These guys are awesome. Extremely professional, all the work is warrantied, and the prices are great. I was going to sell my truck, but after the work you did, it hasn’t ran this well since I first got it.

I love these guys. They are always professional, prices are great and quick service. Their new location is a little hard to find but easy once you know it. I will never go anywhere else and always recommend Joe and his crew. Amazing!!!

Took my Pontiac in to get an exhaust leak fixed and have my check engine light diagnosed. I explained how tight my financial situation is at the moment so I can only do what needed to be serviced right away. They were very helpful and explained exactly what needed to be done, what the cost would be, and broke it down in order of importance. I was able to choose only to fix the exhaust (since I didn’t quite have the funds for the check engine light repairs). They still took the time to explain to me exactly what else was going on with my car, in case I decided to have those things fixed in the future as well. Much better than any other auto service I have been to that try and make you think EVERY little thing must be done right away and you end up with a crazy bill. These guys have very reasonable prices and are always upfront about costs! ¹⁰⁄₁₀ i will be back! My new go-​to auto repair place

Great service from Joe and his entire team! We have a 2005 lifted Dodge Ram and in July, it broke down on us. We towed it to Cutter Dodge in Pearl City and they noted that the engine may need to be replaced. Problem is, they gave us a quote that we simply could not afford. TC Hawaii is a lifesaver as they were able to replace our engine and get our truck to run for an affordable rate. Before ordering the engine, TC Hawaii sent a technician to our home in Waianae to assess the situation. Technician concluded that an engine replacement would be the best course of action so Joe worked up a quote. We were surprised that the quote included the removal of the old engine and the installation of the new one as the dealership quoted us over $ 3000 more. Our replacement engine came with a great warranty and Joe is always available to answer our questions when we reach out to him. When we took the truck in the air was working and when we picked it up it was not. When we mentioned this to him, he fixed it free of charge noting that they didn’t notate whether or not it was working or not when we brought the vehicle in. Absolutely outstanding.
To this day, when we have inquiries regarding our truck, we ask Joe and he is always very helpful. TC Hawaii provides quality services at affordable prices and we highly recommend that you reach out to them if you are experiencing car trouble today.

EXCELLENT service! My car decided to have problems and I initially took it to Goodyear. They quoted me nearly $ 1000 in repairs, and I nearly cried! My landlord passed on Joe’s number and he said he would beat their price and match their warranty! I was thrilled! I slowly made my way to Iroquois Point and Joe’s business partner (I believe his name was Brian? If not, SO SORRY for the name mishap) said that it would take him 30 MINUTES to fix my car. I was SHOCKED. 30 MINUTES? I mean heavenly ham! It takes most technicians FOREVER just to fix something… He told me to sit ON THE BEACH and relax while he worked, and would call when he was done. I mean where can you sit on the beach and get your car fixed???
I was pleased with Brian as well. He told me used to work for Ford Motor Company, was a Master Technician and had well over 20 years of experience working on cars. He showed me my faulty parts, told me what went wrong with the car, generously looked over my entire car, and answered all my questions. He also informed me that he was able to travel to wherever you and your car is to do repairs. UH… WINNING!!! A traveling technician? I SERIOUSLY could not have asked for a better duo to work on my car. I HIGHLY recommend this duo for any of your cars needs.

Well, shame on me for not posting this review ages ago. To put it simply, there are no better mechanics, automobile experts or car service professionals than Tech Center Hawaii. The men that have serviced my car have utterly wowed me every time. I heard about Tech Center Hawaii from a friend after both of my cars had been giving me problems. I did not want to pay dealership prices nor commercial fees for repairs. I reached out to Joe and have since been a loyal customer. Every facet about their work has impressed me and allowed me to recommend their business. Please do not take the reviews about their business lightly. I am a TRUE customer and an advocate of their work. In the past, whenever I received any type of mechanical work performed on my vehicle from previous shops I felt like I was being ripped off somehow. Whether it was Firestone and Goodyear’s labor costs, or some ordinary mechanic’s low quality work, but I can truly say that I have no qualms about Tech Center’s work. I do not feel cheated in any way nor do I hesitate to question their qualifications. I enjoy their genuine compassion, solidarity in work and overall concern for my wellbeing. Essentially, they are EXTREMELY knowledgeable, wonderfully priced, and prompt with their work. If you don’t believe me, do what I did the first time and call around for quotes on specific repairs, then contact Joe and first hear the difference in pricing. After, watch how quickly they resolve your issue and get you back on the road. All in all, Joe and Bruce do one thing and one thing very well… RESTORE YOUR PEACE OF MIND!

Long version explaining why:
I shipped my car (2003 Honda S2000) to Oahu from California about a month ago and all of a sudden it began having a mysterious electrical issue that caused my car to lose power intermittently. During the month my car has been here I took it to two different mechanics who charged me $ 50 each to «fix» the problem. I figured it was something simple as I just recently changed the battery a couple months back so first I took it to the gas station down the street. What the guy did, basically tighten up the terminals a bit, worked okay for a while, but then the mystery problem returned. Thinking I needed a more expert opinion, I then took my car to an ASE certified mechanic. He claimed to have fixed the problem so I thought my car was now back to normal finally. With this assurance that my car was good to go, later that day I drove out to Ewa Beach to visit a friend. I live in Kaimuki. Lo and behold just a few hours later my car has no power again and now I’m stuck on the side of the road in Ewa Beach at 4 PM because my car won’t start.
This is the part of the story where Joe comes in and saves the day. I called him and 10 minutes later there he was. He helped me troubleshoot what the problem might be and then had his technician Bruce look at my car. Bruce figured out the problem the other mechanics missed in less than a minute literally.
Joe indulged all my concerns and thoroughly explained everything clearly and concisely. No BS. He even contacted me later that night to make sure I got home safe and that the problem did not reoccur. Who even does that?!
It was a blessing in disguise that my car broke down in Ewa Beach because now I have an amazing mechanic that I trust.

I recently did a project with Joe on my 2005 VW Passat TDI… We did the 80,000 mile check which included the timing belt and water pump change. A huge job… He was fast and his service was excellent. I am always pleased with his service. Thanks Joe.

Joe is a life saver! One of my belts (maybe water or timing belt…) in my engine snapped while I was driving to work. Lucky, I was only a block away from work and was able to make it to my work parking lot. At that moment I had two choices, 1) pay a tow truck to tow my car to the nearest auto repair (~$ 100 if I am lucky) plus the cost to replace the belt $ 150; or 2) found Joe on Unilocal who came to my work parking lot (FREE) and replaced the belt for $ 125.
At first due to the limited tools and some complication, the belt was a little loose, which caused my car to squeak when I made a sharp turn. I informed Joe of the problem and he graciously came down to my work parking the next day to fix the problem. He even had the courtesy to call me back a few days later to make sure everything is working fine. Will definitely call Joe the next time I have an auto problem.
