We see Dr Joel Hahnke for 4 years now since my son became a T1 diabetic. Dr Hahnke is amazing! Over the years he answers emails at 5am works tirelessly to make sure everything is dialed in, and you deal directly with him which is unheard of! We LOVE Dr Hahnke and can not say enough about him…

I took my daughter to see Dr. Perelman at the suggestion of my pediatrician to check for normal growth. We had a pleasant visit with Dr. Perelman until a blood panel was taken. My daughter was obviously scared and upset that she had to have her blood taken. Instead of checking to see if she was ok before we left the building, they sent us on our way. We went down the elevator and she fainted as we exited. She fell into the wall and hit her head and eye. There was blood everywhere and we were both screaming and crying in the lobby of the building. A nearby office called the fire department and went to get Dr. Perelman. At the suggestion of the fire department and Dr. Perelman we went to the emergency room. She ended up needing 3 stitches and her eye swelled shut for several days. She missed school and was in a lot of pain, not to mention we were both traumatized. I called Dr. Perelman 2 days later and I got an icy reception when he spoke to me. I needed some additional information on growth therapies and I asked for his office to pay for our hospital bills since they were negligent(I believe) in letting her leave the office so quickly after a nerve racking blood panel. Most doctor offices make you stay until you’re ok or offer you some juice or a cookie. Dr. Perelman started shouting at me on the phone and asked if he should get an attorney. I never raised my voice, I never threatened him, I was asking because that day has now cost my family almost $ 1,000! I might have even been ok if he offered to pay a portion of our bills or comped our office visit or something. Instead I got a crazy screaming person that I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to see.
