A must try is the wings! My favorite are the garlic buffalo, but I’ve tried almost all of them and they are equally amazing. The burgers are messy and juicy and delicious. The fish tacos were flavorful. The fries are great. The only thing I’ve tried that I didn’t care for were the fried pickles, they seemed as though they were cooked too long. The drafts are always good and they had, by far, the best hard cider I’ve tried. They change them out frequently so you can try a lot of different types of beers. The service has always been great too! Everyone is polite and nice. If there is a wait, which has only happened to us once, it’s quick; it’s the perfect time to try a drink.

A lot of beers to choose from. I had an oatmeal stout which was really good. I also ordered the burger with bacon IN it with fries. I ate it in probably 5 minutes(I was starving, but it was also really good). I did ask for it medium rare and it was more towards medium well. I like my burgers mooing(and bloody). It is a local place and it is smaller, but that’s why I enjoy going here.

Great beers, good service, and good food. Burger special on Wednesday seemed really popular– will go back and try that. Green Flash IPA was great.

Good burgers and craft beer selection. I’m a big fan of their liberal use of bacon. Waffle bacon cheddar fries were a great starter but as soon as they came out we knew we ordered too much food. The place doesn’t look that good from the outside but is worth looking past that fact. Well be back next time we’re in Scotia.

This is a nice place under new management. There is a nice array of beers. The food was surprisingly good. I had a burger which was pretty good, but the fried green beans were something special. They came with a dipping sauce that was a touch spicy but very tasty. I really recommend them. The service was friendly and appropriately attentive. I will be back.

I’ve been here a couple of times, so this is a moldy review… It’s a tavern. Don’t expect to be gushed over when you walk through the door. Find spot and sit down unless it’s Saturday night and the place is jam packed, then you might have to wait to be seated. The burgers are excellent, the fries are excellent. the beer selection is better than many competitors, the bartenders actually know what they’re talking about as far as beer goes and the owner seems to care about his business. A great place to watch a game. We were asked if there was a specific game we wanted to see. One night I was in there after ice fishing and we had a bunch of burgers on the table… a few of which were over cooked. I mentioned it to our server and he immediately asked to recook(but that’s a pain for those at the table whose burgers are right and have to wait, so I said, «no». He came back with, «want a free desert?» I asked for a secret top shelf beer from Vermont and was very happy with the answer.(As opposed to the beer… there’s many better IPAs!) Anytime you ask me I’ll go here. Even if you don’t ask me I’ll go here!

A local hangout. The beer selection was respectable. Football specials. Make your own flights which was good at 4.00 a clip. We had the fried pickles for the appetizers. I had the 50⁄50 burger. Beef and bacon. Ordered it rare got it well done. Wasn’t happy with it. Came with French Fries. My husband had the pastrami burger also ordered rare and got it well. This burger I liked anyway. The pastrami was good! For desert we had the pecan pie. Disappointed in the pie. Not what I expected. Will go back to try it again. Maybe the cook was having a off day.

I’ve wanted to check this place out for a while as I’d heard good things about the food. So as it was national burger day I decided to call in a pick up order for my lunch break at work. I ordered the burger that was topped and stuffed with bbq sauce, gouda and bacon. I noticed another burger on the menu that was topped with cole slaw, swiss and pastrami that came on a pretzel bun. So I asked if I could get the one I ordered on a pretzel bun, they told me no problem. I pick up my food and head back to work all ready to eat and enjoy this amazing burger. I open it up and find a burger topped with gouda, pastrami and ketchup. I didn’t have the time to take it back as I have limited time on my break. After eating in while crying on the inside in disappointment I also discovered it was not stuffed either. Sad that asking for that one small change of a pretzel bun confused whoever prepared it so much that it didn’t match anything on their menu or my order. I also ordered it well done and it was very pink inside. Just a very disappointing experience.

Good beer, not great food except for the fried green beans. When they tell you the beer will come as a smaller serving it is still 16oz.

Liv and I stopped by after going to Goldstocks. Place is nice and quaint. Huge beer selection. We sat down and the staff was placing our drink order within 5minutes. We ordered the fried green beans. Within 5 minutes we had drinks and appetizer on the table. Impressive! Liv loved the fried green beans. Our waiter, Jason was really nice and attentive consistently. Liv orders the burger with sweet potato fries. She loved all of it! Huge burger that we had to take half of it home. I got the pear walnut salad with grilled chicken. Super good and a huge portion that I couldn’t finish either. Liv wants to come back tonight although it’s a good drive from Troy. Great job here and nice place. We will be back, I will be back with co-workers for a beer night. Got to try more beer.

