This place is usually great, but if you buy fudge at the Latham store, get it from the showcase rather than getting the boxed stuff. Harder than a rock, and the sliver I managed to cut off tasted old. I live in Wilton so I’m not going to bother to drive back to return it, but I’ll be wary the next time.

This place is amazing… great flavors. We were given a box of chocolates as a dinner gift and was truly amazed. We plan on making a trip there soon. Uncle Sam’s …Wow

Absolutely the best butter crunch, and the dark /milk chocolate mix is a terrific Christmas gift. I started giving the 1lb box as a gift to three friends, and one year later, the list if up to 10. Word got out and everyone wants some. Also, last year, squirrels got into UPS pacakge before I got home and Uncle Sam’s sent replacement box at no cost to me. It was not their problem, and yet, they still came through. That is true customer service. One word: YUM!

Good god why didn’t I know about this place earlier? If you buy chocolate from anywhere else you are committing sacrilege. They are open 7 days a week, have been in business 80 years, and make 95% of the chocolate there. Their selections are spectacular too. I was given a sample of their chocolate bark(heavenly) and then bought some of their truffles for my girlfriend. Sooo good.

We hit this place like a kid in a candy store! Milk chocolate is the best anywhere, and the penuche is my weakness. Highly recommend!

I missed this place so much when I left Schenectady — probably the only thing I missed — so imagine my joy when they opened a store in Latham! Simply the best candy out there. Bonus: different flavors of chocolate covered espresso beans!!!

Walk in the front door and be lifted into space by the heavenly smell of chocolate. Smile! This is a FUN place to explore. They are a candy maker(not a chocolate maker) — with lots of boxed chocolates. Also molded dark, milk and white chocolates into things like little cars and stuff, something for just about every occasion or collector. By the pound delights if you want just a nibble or your own combo. The staff are kind, attentive, and friendly. I have it from Cap’n Underpants that the fudge is being made on the premises. The chocolate walnut fudge is/was smooth and delicious. Time for a workout so I can go back for more!!!

Their candies are all fantastic, but I’m writing this review to tell you about their jumbo truffles. They are amazing — the chocolate is so rich and the fillings are all really great. I buy them as gifts for people and they are always impressed. In fact, I’ve been buying them as repeat gifts for certain people who live out of state and don’t have access to them. SOGOOD!

~ homemade chocolate that melts in your mouth ~ its so good, i make my grandpa mail it to me in london. that should give you an idea of how delicious and addictive this shit is. it comes in all sorts of cute molds(cars, animals, letters) but i recommend you buy the biggest, darkest one and eat that fucker in your car. that’s what i do * * except for right now, when i’m munching on their dark chocolate bark in london. hallelujah. i’m so glad it shipped internationally!

It’s awesome, I just can’t give it 5 stars because it didn’t have the carmel bark that I wanted in all the flavors. It does appear that they have a delicious almost butter crunch but that isn’t what I needed. They have a MASSIVE Selection of shaped chocolate, if you want something cute and creative to give as a gift this place is it. It’s all completely reasonably priced. It doesn’t really look like it has as big of a candy counter selection as some of the other candy stores but I didn’t really look. The bulk of the store is made up of shaped chocolate so if you are looking for mass variety this place can’t really give it to you. It’s great non the less.

I love this candy store! It really is a gem in Schenectady! I heard the advertisements for them on the radio around Easter time and I’m glad I decided to stop in after work. Your purchases here will certainly add up, but sometimes you need to pay for high quality. I definitely think it is worth it. Around Easter time, they had TONS of chocolate bunnies and other creations, basically anything you could think of they had! They also had regular candies that you can buy by the pound… really anything you are looking for. Their dark chocolate is absolutely amazing. I was also able to get Easter candy that was sugar free for my diabetic mother. It was nice to be able to give her a bunny along with the rest of the family that she was able to enjoy. She said that it tasted awesome. Be sure to check out this place the next time your sweet tooth is craving something… they have plenty of parking in a private lot for your convenience(which, for someone like me who detests parallel parking, is greatly appreciated).

Almond butter crunch. That’s all you need to say. I don’t know how they make it. I don’t want to know. I don’t know exactly what’s in it. Chocolate, crushed almonds, toffee… I suspect crack as well. It doesn’t matter. You must go there… buy some… and eat it. Pretend it’s good for you… could be; it’s possible… right? Anyway, they make a full range of high-end chocolate confections. And I’ve had quite a few of them. Never a disappointment, though they do take away valuable time when you could be eating almond butter crunch. To tell the truth I like this place a little better than the much larger Krause’s. The staff is friendly… though it’s in a Wonka-esque creepy sort of way. Off-street parking is available.
