Village Pizza Deli & Convenience

Good food, good people. But, unfortunately, if you don’t tip them on a pick up order, they forget your bacon. And charge you for it. A while before that I ordered 3 bacon cheeseburgers. I got home and NO BACON on any! We were not charged for bacon, only the second incident we were. That 2^nd time was enough for us to never go back.

Not long for this Town. My family ordered delivery dinner from this establishment on April 24, 2015. The person who answered the phone sounded like a college student who had «smoked» too much that night. When our food arrived, I realized that two «Grandma» slices of pizza were missing. My Wife called and the person who answered gave her a run around saying that «well we did not have any left.» He then harped upon the fact that we were not charged for the slices. I then took the phone and asked for a manager. The person who got on the phone was the OWNER and equally kept regurgitating some palaver about how we were not charged. I told him that the guest sitting at my kitchen table was unmoved by the fact that we were not charged, and that she actually wanted to eat dinner that night and did not care whether we were charged or not. How embarrassing for us! He did not care and kept asking me what my problem was since we were not charged. I told him you won’t be in business very long with this level of customer service.
I have been in food and beverage for decades and all I can say is What a rookie! He could have easily said «I am sorry sir. There must have been some miscommunication and the next time you order I will throw in some slices for free.» Instead this little owner kept asking me what my problem was since we were not charged for the pizza and REFUSED to acknowledge that his employee may have made a mistake.
Will never order from them again, and I will personally tell everyone I know/​meet about the insulting lack of customer service and integrity this little start-​up business provides. I will also tell them how the «owner» was willing to be at odds with a longtime Bayport family over $ 4 worth of pizza! How pathetic and pedestrian.

Delicious food at an affordable price! The pizza and cannolis are amazing! Great service!

I was pleasantly surprised when I was driving thru Sayville and decided to stop in and give them a try. I actually met Tom the cook who was super cool. After I tasted my slice (loved it) I grabbed a whole pie and everyone loved it back at home! I highly reco their pizza.
