Supercuts

I was skeptical at first because it is a chain salon. But when I called, Irene, the Manager answered, she was professional and explained pricing, etc. I tried her first. It was great. The following month since Irene was really busy, I went to her collegue, Larry, he is amazing! I am impressed with this salon. They are professional and I see many great looking haircuts + colors leave the salon. I am so glad I found it! I love my hair + the salon is great! The atmosphere is relaxed. I look forward to my monthly hair routine.

I was skeptical to get my hair cut here, I assumed the chain name would mean they wouldn’t do the best job. I decided to go after reading some Unilocal reviews.
I came in 15 minutes before they closed on a Sunday (they close at 5) and they still took me for a cut.
Everyone in the salon was very nice and polite. I didn’t wait long at all for a cut and there were quite a few people in there already.
I forgot to ask my stylist’s name, but she did a great job. She did everything I asked, I wanted to cut off 6 inches and keep it layered. She didn’t do anything extra, and gave me honest styling advice when I asked for it.
Overall, I got a wonderful haircut for a very good price with an amazing stylist and polite staff (:

I’m newer to the area and in desperate need of a hair cut. I looked at local groupons in the area trying to «find» a stylist. Nothing seemed intriguing.
I saw a commercial for Super Cuts and I started to look into it. After a little bit of website research and checking out the other Unilocal reviews, I thought why not. I visited the Scarsdale location on the morning of New Years Eve. I was expecting it to be busy that day so I went in early. When I arrived there was one person in the chair (Irene was cutting her hair) and there were two other stylists available to see me.
Irene asked who would like to cut Anne’s hair and the petite, enthusiastic stylist April said she would.
I opted for wash, cut and blow dry.
I have attachment issues with my hair. Getting a hair cut is worse then going to the dentist for me.
April was very good at listening and suggested a long layered look with some sweeping bangs.
April is calm and was able to give me exactly what I needed.
I’ve paid over $ 100 in the past for a cut —never again. With a hair cut, product purchase and a nice tip I spent less than $ 55.
I loved my experience at Super Cuts and plan on going back.

I am a first time customer and I must say I was very satisfied with my haircut. My stylist was Mahogany (my apologies if I spelled her name wrong). She was very gentle throughout the whole process of wash, haircut, and blow dry. She listened to my requests especially when I said that I wanted no more than an inch cut (i just wanted to get rid of my dead ends). I always go in thinking that the stylist will cut more than what I want but this was not the case. My hair was still at a good length even after a cut. I asked for layers. And she gave me layers. She wasn’t trying to be fancy with it or anything. She simply gave me what I wanted.
In conclusion, i was a bit skeptical about «supercuts» hair salons but i was happy i gave it a chance. The price is reasonable for a simple hair cut. By the way, I asked straight cut in the back and layers in the front. So cheers guys.

I took my 13 year-​old daughter to get her haircut there and Jillian gave her the best haircut she’s ever had. Jillian took her time to find out what my daughter wanted and her haircutting skills (my daughter has a lot of think hair and wanted layers) were above and beyond what she charges. Highly recommended!

The woman who always did my hair was Desiree and I don’t really want to change to someone else. She always did a good job. But now she no longer works there apparently. I wonder if it would be possible to still get in touch with her.

There are only three things you would expect from a place like supercuts. The stylists being on time, honoring the waiting list and a decent cut.
I recently stopped to get a haircut. Irene had cut my hair before and had done an OK job. She is better than average for supercuts. Not quite a ringing endorsement but as I have had some bad haircuts at Supercuts, better safe than sorry or so I thought.
I showed up at 10:45 and she was scheduled to get in at 11. I decided to put in my name and wait.
Irene showed up at 11:45. By that time two people who came after me had already left. Once she got her station ready, she went ahead and called someone else. At that point I was done. Waiting an hour for her to arrive and another 15 minutes to get set up and then they can’t even get the list straight.
I will not be back.
This place needs to get its act together.

These 5 stars are strictly for Irene. I have been going for 3 yrs. and this is long overdue…
While everyone is very nice and its very comfortable there. I only use Irene. I get color from her + my cuts.
I have sent several ppl I know to her also. She really cares about her clients. I for one will keep going to this location as long as Irene is there!

Nardreaka always does a wonderful job of cutting my hair. I’d recommend her for anyone who wants a professional haircut!

The people who work there are rude, not all but most. They work too quickly and tend to make many mistakes. My hair isn’t cut evenly and they made my hair look like a disaster. Now I have to pay more money to get it fixed. This place sucks and I do not recommend it to others. I would suggest paying 30 bucks for a good haircut not 15 dollars for a head full of crap. I am writing this review for my boyfriend.

Went here on a Sunday because my barbershop was closed. What a mistake! I’m a guy and I have a very simple haircut, short on the top and shave on the sides and back. It was all lopsided on the sides and the hair cutter tried to fix it twice and it still was lopsided. Then they gave up and said this is the best they can do… Going to my regular barber on Monday and will have to pay for a haircut again to fix this mess up. This is what I get for trying something new… Never going here again!!!

Thank God for the internet and review sites like Unilocal.That’s how I discovered Irene. While Super Cuts has always been a blessing to all those who aren’t living on a trust fund, Irene is simply as good as it gets, the jewel in the crown by any salon’s standards. She gave me excellent advice about my difficult hair, and she took her time and gave me a haircut that was perfectly suited to me. I haven’t had service like this for years, and I am now hooked. Why anyone would throw their money away in high priced salons when they can get the same fabulous attention by a person like Irene is a mystery to me, but their loss is your gain! A great experience, and now I no longer have to agonize about where to go or whom to use! Thank you again, Unilocal reviewers!

I’ve been going for years and Irene gives a great haircut. I now wait for her. Most are good haircutters but Irene is great. The true test is when it grows out. I had a stroke so was unable to go for a while. Except for a lot of hair you wouldn’t know cause the haircut was that great.

Go here! Ask for Irene and you won’t be disappointed. My daughter (a picky teen) will only see her. Great cuts at a great price!
