Might be the worst«restaurant» I’ve even been to. $ 1 oysters drew us in, but we were immediately greeted with a strong smell of urine and regret. It also seems to serve a clientele exclusively age 75+. I’m glad they like it, but it’s not for me.

Poped in here with my wife today for lunch. Mediocre at best. Old, plain, no frills. Boring menu. A little expensive for what you get. My wife ordered the Chicken Pam. It came with way too much parsley. I ordered theTurkey, and it was just ok. Not memorable. We wouldn’t go back.

We visited on a Friday night at about 7 pm or so. The restaurant was very quiet and we were seated right away. I ordered a martini. It was a bit too sweet. For an appetizer, we ordered the clams casino. It was $ 9.95 for 5 of the smallest clams I’ve ever seen. Each one was topped with one teensy tiny piece of bacon; there was probably one half strip of bacon used amongst 5 clams. The flavor was decent but not worth $ 9.95. For dinner, my BF ordered the king cut prime rib. There was no mashed potatoes on the menu so he got a baked potato. While the prime rib looked a bit small for a king cut, he was very pleased with the quality and flavor. I ordered the special haddock prepared with coconut flavors. It was accompanied by Delmonico potatoes and asparagus. I enjoyed everything. The haddock was cooked to perfection, the potatoes were creamy and cheesy and the asparagus with steamed just right. For dessert, I ordered an espresso martini and my BF ordered the brownie sundae. The brownie was warm and gooey and rich and the vanilla ice read and chocolate ganache were excellent. Our waitress was a bit lackadaisical. She almost cleared our clams casino plate and there was one still on there uneaten(see, that’s how small they were!) She forgot things, took her time clearing plates, putting in our order, etc. We think she was too busy chatting with the locals. This place definitely caters to the elderly population of the area. Overall — the restaurant is way too over priced for the location, ambience, etc. The décor is outdated, the service is mediocre, and the portions are small. I will also add that after 2 martinis, I didn’t feel a thing. Normally, being as small as I am, 2 martinis would give me a pretty good glow. Nothin. This place has a lot of as yet unrealized potential. We probably will not be back. There are so many other FARSUPERIOR restaurants at this price point.

We have gone to PJ’s Country House for the last 20 years of so. I always look forward to a fantastic meal there, that is till tonight. It was our anniversary and usually they used to start with cheese and crackers. I had to ask for some and the waitress said, they don’t do that anymore, but I could have some bread with olive oil. The olive oil was old and smelt like dirty feet. We should have left then. Next we ordered the crab cake appetizer to start. We have gotten it several times and loved it. Well this time it was the size of a quarter and not cooked enough, it was wicked mushy. They used to be a lot bigger and tastier and cooked. Next we ordered our entrée’s, we both got Veal Oscar. I have seriously gotten the Veal Oscar there ten times or so. The veal Oscar was burned, the lobster so over cooked and the Delmonico potatoes that came with it were hard and needed to have been cooked longer. We mentioned it to the waitress, she was like well you can get something else. My husband said, he didn’t want to wait he was hungry. So they did try to fix that, but why not just do it right the first time. So we left half our meal and the waitress said we can each have a dessert on the house. Well, we ordered one to split, because they used to have huge desserts, the homemade key lime pie was homemade alright, but in whose home? It was so small, I just let my husband have it. The bill came to 110.00 dollars and I tipped the waitress 33.00 dollars because it wasn’t her fault the cook screwed things up. So $ 143.00 dollars later, I feel like we need to go somewhere else to re-celebrate our anniversary. My favorite restaurant, has just become my least favorite restaurant. Not to mention the old smelly bathrooms. I won’t be going back, we have celebrated all 27 of our wedding anniversary’s there. I am very disappointed in PJ’s and how it has gone down hill.

Stood at the door for 7 minutes and a server and manager refused to greet us. We were basically ignored until we felt so uncomfortable we had to leave. I went back in to speak to the manager who still, did not try to make things right by us. It was very unprofessional and we were treated in a very demeaning manner. I can’t fully rate the restaurant as I did not get to taste the food or get served, but due to the way we were treated I will not be returning or recommending this restaurant to anyone. I have never been so disappointed with a restaurant as I am with PJ’s. They do not know the meaning of customer service.

Food was very good but rather expensive. Had the lamb chops, delish, Sarah had veal Oscar. Very good but it was fried rather than sautéed. Avoid popover at all costs. Burnt taste and very little substance and flavor. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. If you’re 70 and can’t taste or chew anything this is your spot. Definitely needs a facelift/new owner. Just to be clear, I don’t regret trying PJs Country House. Life is an adventure. I’ll try anything once, maybe twice if I want more good chops!

Well I had to go back to this place. The people I know had a party here and they have no issue with the horrible stench and horrible food. Again the odor is a shock to the system. It smells like urine. My son asked his cousin if they had cats in the restaurant because it smells like cat pee. I drank before I went to prepare and drank quite a bit when I got there. Drinking makes it easier to be there. I got the bruschetta as an appetizer. It was good, but I was drunk. It definitely is not what you would expect and it was way too big. I had the chicken francaise. Not good. My wife had scallops and said they were inedible. So overall this place is just like the last time I HAD to go here. Terrible and smelly. If someone tells me that they are having an event here and I have to go I am going to pull a Copperfield and disappear to never be seen again. Oh, I do want to mention that the service was pretty good.

Not enough to get me to come back. Service was bad, that’s alright because I shaved off the tip– problem solved. Seems very clean and place def caters to the older crowds. Very quiet. Best calamari we’ve ever had! I got the recommended«Haddie». It turned out to be an oval dish of cream and bacon– Where’s the fish? Was is puréed? Fairly expensive. Maybe the steak options are better? I should’ve sent mine back but was too hungry to fuss over it. Manager/owner needs to reevaluate.

Decent service and mediocre food at best. However, I was really disappointed in the treatment by management. After printing out a 10% off discount from the restaurant website and forgetting it, the management refused to honor the coupon despite showing the coupon on a phone. This was perplexing based on the fact that there was nothing special about this coupon(no barcode or anything just printed text). Not only is this very behind the times but more importantly it is discriminatory against people with no convenient access to a printer. I could have easily written out a coupon saying 10% off or they could have easily printed one out for me but no that was asking too much. We will not be returning here and I would not recommend this establishment if you want to be treated like a valued patron. Very disappointing.

Not for me. But could be great for you. Had dinner on an early Wednesday night w/my six year-old Daughter. Average temperature inside was 75 degrees; service was polite and prompt; food was average; restaurant and pub both have some choice seats. Perfect place to bring a grandparent or a bridge club. Very warm, very polite. Food won’t dazzle, but it’s fine. They really are quite nice there.

Nice menu — not too many options and a good selection of seafood. Nice for families.

Nice looking building from the outside, but the inside is outdated(probably to give it more of a country feel) and has a strange odor. Despite all of the cars in the parking lot, the food is mediocre at best, and the bar chairs are uncomfortable. I’ve tried to go back, but it is only as a goof… I can’t figure out what the draw is, with all of the other excellent restraunts in the area.
