Had to fix a flat on my son’s bike, called them about it, walk in, in and out the door in about 10 minutes. Excellent Service! Very nice people!!!

I was shopping for my first REAL road bike… with very little knowledge of brands, specs, and what’s currently on the market. The man I was working with answered all my questions. He encouraged me to ride several bikes around the parking lot to get a feel for how they fit. He didn’t try to up-​sell me. He just simply showed me the entry-​level bikes they had in my size!
I did not end up buying my bike here, although I came very close. They had a Giant Defy 5 that was beautiful… but I tried the women’s version of it at another store (Giant’s 2016 Liv Avail 4) and fell in love. I will DEFINITELY be back for service and accessories. This place was great!

Came to this shop because all the other reviews were really good, and I totally agree. Really awesome service, and very friendly (no bike snob attitude here). My initial plan was just to do a simple tube replacement, but they also pointed out other trouble areas on my bike — which I’m really glad they did because I had no idea how bad of shape my bike was in. They did an excellent job tuning it up and, now my bike rides so much better than before! Will definitely be coming back.

AMAZING SERVICE! The second I walked in, someone came up to help me. I explained what kind of bike I was looking for and they showed me the available options. They didn’t try to up-​sell the more expensive bikes and were very honest about the short comings of different bikes. After we decided what type of bike I wanted, they let me ride around the large parking lot in back to see how each one felt. They even had me try different sizes JUST IN CASE it would feel more comfortable. I also wanted to try a Specialized brand bike, but they didn’t have one built yet (still in box). They told me to stop by in a couple hours and I could try that one too.
I ended up walking away with a great bike and a helmet (safety first!). They showed me how to take off the wheel with the quick release to get it in my car too!
I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends for purchasing new bikes and equipment.

These guys are incredible! David and his team were the most kind, helpful, and generous people you would like to come in contact with. I am riding my bike across the country, after a few days of shifting issues my team and I brought in some of our bikes and they worked on them free of charge. They knew what they were talking about, and were genuinely interested in what we are doing– they even stayed after hours to make sure everything was completed. Awesome shop!

Best bike shop in the Schaumburg/​Hoffman Estates area… I purchased a new racing bike after my divorce and within a month it was stolen off my porch– a couple of my friends stopped in to get their tires repaired, mentioned to the owner about my theft. knowing my circumstance, he had a donated Trek Woman’s bike that he had tuned up, repaired and he gave it to me as a token of good karma.
I will never go to another bike shop again! The used Trek is awesome and my faith in mankind is restored. The shop has a wide variety of bikes, nice selection of clothing along with a table for riders who stop by for a drink or break. Near Woodfield Mall tucked away on the left hand side of Roselle before Golf.

Great experience buying my bike. Rick took the time to size me up right (I’m 6’6″). Got a large and he checked availability on an XL just in case. Good thing he did. I rode it called him the next day to get the XL and in three days picked up the beautiful 29er!

Very professional bike shop and highly recommended! I found Bike Connection on Unilocal and all the 5 star ratings are perfectly justified. We took my finances bike in for a tune up and Dan helped us out by showing us what the tune up would consist of and showed us that we might need a new wheel as it was completely out of alignment. Dan kept me updated the two days they had it and he remembered us even though I forgot my ticket. I will definitely recommend Bike Connection and visit them again for tune ups on our bikes and for accessories for our bikes.

Terrific customer service over the phone when I called to inquire if they had particular tires in stock and price. Pleased with our purchase today and the excellent customer service received at the store along with helpful advice pertaining to the product.

Saw this bike store for the many years I lived in here but never had a bike till recently. Called 10 minutes before getting there just for a new tube and had it done in 10 minutes at a fair price. This place definitely proved me wrong about suburban bike shops.

First (belated) ride of the year and I somehow end up with a flat even before I make it onto the trail. Sooooo frustrating! Go me.
I’d driven by Bike Connection for years but had never been. I zoomed right over and they got to working on my tire immediately. I watched them inflate and inspect the old tube for punctures.
$ 7 for a new tube, $ 10 for labor, and in and out in about 10 minutes– totally worth it for this biking n00b! I even had time to make it onto the trail before dark.
They also greeted every customer and were totally laid back — no pushy sales tactics it seems.
I HOPE I don’t pop another tube anytime soon, but if I do I know where to go!

This place is amazing! We took my 5-​year-​old in today for his first bike. We wanted a Specialized Hotrock, and the clerk brought out a used one from the basement, saving me over $ 100. Also: nobody flinched when they saw that my son had not yet learned to pedal, and nobody smirked when he asked for a basket. They were just great. Wonderful customer service, competitive prices. Highly recommended.

I walked in, explained what I wanted and the price that I wanted it for, and walked out within 15 minutes with a brand new bike that was perfect for me. It fit my budget, my needs, and me!

