This was my favorite yarn shop in the southeast. Walked over today, it’s closed. Very disappointed.

Pretty nice shop. I’ve taken my Mom here every time she visits. They have a good selection and the staff was friendly. However, both times we’ve been here my Mom has asked for the directions for a shawl they have here. And both times they didn’t have it and didn’t call back like they said they were going to. So I think there’s a lack of communication between hired staff and manager and also the interest in helping the customer here. But what do I know, I’m just a guy at a yarn shop. Just saying though. I’d like to give it more stars, but twice we’ve left empty handed.

GREAT little yarn shop! This was my second visit to this shop while in Savannah. I went in this time, in desperate need of some yarn therapy, after discovering that a recommended store was closed in the middle of the week, and I was NOT disappointed! I had searched for some yarn for a skirt for my daughter and had not been able to find it, until the woman working in the shop, Sharon, I think was her name, just happened to show me this pretty yarn. Lo and behold, it was the VERY yarn I had been searching for! Happily, I purchased the remaining 8 hanks they had and am now ready to work on this skirt! Thank you Wild Fibre for saving my day! I will definitely visit again! Small selection of yarn, higher quality than big name shops, a little pricey, but good yarn always is! Worth a look — if you spin there is quite a bit for you too!!!

beautiful selection of yarns and nicely displayed. Also fiber for spinning and handspun yarns and art yarn. On the pricey side but very good quality. People were really friendly.

I visited Savannah with some girlfriends and the first thing we always do when visiting a new town is scope out the yarn shop. What a great find in Wild Fibre! The staff was very friendly and helpful — looked up a few things on Ravlery for us and suggested some great new yarns on their shelves. I bought what I thought was sufficient yarn for my next project only to find out I shorted myself a ball of yarn for each colour. No problem for Wild Fibre! I called the store and they took my order and dropped it in the mail for me. Yay! Thanks for helping out those who can’t count. The store itself is laid out not by yarn type but by colour. At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about this, but then I realised, wait, I shop by colour! So it was actually perfect for me. There is a lot of yarn from which to choose, there is even yarn for those who spin. Additionally there is some comfy seating for those who want to come in an knit. If I ever make it back to Savannah, I will definitely be returning to Wild Fibre.
