I immediately noticed the large signs in their windows advertising that their store was closing and that all the items inside were 50% off. You can’t go wrong with 50% off, right? And so, my fiancé and I popped in to have a look at their merchandise. If you love sports and beer, this is the place for you! Sports and beer seem to be the main theme with this shop. They’ve got various drinking/alcohol related wall art(banners, signs, etc.) that would look great in any basement bar or man cave. They carry a wide array of Chicago sports themed merchandise — throws, slippers and all different types of drinkware. They also carry Green Bay Packer merchandise(yucky). My fiancé and I seriously considered buying a few pint glasses so we could smash them on our patio after watching the Bears lose to the Packers, which honestly happens far too often. I mean, honestly. I sometimes wonder whether the Bears will ever beat the Packers in my lifetime. Anyway, moving on… Toward the back of the shop, they have a display of beer themed drinkware, so you can enjoy your liberation of choice in a glass bearing its name. I found it quite interesting that the Chicago Bulls drinkware selection was sparse whereas there were plenty to choose from the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs merchandise. Hum… could it be that the Chicago Bulls are the best Chicago sports team? And yes… I am very biased. It’s quite a shame that they didn’t have a better selection of Bulls themed stuff. We would have bought that if they had it. We ended up purchasing four Chicago Bears pint glasses. You can never have too many pint glasses, and they were 50% off. Perhaps we can drink them next fall while watching a *successful* Bears team winning games, kicking a** and taking names. Haha… one can only wish/dream/hope/pray, right? If you’re milling around the mall, it’s definitely worth having a look. I believe the store closes on February 13th, but I’m not entirely sure. Maybe they will even mark down the merchandise more as their closing date comes closer. As for me, there’s evidently one at my mall(Hawthorn), so I will stop by if I ever need Chicago sports items again.

It’s a nice place to find beer related items. They have a decent collection of neon beer signs and mirrors as well as pint glasses and pitchers. Basically perfect stuff for a game room or in-house bar. Prices on the neon stuff didn’t seem too off considering their relative difficulty to find. You could go the Ebay route but it’s usually really expensive to ship. The pint glasses were a mix with some going for up to $ 5 while some bargains on others at $ 1. They packaged up my purchase well so that nothing broke on the way home. As someone else mentioned, the biggest issue I had is with the return policy. You can only get store credit which isn’t that great if you’re purchasing a gift. I’d also be a little concerned about buying a neon sign and having it burn out the next week and not be able to return. It would be nice if they had a warranty of sorts on the sign so that if the tubes go out it can be returned.

I like this place. Yes, a lot of it is «junk», but would be super fun if you had a bar in your basement. Neon signs, beer tap pulls, coasters, etc. all have their place. I got some glasses with my husband’s favorite beer logo imprinted, he likes them. Maybe that makes us white trash, but I think they’re fun. When you’re drinking beer, who needs to be highbrow anyway? Not I. (Though I have to admit it’s a slightly grown up version of Spencer Gifts.)

Some cool stuff, but mostly junk… and it’s all overpriced. If you absolutely HAVE to buy stuff here, at least wait until they have a sale. Oh, and their return policy is shite: store credit or equal exchange… no cash back. I almost bought a gift here but chose not to because a) it was junk and b) I was afraid I couldn’t return this junk if I wanted/needed to.

This is the perfect place to get a gift for someone who loves the décor in bars! They’ve got neon signs, coasters, napkins, and a huge collection of pint glasses! You could literally transform your apartment into a bar atmosphere by going on a shopping spree at this store!
