I have only shopped here once and spent $ 200, only to find out I was overcharged for an item and had emailed the owner and had no response. I feel that the prices are high and a lot of these beads you could buy for a lot less at the Gem Show in Marlborough. Also, I didn’t feel that the shop owner was very engaging while browsing in her store. Very disappointing.

A stupendous selection, helpful staff, and a generous owner. I came in looking for beads for a knitting project, but miscalculated how many I’d need, so I’ll have to go back, and I’m actually looking forward to it. I might even get some I don’t need just for the heck of it.

I really really like this store. It is so worth the drive(I come from Boston) because they have so, so much. Semi-precious, all the glass types(Czech, Murano, Chinese, pressed), pewter, silver, base metal, Swarovski crystals and pearls, stringing material, components, findings. Ev-er-y-thing. The staff is helpful, too. I had a nice conversation today with the owner about why it’s hard to find peridot quartz nuggets, and he was honest and forthcoming(basically, it’s what gets dug out of the ground). AND, a number of the items have been marked down, in addition to the clearance section, and the store has recently added clearance bins(mostly under the pewter beads and charms table). This alone makes it really worth the drive now! Scituate harbor has lots of places to eat, and other places to shop at, which makes it nice to come down.

I was a little skeptical when I saw the other reviews for Beaucoup Beads. A 4⁄5 star worthy bead shop on the lovely salty and idyllic town of Scituate? Well from the moment I walked in the door, once I had found the place(Chiropractic building) and the door(!)(through a small lobby) it was like, well, being in my place except with displays, LOL! The name does say it all! I was even a bit overwhelmed and managed to find some beads I simply had to have and some to augment my dwindling supplies. I would never have expected to find such a treasure trove and beading delights in Scituate but now that I have seen the light…

This is the best bead shop I’ve ever been to! I love it here– there is so much variety and the staff is friendly and willing to help. They can be a bit pricey– but if you sign up for their mailing list they are constantly updating with sales and coupons. Any avid beader or beginner should definitely check it out!

This is my local bead shop, and so far, it is the best one I’ve been to in this state. They have almost every type of bead under the sun, but I love them because they carry a large selection of seed beads, as well as unique artist-made jewelry. The staff is also very friendly and they love to help you find the right beading supplies. I stop in every time I start a new project! :D
