Anker’s Fish & Chicken House

This little eatery serves up fried seafood plates, fish frys, country fried chicken, wings, rolls, appetizers, chowders, deli salads, side dishes, and puddings. They offer Boston bluefish, haddock, scrod, catfish, scallops, shrimp, clams, oysters, calamari, smelts, and crab cakes. The prices here are reasonable, most items under $ 11 (except the combo platter). Combo meal deals are offered with fries and a bottle drink, as well as Daily Specials. It’s order at the counter with menu boards and a few seats for dine-​in.
I just had takeout and ordered the Fish & Chips ($ 4.25 plus tax) with sides of tartar and cocktail sauces. The good portion of breaded fried fish were deep fried golden brown in small pieces, dark fish which was Boston bluefish. The fries were fried golden. The food was on the greasy side and decent. Later on, I reheated a small portion of the fish which gave out a really strong fishy odor. I needed to spray some Lysol afterwards. (whiff)