Wings were hot outside but ice cold in the middle, I would’ve sent them back if our waitress ever came back to check on us. The rest of the food was ok, nothing special. The beer selection was decent, but not too exciting.

Visited the Taproom multiple times over a month long period while in the area for work. The staff are super friendly and accommodating and the food is delicious and massive portions for a low price. Never got the chance to sample the extensive beers on tap unfortunately but the atmosphere is awesome and I definitely recommend coming here!

This place just keeps getting better and better. The menu has grown and I’ve loved every sandwich I’ve tried so far. Anything with the Carolina Gold sauce is good, as that stuff is called gold for a reason. And fried green beans and fried pickles make perfect bar food. Also, Strongbow on tap, which is über important to me, a cider drinker when out on weekdays especially. The staff is really kind and genuinely friendly, as in — acting in ways which one would qualify as that of a friend — and I am so thankful this spot is in the neighborhood. If you haven’t tried it yet, get to it. Check in with their social media — Facebook is the most often used, but other accounts are in use, too. They seem to host lots of fun promo events and parties(ugly Christmas sweater party in December, for example.) I’m hoping they add a trivia night soon! I’d love to add them to our weekly office trivia team rotation.

Frozen Food? Atmosphere/Décor *** Located on a downtown corner with a small but inviting front porch. It is small inside and pretty dated looking but has a comfortable feel to it. Defiantly a local crowd. Service ***** Truly outstanding! Very warm and friendly. Everyone seemed very happy that worked there. Food ** This is where it gets a little weird. I ordered the Wings and a few of them were ice cold in the middle but fully cooked which led me to believe they are possibly pre cooked and frozen or come in that way. The Ranch burger topped with fried pickles was fantastic but when I asked for a side of regular pickles for my son I was told they do not have pickles. I mentioned that there are pickles on my burger and I was told that those pickles come in that way frozen! The fries which they do make in house they probably shouldn’t as they were limp and unseasoned. Value **** $ 32 for two beers, wings, burger and a kids hot dog. I could live with that. Overall *** Pretty good and am inclined to go higher but the odd frozen food situation has me hesitant.

I can’t say enough good things about the Mohawk Taproom. They have really done a nice job providing an excellent menu, and having quality beers on tap. We went in on a Sunday evening, and the place was about half full. I like the chalkboards they have around the restaurant, listing the different beers currently being featured on tap. There is a good balance of better known craft beers, mixed with some unique ones too. For an appetizer, we split an order of nachos with a special sauce(I can’t remember the specific name), and they were quite delicious. For a meal, we ordered a burger and mussels. The burger was hands down one of the best I have ever had, and the fries were fresh too. I only had a few of the mussels, but I will be sure to get an order for myself next time. The owner, Mike, came out and talked to us for a bit to see how we liked everything. He said that if we ever have any requests or recommendations for something we’d like to see on-tap, to let him know and he would be happy to feature it. He also said that as long as their are people in the bar/restaurant, he will stay open later. This is nice as the previous establishment always closed very early. Overall this was a great experience. This is a great addition to Scotia with well-price, delicious food. We’ll be back frequently.

A strong start. Food was good but not outstanding, but the service was truly excellent. I will definitely be back for a second go. Prices are a little high given the venue, which is why I’m a little more critical. If you’re going to charge me $ 15 for fish tacos, I better love ‘em and I didn’t. Plus, the corn black bean side was just meh.

Went here for lunch yesterday. The beer selection is great; mine was nice and cold. The fried pickles were good; had a nice kick to them. They were served with ranch but a horseradish sauce is also available. We weren’t offered a choice but I’d like to try that next time. I ordered the turkey burger. The flavor was great, but the burger texture was mushy and soft. It was odd, but I’d still order it again because of the flavor. My fiancé ordered the 50⁄50 burger. You could really taste the bacon. It was definitely on the smaller side for being the most expensive burger on the menu. The inside décor is severely lacking. The tables and chairs are very outdated. We sat outside on the patio which was nice. We look forward to coming back.

Finally Scotia has a great bar with great beer! I am a huge fan of this place. There is no place even close to this place serving a vast variety of craft beers. The owners Mike and Steph both are great people. Big country, the cook is holding it down in the kitchen, can’t wait to try his ribs with home made bbq sauce. I will definately be a regular here. Go check it out!
