Pricey for what it is and for Savannah in general. Some of their dishes are legit, others are not. Wouldn’t recommend it. You can get better food for this price in Savannah.

Wow! What a place! Looking at it now I’m so sorry for posting my earlier comnents(bad mood?). Just the scents you get even walking up to the place will elicit mouth watering. After growing up in the South, I was used to good garlic and spice with my Chinese food. On moving to Maryland I was very unhappy. Despite what was on the menu there was no garlic or spice. I got the idea that everyone ordered from the same place. My feeling was that they threw sea water on whatever and served it. Imagine my surprise when I returned to the South and found the same thing. Damn! Just scratch off Chinese. Having never been there, I don’t know how Wang’s stacks up to real Hunan(everyone has to dumb it down for us). My OK — the long story that you’ve just followed is simply to say that Wang’s delivers — spice, garlic and proportions. Go for it!

The green beans were too old and dry. Last time I had them was good. Not consistent. The kung pao chicken is always one of my favorites and the beef with broccoli, though a tad sweet, has such tender beef. Wangs also has my favorite egg rolls in Savannah. Not saying much, but the stuffing is crisp rather than stir fried and soggy. Salt and pepper squid was pretty good. Order from the authentic chinese menu.

Still one of the best! Courteous and professional servers, fantastic selection(vegetarian and vegan as well)! You can even select from the lunch portions on Sunday!(Best idea ever) The we can try multiple items at the same time.

So this place had great food. They have the traditional Chinese that Americans are used to but much better and then they have dishes that I have not seen around here. They started us out with their yummy wontons. They are addictive. You get a sweet duck sauce and a hot spicy mustard to dip them in. The scored fried fish dish was tender and the outside was crunchy and not greasy. The beef with Chinese noodles and smoky flavor sauce was very good. You can find a great variety of dishes and the prices are in line with the food quality. The waiters are very attentive and will explain the different dishes. The restaurant is clean and has kitcy décor. This is already a regular stop for us when we go to Savannah.

Have recently moved to Savannah, inhabitants of home hail from Australia, New York and New Jersey. Hankering for Chinese food. Hours spent googling reviews to diminish potential craving/meal disappointment. Decide on Wangs. Order astronomical amount of food for 3 people. Man on phone, takes no prisoners. Order successfully called through, due to prior organization. Instructed one hour wait. Confirmation of one hour wait accepted. Hour and twenty minutes pass. Call for eta, driver pulls up. 100 pounds of food handed over. Ok, not quite but close. Pork with vegetable, chicken with vegetable, chicken broccoli, dumplings, egg rolls, low mein of every variety. Vegetables crisp and sauce subtle yet potent. Ingredients all clearly identifiable and palatable. Beyond palatable, appetite satiating and craving, crushed. Wangs, tonight we have begun a love affair of gastronomical proportions. Your take out menu artistically displayed upon our fridge, waiting for the ever so familiar desire for good takeout. Thank you.

I’ve ordered dinner from Wang’s twice now and have not been disappointed either time. Unfortunately, I cannot give Wang’s a 5-star rating because I have only ordered their food to go. When I am able to sit down and enjoy the entire dining experience I will add to/update my review. Wang’s is very generous with their portion sizes, so you can guarantee not only are you getting your money’s worth, but you’ll be stuffed afterwards. The chefs also waste no time preparing your meals, which is always a plus in my book.

I usually don’t write any reviews for any restaurant, but today I cared enough to write a review about this restaurant. I don’t care for Americanized Chinese food, to me they are nasty anyways. Wangs II has pretty damn good authentic Chinese food, and what’s more is that you can ask waiter to customize your food the way you like. Not so many restaurants do that, you pretty much get whatever is showing on the menu. If you are into egg rolls and general Tso’s chicken you can pretty much get them everywhere. This restaurant is where you should order REAL Chinese food, the kind you prolly never heard of. Tasty and healthy! Waiters are friendly and food comes out fast too. They also give you free egg drop soup no matter how much you order. How cool is that?

Great food. We went before we went to the beer festival to celebrate my recovery. See pic of leftovers. Service was poor didn’t get refill and had to ask 4 check with only 4 other parties in the whole restaurant. Thks.

It was so quite in there… Like everyone whispered when they talked… I had kids with me and one in the early stages of «terrible twos» so he was a bit loud for this place as his laughter bounced off the walls it seemed… That’s ALOT of pressure. Lol… The food came out pretty quick, the waitress was nice, and it seemed clean, the reviews were outstanding which led us to come here… It didn’t disappoint… The food overall was good and flavored just right but it didn’t WOW us so I’m sure we won’t return…

My housemate and I ordered delivery from here, and we were pretty disappointed. The food took entirely too long to get here, and when it did come, neither of us were too impressed. For the amount of money paid, the food was subpar. Our order of crab rangoon was almost burned and my housemate claimed her sesame shrimp was«fast food-esque.» Maybe we caught them on an off night, but we’re hesitant to try them again.

