Do not eat here. When I first started going here I thought it was just alright. I went there maybe every 2 or 3 months to get a quick dinner. The last time we picked up from here both my husband and I got the same thing and both ended up with food poisoning. Do yourself a favor and stay far away. They leave out there chicken and pork. The Health Department we found out found much wrong with this place.

Couldn’t remember why we stopped coming here. Tonight we were reminded. Most of the $ 25.00 worth of food had zero flavor. I must not have seen the no MSG no flavor sign. Don, t bother.

I stopped at Good Friends II for dinner takeout recently.
Located next to Dollar General and Bonfare, this typical strip plaza Chinese takeout restaurant offers the standard Chinese menu with Szechuan, Hunan, and Cantonese dishes, over 170 items on the menu, stating no MSG. 20 Special Combination Platters ($ 6.50-$ 7.20) served with pork fried rice & pork egg roll as well as 8 Lunch Specials #23-#30 ($ 3.75-$ 4.50) served 11AM-​3PM. They also offer free items (spring rolls, crab rangoons, soda) with $ 15, $ 30, and $ 45 purchases. The place is order at the counter with open kitchen and table seating in front of the counter.
I ordered the C12 Roast Pork Lo Mein ($ 6.50 plus tax) Combination which was quickly ready in about 5 minutes. The hot portion of food was generous, the ultimate meal for carbo-​loading. The lo mein noodles were cooked just right (not greasy) with a mix of tender roast pork pieces, carrots, onions, cabbage, & bamboo. The fried rice (light golden color) was pretty basic and had a firm texture with small pieces of roast pork (minimal fat pieces) and onions. The egg roll was not greasy and firm on the outside, stuffed with fresh green cabbage and ground pork (red colored).
Overall, the food was pretty good and the price was right. It was definitely a good time for a brisk jog after dinner.
