I have been going to Pure Salon for many years. Elida does my cuts and color, and does a superb job. I get compliments all the time on my hair. The atmosphere at Pure is pleasant and the people who work there are delightful. I am always offered a drink, and they make a point of having the magazines I enjoy ready for me. They have good wifi, and I am able to work or surf the net if I wish. I have never had problems finding a parking space. I highly recommend this salon.

I took my girls to get their hair done today. First, we drove around the parking lot for 10 minutes trying to find a parking spot. Then we walked in and interrupted the receptionist eating lunch. No one offered to take our coats. No one offered us anything to drink. No one was very friendly at all. No wonder they are not busy. The hairdresser we were assigned to, Greg, was very good. The rest of the employees sat around eating and eating the entire time. It was kind of disgusting. Greg, you should go to a better salon. I really wanted to like this place. Sorry, I’m not going back.

I recent used a Groupon at Pure. Now, I know these businesses get flooded after a Groupon, but they should expect the increase in business/phone calls, or don’t contract for a Groupon! When I called to make an appointment, the woman on the phone was very discourteous, almost rude. I called more than a month after purchasing the Groupon, but still 2 months before it expired, figuring I would let the crazies who buy & book immediately get in. I still had to wait from late June until early July to get an appointment! When I booked, I asked who would be doing my hair, and she said Greg. Put it in right on the appointment in my Droid. I got there and the receptionist(clearly the same person with the crummy attitude from before) asked for the printed out Groupon. Thankfully, I printed it, but normally I just pull it up on the device, and their«fine print» didn’t state it had to be printed. I told her I had an appointment with Greg. She said, «No, Gina». I told her Odd, I had it written down as Greg. She told me, literally, I was wrong. Okaaaay. My name was called, and a woman washed my hair and put on the conditioning treatment. The stylist who would eventually do my hair NEVER saw it dry — what the heck? Eventually I met Gina — a very nice, YOUNG stylist who graduated high school LASTYEAR. She did an okay job — a simple shoulder length layered cut and blow dry took her 50 minutes. Yes. She spent a TON of time on my blow out of my straight, fine hair. Greg, I might add, had a color customer processing most of the time I was there, and was clearly a more seasoned stylist. He throughly enjoyed the yogurt he ate at the front desk while Gina labored over my hair. Overall, the cut is fine — I erred on the side of caution and did not have this very junior stylist try anything like side-swept bangs. But they clearly use this to fill the most junior stylist’s calendar, and to me, they should let you know, and not claim it is a $ 145 value in their ad.
