Bamboo is the best Chinese takeout we’ve had in the area. The food is consistently delicious and our order is always on time. We especially enjoy the sweet and sour chicken. The chicken is in much larger chunks than most places so it doesn’t taste like you are eating just batter. We’re working our way through the menu and haven’t been disappointed yet

Food is decent and the staff are super nice. I had one bad order(lemon chicken batter wasn’t cooked very well) but they took care of it no worries.

These guys are great. I don’t think we’ve ordered Chinese take-out from anywhere else for the past five years or so. Their location is super convenient, their service is friendly, the prices are reasonable, and their food is delicious. I always pick up my order(I don’t think they deliver), and my food is almost always ready in less than 15 minutes. It’s consistently well-packaged, too. I’ve never had any leaks or spills in the car. The menu is quite varied. All dishes are prepared without MSG. I’m a big fan of their Thai red curry chicken, and my wife usually goes for the pineapple fried rice with chicken. I only dock them a star because there’s no delivery service. It’s pretty much take-out only. I mean, you CAN eat your food at the restaurant, at one of the two or three little tables, but I’m not sure why anyone would. There’s more ambience at an Arby’s. If you’re looking for takeout, you can’t really go wrong, though.

Awesome Chinese food, very fast and the owners are super friendly. We were die hards for another Chinese place on western until we tried this guys. Hands down better flavor/prices/people. If we have to get food someplace else we say how this isn’t as good as bamboo the entire time. Try the Gen Tso’s wings extra crispy, not on the menu but UNBELIEVABLE!

I agree! «Very good» are two words to sum up the food served here. Initially I was going to have dinner at Chef’s Takeout, but that place was closed for the holiday. Next door, Bamboo Chinese Restaurant was open, so I decided to order some dinner takeout from here. Located in the long Carman(strip) Plaza, this Chinese takeout restaurant is pretty clean inside which is order at the counter with open kitchen and bright-lighted overhead menu boards and there’s table seating for eating in. The menu offerings include the standard Chinese dishes and chef’s dishes, as well as udon soups and a few Thai dishes(Pad Thai, Tom Yum, Thai Red Curry, Spicy Thai Fried Rice). 25 Chinese Lunch Specials($ 5.85) and All Day Combination Specials($ 7.85) are offered. I ordered the C22 Eggplant Garlic Sauce with Shrimp($ 7.85 plus tax) served with pork fried rice and egg roll. The food was hot and ready in under 10 minutes. However, I was rang up at $ 8.85 plus tax($ 9.56 total) and I thought they raised their prices(they did by 40 cents on the combos). As I was about to head out, the lady at the counter realized the error, profusely apologizing to me, and quickly refunded me $ 1.08, the difference for the correct price of $ 7.85 plus tax($ 8.48 total). The Eggplant dish had very nice blend of flavors with generous amounts of soft Chinese eggplant with a mix of fresh vegetables, carrots, snow peas, mushrooms, & onions and tender jumbo shrimp in a spicy garlic sauce. The pork fried rice(light colored) had peas, carrots, onions, and tender pieces of roast pork in soft rice, nice! The egg roll, though slightly greasy, had a mixture of shredded cabbage & ground pork and crispy skin on the outside. Overall, the food was surprisingly amazing and very tasty, as good as it gets! There was enough leftovers for lunch the next day. Next time I’m in this part of Guilderland, I may have a heck of a time deciding on what to eat at Carman Plaza, pretty good Italian food at Chef’s or great Chinese food from Bamboo. I can stop at both places! For dessert, there’s also the Corner Ice Cream Store, which is a popular ice cream place at the end of the plaza. Getting hungry?