My wife and I used to get delivery from Wang’s II, and we consistently had a «4 out of 5» experience. After a two/three year hiatus, we got a delivery again. Now, we’re giving them three stars, mainly because the portions have gotten noticeably smaller. The spring rolls are EXCELLENT.

It seems like some people love this place & others not so much. Is it the best place of the planet no however it’s not the worst either. The staff is super nice, the place is clean & the food is tasty. The fried rice is a must get along with the egg-rolls which I love okay that may be to strong of a word so let’s say I like them a whole lot, there much better.

I’m so glad I listened to the reviews and there’s a good, authentic restaurant in Savannah! Being from Houston and having visited China/Taiwan multiple times, I was devastated moving here and being subjected to the Americanized places. Like the others, I asked for the«authentic» Chinese menu and ordered the scallion pancakes, Dan Dan noodles, sichuan pork dumplings, shrimp with scallion and black bean sauce, eggplant with ginger sauce, and ma po tofu. The ma po tofu and eggplant were delicious — as good as any Chinese restaurant in Houston. The dumplings and shrimp were also pretty good. I was a bit disappointed by the Dan Dan noodles and scallion pancakes, but they were by no means terrible. Overall, I will definitely come back. The service was awesome(especially for a Chinese restaurant) and I can’t wait to try more of their dishes!

I read a lot of the reviews about this place and was pleasantly surprised about the place. We were visiting from Southern California and I grew up in a Chinese household and have lived in Asia as we’ll so I am pretty strict when it comes to Chinese food. This place is pretty authentic, and probably would survive in Los Angeles within the thriving Chinese communities. We ordered soup noodles, dumplings, and a tofu dish. Soup noodles were made very well, the pork was stir fried perfectly, noodles wee thin and broth flavorful. The dumplings tasted home made and the chili peppercorn sauce was good. Tofu was standard. Food was not oily and not msg heavy. Service was standard for Chinese places. Waiters all spoke Chinese. If ever visiting again, would come back. For those who are local, try their non Americanized dishes and you will get a glimpse of the real stuff served In Asia.

Finally found a good Chinese restaurant in Savannah! Food was great. Crab Rangoon and orange chicken were exceptional!!! The service was very good and the atmosphere is very comforting. Portions and prices are both good! So glad to have found this place after six months of looking for and trying many places! Try this place, you will not be sorry!

Seriously Savannah, This place is damn good, I just left Beijing after many years of living abroad, Myself and Two China Buddies, One from Wuhan. Were very impressed. We had Black Bean Sliced fish, rice noodles, sichuan style tofu, and some wuhan dry noodles. Really really close to the flavors I grew to love in China. Plus the cute Chongqing server didn’t hurt at all either. Good on ya, Wang the 2

I’m not an expert by any means so you can take my review with a grain of salt for all I care. I did grow up eating Chinese food and was lucky to have an enormous number of Chinese restaurants around me growing up in the West Coast. I stumbled upon this place because I was hungover and was in desperate need of some sort of Asian broth and noodles. This place serves fairly authentic Asian food. For all the critics that are ragging on their General Tso’s chickens, egg rolls, crab rangoon, and fried rice, seriously? That’s not Chinese food. That’s what you get from Panda Express. It’s probably a slap in their face when you order this. Take a look at their menu. Order the scallion pancakes, cold noodles, dan dan noodles, or some kind of noodles in broth. Try something authentic and then judge. Take a risk beyond your cream cheese wontons, greasy fried rice, and fried chicken in Americanized Chinese gravy. Do I sound judgemental? Because I am. I judge all of you who hate on this place for no reason other than that they don’t serve you your Panda Express crap on a silver platter.

This is a good place to eat if you’re looking for your typical«Americanized» Chinese food. The usual staples are here. You’ll find General Tso’s chicken, walnut chicken, spring rolls, egg rolls, yadda yadda yadda. The difference between this place and the rest of the Chinese restaurants in town, however, is that if you go to Wang’s II and sit down, the vegetables are nice and crisp. The food tastes fresh. In Savannah, you normally won’t get that at a Chinese restaurant. Is the food incredible? No. Good? Absolutely. Is that one 40-something-year-old server always grumpy and somewhat hard to understand? Yes. The few times I’ve been in there, he definitely has been. I’d still like to see some authentic no-BS Chinese food at some point here in this town, but I think the market here would have to change for that to stick.
