamb Shank is a very decent size, big enough to feed two people, is served over a bed of homemade mashed potatoes, yes you can tell, and with a side of season vegetables, which in my case was the zucchini & squash combo. No need to even get all in depth with this because I am just going to say that the Lamb was amazing, it fell right off the bone and melted in my mouth. The homemade mashed potatoes paired well with this surprisingly because of their places I have had lamb places it on polenta. The Crab cakes are some of the best crab cakes that I have ever tried. More crab than bread is how it should be everywhere but we all know that is not the case. I didn’t eat to much of the crab cakes because I was to bust stuffing my face with my lamb however I would order them if in the mood to do so. Do yourself a favor and check this place out if in the area or heck even if you are not in the area and you want to kill some time. Unfortunately I was too full to try the baklava and will have to add that on at a later time. Heck I was still full the next morning when I got up lol.

I’ve been meaning to go here for some time. So today I did and really enjoyed it. My friend got the gyro platter and I got the gyro. Super fresh vegetables and great mouth watering meat. Peta was fluffy and hot out of the oven! Definitely a great Greek joint, if you’re mid town and in the mood. Great service too!
