Illinios Secretary of State

On Thursday this past week i went to the dmv i arrived at 8:42, just 12 minutes after they opened and there were already a good amount of people there sitting down waiting.
I waited in a double line for the 1 lady working the 2 lines. Im up next and then she tells another lady to go ahead of me. Im getting pretty annoyed at this point and don’t understand why a woman in her mid 30s got to cut ahead of me and i get to wait some more. then she tells me to come up, that its my turn so i walk up to the desk and pull out my documents, but then tells a little old man to go ahead of me. Which fine, hes a senior citizen, i get it, but why tell me to even come up next??? So now after waiting for the woman that got to cut ahead of me i wait for the little old man.
After i finally got seen and given a number i noticed a big rush of people coming in, there was now a really big line that was almost out the door. So memo to self, arrive before 8:40am.
When i sat around waiting it really wasnt that long i was only sitting for maybe six minutes max, which beats the Elgin dmv anyday on all levels.

Who says a trip to the DMV has to be painful? :)

— License Plate Sticker Renewal
— Update of Car Title
The line is always kept moving smoothly (even when the room appears packed!), the service desks are well-​staffed with well-​trained personnel, and most of those personnel are friendly.
Today I was assisted by Cherish and, though I did not bring in everything required for the updates I hoped to complete today, she was patient, kind, and extremely helpful with me. Now I can return better prepared!

Fastest DMV around.
It’s always busy during lunch, but this location is super quick, organized, and employees are more helpful and less surly than other locations. I was able to get a new vehicle sticker and updated drivers license in under 35 mins.