This shop has been here forever, and there’s a reason why. They are simply phenomenal in every way.
I purchased a bike there last summer, and along with it, purchased their flat tire replacement program. It covers all flat tires, free of charge, for LIFE. Well, I ride on some rough terrain with my road bike (unfortunately the suburbs are simply not bike friendly), and have popped approximately 20 or so tires (well, inner tubes). They replaced them no questions asked everytime. They also check up on my bike to make sure everything looks good.
Recently I bought some new Gatorskin tires elsewhere, and they just put them on for me for free regardless. They probably could have charged me since I didn’t buy them there, but they didn’t.
On top of that, every employee is absolutely fantastic. They are always friendly, knowledgeable, and caring.
These guys will have my business for life, and I’m someone who really enjoys biking!

After spending a few months of research, I had decided on a bike to satisfy my adventure/​touring/​weekend rides needs. I called around/​emailed multiple shops in the area to check stock for that model in my size, but I was either put on hold and forgotten about, or never received a reply back.
I decided to hop on Unilocal and saw Bike Connection Schaumburg as one of the highest rated shops in the area. The website was one of the best in terms of providing info and pricing, and also displayed all sizes readily available or for back order. They had what I wanted in my size, so I placed the order. The stock status said that it would be shipped from a warehouse, so I expected 3 – 4 days in terms of shipping to the store and build time.
To my surprise, I got a call the next day saying my bike was in! I was asked if I’d like to assemble it myself or allow them to do it for me for no charge. I opted to let them assemble and was told that my bike would be next on the rack and ready in 2 hours.
I stopped in to pick it (Surly Cross Check) up on the way home from work the same day and was greeted promptly and pleasantly. I said I was here for the Surly and was immediately told «That is a really nice bike, we are really impressed!». As silly as it sounds, it was nice to hear genuine excitement/​enjoyment. I had already paid via the website, so there really was no reason to engage me any further other than the simple fact that they wanted to talk bikes. This is awesome. I chatted for a quick minute, and it was pointed out that the left bar shifter had some damage in shipping (it looks like the shifter end was a bit chewed but didn’t affect performance), but that they had a call out to the manufacturer and a new one was on the way, and I’d receive a call to bring it in for free replacement. I understand that sometimes things happen in shipping, and I fully believe that if there was any major issue with the bike, they wouldn’t have let me out the door.
Though I didn’t have any service work done, it was obvious that the staff are knowledgeable and enjoy their jobs. After some other sub-​par experiences with other local shops, I know I’ve found «my» place.

I needed to get my bike tuned up and since I moved to a new hood, I decided to check out Unilocal to see what bike shops had the best service and this one came out tops. unfortunately, my experience was anything but the best.
I brought in my bike for a tune up and then another bike to fix a bent wheel. they ran a special throughout august for $ 39 tune up special (as opposed to the usual $ 65 for the tune up), and it’s exactly what I needed. they actually finished the tune up rather quickly. they said it would take a couple of days since there were a lot of bikes that needed to be worked on, but they called me early the next day. my other bike wasn’t ready yet so I waited until they finished the other bike.
unfortunately, the other bike needed it’s wheel completely replaced and they said they couldn’t fix it. I didn’t think the wheel was that bad off, but I trusted these guys so they replaced the entire wheel for $ 84 (with tax and service charge to put the wheel on). kind of steep now that I think about it.
They gave me a call letting me know that both bikes were fixed and ready to be picked up. so I headed on over with my bike rack to pick up both bikes. I arrived to find that they had received the wheel for the 2^nd bike but hadn’t installed it yet. so I had to wait about 10 – 15 min for it to be installed. I also got my own bike back and noticed that the bell was missing from it. it’s a small bell that comes with all trek bikes, so not a huge deal, but something like that shouldn’t go missing. they offered to give me a new bell, but the ones they offered were huge! so yea, no thanks. They also installed my front wheel on backwards, which is not a huge deal either, but I have a speedometer on my bike and the sensor ended up being on the wrong side of the wheel since they installed it backwards. they were also supposed to clean the bike completely and while most of the bike looked good, they missed quite a few spots and I feel like they loosened my brakes a bit too much. so overall I feel like they didn’t do a good job on the tuneup.
unfortunately, this bike shop didn’t live up to the Unilocal reviews. sloppy work is all I saw here, and I would look elsewhere for any work that needs to be done to your bike.

This place is fantastic, and it’s mostly because of their Mechanics. The staff that does the register $ transaction and sales, is young, and not very informed, or good at customer service/​meeting with clients. However, they probably just need to be trained.
My experience was that I was riding to work after cruising through Busse Woods, and my Bike’s Chord Connection from the Handle bar to my Rear Gear Dérailleur broke. So, I found this place because it was close to where my work is located and I could ride there from Busse Woods. They immediately fixed my bike. The Mechanic happened to also notice that my Front WheelChain Dérailleur was also broken and he quickly fixed it. This place is definitely honest and good at working with bikes. The best part is that they will fix your bike on your first visit there in case of emergencies and if you cannot leave the bike at their shop overnight. I will definitely go back.

Friendly staff, OK selection, good techs.
I’ve purchased four bikes here and haven’t been disappointed once.
My only grouse is that their selection is kind of limited. They are, however, willing to order anything you need.

I took my bike in for a brake adjustment which they did while I waited. They were all so friendly and helpful. Although they were very busy while I was there they were great and helped me right away.
The store may not look busy as the entrance is in the back but they are they are a good store. It is so nice to have good customer service! I will be back.
