The beds are crap, all cracked and bulbs blown. Never any music in any bed.
Over priced, it’s sad this place totally changed it use to be a fav of mine.

It’s probably a big shame that I have 337 check-​ins here but even worse is the number of times I’ve been here is way more than that. I’m always forgetting to check in! Rest easy tigers, as I only do the spray tanning. I don’t get all of the cancer rays and stuff, just chemicals sprayed onto my skin for the illusion of such an experience.
This particular LA Tan is my jam. All the ladies (and sometimes a random fella or the owner dude) know me, so before I even walk in the door they have things all set for me and always ask, «The usual?» And then all I need to do is scan my finger and I’m good to go. It’s my Cheers of tanning. A few years ago, they told me some chick came in trying to say she was me and get in on my tanning package. B!@#$ please, they know me up in hea! Nice try, weirdo. On that note, I have an awesome package that allows me an unlimited amount of sprays per month… love it!
I was all in love with the VersaSpa here and just in the past week they got a VERSASPA PRO! Yea, huh. It’s pro folks. I gave it a go today and man, is it amazing. It’s a marvel in modern machinery. It takes a bit longer than the VersaSpa but it’s well worth. It starts you off with the tan developing spray, then dries you off with amazing heated dryers, then does a bronzing spray if you want that, then heated dry again, and finally a moisturizing spray (that’s new!!!) and another round of heated drying. I love the heat… love how dry it gets me — no towels are even needed — and love the moisturizer! I even would venture to say the Level 3 got me a smidge darker than usual. My, how spray tanning has evolved since I was a teenager!
My pale face is so very thankful for LA Tan and it’s many wonders!

It USE to be the best tanning salon around. The customer service has just gone down the drain and the staff is such a disappointment!
I have been tanning seasonally since I was in high school (when it was still legal with parent’s consent) and the atmosphere was fantastic! The staff took the time to get to know me and my tanning preferences. They would always work with me to make sure I completely understood what they were selling me and that I was completely happy with my purchase.
Now they couldn’t careless. I brought this to the attention to the owner and he told me it was basically my own fault for being ignorant. Like I’m supposed to have his packages memorized. What a joke! I’m so disappointed that my long time favorite tanning salon has turned into such a dump! No mirrors, not enough towels, and the beds are disgusting!

This place should be closed down!
The girls working here are less than friendly and put nasty things including name calling on your account so that when you go in and you give them your name you could see the expression on the girls face that’s reading the notes and how derogatory they are!
Yes I am plus size however I’m not a oily pig as stated in the comments under my name.
The girls are unprofessional and the owners is aware of the behavior and does nothing about it.
I will take my business else where.

This place sucks. first one i been to. Customer appreciation day 3 buck tan. I payed 15. I paid 10 for a single pack of lotion which was outrageous. I was given a room right by the front window of the salon that made me feel prople could see in. No
towel and no garbage. Never again will I come to this location.

I went to get a spray tan at this location for the very first time and the guy was VERY helpful. He helped me pick which level would fit my skin tone the best and explained everything to me! He was very patient and had good energy! I will definitely be visiting this location again! I wish I remembered his name so I could call the store and complement him!

OMG Where to start? I am soo upset. Yesterday was the $ 3 tan and i decided to go all the way to schaumburg to check out the store. I was in a hurry so when i walked in i let the guy know that i am really in a hurry. He kept trying to sell me so many things. Then finally he put me in a bed and i wanted to pay with my card (I dont carry cash) and he told me its impossible because they have $ 8 limit. I left the store, totally wasted my time, and let me tell you guys I WENT TO ROLLING MEADOWS LA TAN AND THEY HAD NO PROBLEM CHARGING MY CARD $ 3.30 AND PUT ME IN THE LEVEL 5! i DONT UNDERSTAND HOW SCHAUMBURG HAS A CARD LIMIT AND OTHER STORES DONT! NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN!

