Pizza Vendor

The canned mushrooms, crispy crust, hot sauce for the top… I wax poetic about the pizza of my childhood — hasn’t changed a bit! Thank you Pizza Vendor, because sometimes you can go home!

The pizza is very tasty and is a crisper, more old fashioned style alternative to the other pizza place in town, Fultanos.
On some occasions the dining room has been so smokey from burning grease in the pizza oven though that it burned my eyes and made me want to leave as soon as possible.
I would recommend it for pizza to go.

Second experience while staying in town locally was not as positive as our first. Called in a phone order of multiple sandwiches (6) and two pizzas. Not the toughest order in the world. Had the lad repeat it back to me which he did without a problem. Ten minutes later, got a call from manager stating that they were out of sourdough bread (stated employee even was sent to local market across the street but no sourdough was to be found). No biggie, use a french roll instead.
Went in to pick up order and manager stated that there were problems with the sandwiches. She berated the employee in front of us stating that she doesn’t «know why he is allowed to answer the phones». (Well maybe the manager would know that answer huh?) He repeated the order back to me, so I am not sure if it was ALL his fault, especially when SHE was the one told to use a french roll for the sourdough order, and the sandwich was made with wheat bread. Point one finger, four point back at you my dear. Was sent home with veggies in a container, so we all had to make our own sandwiches the way we wanted them when we got home. Hell, even crappy Subway makes the thing for you. Oh, and they forgot the pickles for all of the orders as well.
This visit appeared to be similar to our last one with the fact that there were few dine-​in customers, and a slow pace of take out orders. Madison, we miss you already!
I sense a trend of poor leadership. It was pretty comical last time to witness, but now it is affecting the quality of your business. These are blaring signals that owners should heed and nip before they get out of control.
We really love your place and food, but if it is a constant boondoggle to get an order correct… the loyalty will fade. Get with the programme.

Secret recipe for sauce and crust makes this is awesome local place to eat excellent pizza. The luncheon special includes a light salad bar, individual pizza, and beverage.
Family and friends insist on pizza in their visits. Many repeat customers keep the Pizza Vendor an area favorite.

First time here… it was GREAT! tons of toppings, the beef was rly good and the crust amazing!!!

Best pizza around! I’ve heard people drive from Portland to get Pizza Vendor pizza. Brought some out of town guests here late on a Thursday night and the staff is friendly and accommodating as they always are.
I wish every pizza joint was as fantastic, but then Pizza Vendor wouldn’t stand out as the nostalgic gem that it is.

We absolutely love pizza vendor pizza! Whenever our out of town family comes to visit we always come here cause they crave it when they leave! It’s always so nice to go in when either Deanna and Lori are working or when Lisa or Madison are working! The pizza always tastes delicious!!!

Pizza vendor has been my favorite place to get pizza for as long as I can remember! I owned a restaurant down the street and from time to time I would sneak pizza vendor through the back door when we wanted a pizza fix! You know you’re awesome when your pizza is eaten in other people’s restaurants!
The owners are awesome and they do a lot to support our little community… If I could give it 6 stars I would!

The pizza is decent. The mushrooms were from a can not fresh. Old arcade games for the kids is nice to have. The salad bar isn’t well stocked or kept very clean unfortunately.

If you want great pizza with awesome service you’ll find it here. A few arcade games for the kids. This place has a great mom and pop feel not at all like a dominoes or pizza Hut. Reminds me of the small pizza places we all used to have around our neighborhoods.

This is the pizza place that you crave when you move away from Scappoose.
Truly. There is no other pizza that compares to Pizza Vendor. Yes, I have sentimental value tied to this place – my parents used to take us here post-​softball games, post-​trick or treating antics, before my dad’s band gigs, all of that. But the PIZZA. Cornmeal dusted thin crust, choice toppings, and a proud sense of a family-​run business. It’s unlike any pizza I’ve ever had.
Does the salad bar kind of suck? Maybe a little. Do they still have ancient arcade games bleeping in the corner of the restaurant? Hell yes they do. Do we still order pizzas from this place now that my friends are adults and own homes in Scappoose, and we need that pizza after a night of boozing? YES. Yes, we do.

In my opinion… the only place to get pizza in Scappoose. I’ve tried others and they don’t compare at all. Deluxe is my favorite. The décor/​ambiance could use a major update. it’s something right out if the 80’s but it doesn’t stop me from enjoying the most delicious pizza! And is it me or are there always 10 kids working at once?! No biggie, it’s just a little odd. Love me some Pizza Vendor!

The Deluxe pizza is really good! The toppings are really fresh tasting. We traveled 25 minutes one way to try this place. We will be back.

Perfect thin, crisp crust. You don’t come here for the beautiful ambiance, you come here because the pizza is incredible. If you are more of a Chicago style pizza then this isn’t the pizza for you. My favorite is the taco pizza without the beef and add pineapple. Only thing I wish they would change is I wish they would start delivering!

The best service always. The yummiest pizza always. Clean and easy that’s Pizza Vendor. If you have not tried it, you must! If you have tried it, then you know! Pizza vendor is the original hometown hangout pizza joint and their years of experience shows in every way. Awesome place for a birthday party or a date. They have a large variety of pizzas from a basic pepperoni to an amazing taco pizza. Their crust is crispy and buttery goodness. The kids who work there are respectful and hard working. Keep up the good work guys!

When ever I come back home I have got to go to Pizza Vendor for a canned mushroom and olive pizza. It hasn’t changed a bit since I was a kid, but when there pizza is this good they don’t have to! Last time I had to bring some back on the plane for later! There is other great pizza, but none quite like Pizza vendor.

While this is by far the best tasting Pizza for miles, the salad bar is in desperate need of updating as is the décor, it’s been the same for 30 years!
Why do you have to ask for the small container of ranch dressing? I’m sure if they put it on the salad bar people would use more but having to ask for it makes this restaurant appear cheap. I have never been anywhere else that does this.
If Pizza vendor wants to stay competitive they need to redecorate, improve customer service, be more welcoming, and redesign that salad bar.
As far as the pizza goes, don’t change a thing!

This is a good family restaurant. There is a wall full of older arcade games, and there are a bunch of candy /​small toy vending machines.
The pizza was surprisingly good, though be aware that the pizza sizes are slightly smaller than the pans that are shown on the wall.
As another reviewer mentioned, the food and drink purchasing is separate, but one of the employees explained it is split that way because they also serve alcoholic beverages.