Tanning. Ugh.
First, before anyone starts in on me, I only spray-​tanned, no UV stuff. I already look old as f*ck and I defo don’t need all that wrinkling more ish on my mug.
I know it’s terrible and totally unnecessary but if it makes it any better, like I said, I only came here for the spray-​tanning thing, which is probably still terrible and made of poison or who knows but I was sick for like, 2 months straight and couldn’t shake the pale green look from my skin before a big New Years Eve event I was working, so I came in for a few VersaSpa sessions. I was satisfied enough with the result, but it’s certainly not as accurate as being sprayed by a real person… also, it can have a tendency to make you break out, so weigh out that scenario of whether you’d rather be tan and zit-​y or pale with a better complexion.
This facility seems like it has a ton of regular UV beds, just one VersaSpa, but the line tends to move quickly, unless it’s the eve of a holiday or something — then you might be here waiting for hours. The place is clean enough, but it seems to always be under construction in some way and i don’t trust that the doors actually lock, and that’s scary because I prefer people to not walk in on me naked, wearing a mesh showercap, with white cream on my hands and feet and dripping brown sticky. Again, that’s just my preference, no offense if that is your thing. so far, no one has walked in on me, or at least if they have they were quiet about it.
The staff here are really friendly and helpful and not at all b*tchy like you might image at a tanning place and the prices here are better than the other spray place up the road, which looks a bit nicer but also has crankier employees. Last note: Every single time I’ve ever come here there’s a near-​collision from people pulling out while talking on their phones. Be careful.
Also the guy who manages it has the same voice as Aziz Ansari… which amuses me to no end.

So I tried the Versaspa and got no color from it what so ever. FAIL! I now go to the LA Tan in Bartlett.

I was excited that this location had the Versaspa sunless spray booth. I have used it before at other tanning salons and have never had a problem. At this salon, the solution is obviously diluted or a generic version used. I’ve used it 3x at this LA Tan and 2x I got absolutely NO color and the third minimal color-​all were level 2. I complained but the owner blamed me. I will NEVER go back or recommend this place. The other LATan on Golf is so much cleaner, and I’ve never had a problem there with the Versaspa.

Staff is great and the beds have new bulbs! Always clean and beds available.

This salon is clean, has nice beds with nice bulbs, but they harass you about using lotion every single time you go in. They will not take no for an answer. I used to be an employee at a tanning salon. I know that managers and owners push the employees to talk about lotion to each customer because it’s a money maker, but there is a point you should stop or you’re turning people off. When you tell them you are not interested, they push even more at this location. They then try to play on your emotions and tell you that the people who look old from tanning are the ones who don’t use tanning lotion. That is a bunch of crap, and I don’t appreciate being talked to like I’m an idiot just to make a lotion sale.
I have tried out other tanning salons in the area, and none of them make me feel like I’m walking into a group of vultures waiting to feed. It is a shame because I prefer this location’s beds and bulbs, but their tactics every time I walk in the door turn me off too much. I do not want to have to face a lecture on why I’m foolish for not wearing their tanning lotion each time I go in to tan.

My Mother would turn in her grave, I know, but the pasty white chick thing was just not gonna cut it for my Florida VACA. I get it… vampish is normal here in Chill-​cagoland, but my freckles were even starting to fade.
First, I did my research and found a $ 50 credit coupon on the L.A. Tan website…
Print that off right quick… Check.
Map this baby out on the trusty iPhone… Check.
Prepare to be glared at by sun-​kissed (correction…“sun-drenched with some tongue choking”) young females… Check.
Seriously, a glare alone could have pierced the pigment-​void membrane I had been calling skin all winter…
BUT, I was willing to walk in there and take the ‘heat’ (mostly because otherwise my white ass would be burned to a crisp as soon as I set foot off the plane in the Sunshine State). Let’s pretend tho that I was doing this all for some other more noble cause, k? (wink, wink)
ANYwhooo…I was actually surprised to find that the ladies (while so disturbingly tan that my skin actually hurt for them) here were very professional and nice! They were all concerned about my lack of skin tone and each made sure I was in a lower-​level bed and not going for too much time. They also double check you have the proper safety gear: eye protection and a lotion of some sort (gimmick maybe, but whatever).
In a nutshell: I got in quickly each time. The beds were always clean. The bulbs worked well. AND, there was no annoying up-​selling of products each visit.
PLUS I got 5 separate visits absolutely FREE! That $ 50 coupon certainly paid off.
Oh, and the base tan paid off as well… although, I still technically got burnt, it quickly turned into a tan and has stayed that way!
