I just had my first session with Maureen this week. I initially planned on asking some questions and scheduling an appointment for the next week but she was gracious enough to fit me into her schedule that day. Maureen was so thorough and knowledgeable and really makes you feel at ease with the whole process. She walked me through everything we would be doing and explained the procedure in a very relatable way. Maureen also gave me some aloe for aftercare to take with me and use until I could get my own. She also lets you know where you can get everything you need to take care of your tattoo afterward, which was very helpful. I would highly recommend Clean Slate to anyone considering having a tattoo removed. Thanks again to Maureen!

I finished my first session today with Maureen at Clean Slate, and I plan to keep you updated on the progress of my tattoo removal throughout the weeks. This review is somewhat lengthy, but I know in my search for tattoo removal, I appreciated details. I have a small, all-black ink tattoo on the inside of my right wrist. It is the name of my significant other that I got on a drunken night on the town four years ago. Fortunately we are still together and very happy, but the location wasn’t ideal considering my re-entry into the professional workforce. I decided I’d like it removed at the first opportunity, but my primary deterrent was cost. I don’t have thousands of dollars to blow on laser removal. That’s when I found Clean Slate on a Google search. I took note that many of the reviews mentioned the insanely cheap prices they got from a Groupon special, up to 3 sessions for less than $ 100. That is simply unheard of in this industry. I bit, and before I purchased my Groupon, I called the company number and Maureen immediately picked up. I explained that I wanted to purchase the Groupon but wanted to request a(very) vague estimate on the number of sessions I’d need… I wanted to be locked into the cheap Groupon price. Maureen(a lovely, sweet, and totally non-judgemental woman) explained that Groupon takes half or more of the money I pay for the sessions, and that she would honor the price if I purchased directly through her. Of course I’d prefer Maureen to have the money and keep my expenditures in the hands of fellow locals. So I booked an appointment and watched all the YouTubes and read all the articles I could. As far as my appointment went, I couldn’t rave more. Maureen explained what I should expect in terms of pain, and went in detail on aftercare instructions before she even started the laser. She also took a photo of my tattoo as it currently is, and let me browse countless other cases of hers and the progression. I was feeling very reassured by her professionalism and skill. Maureen told me she’d do a test… what do I call it… laser blast? She did one blast on my tattoo, and I told her it wasn’t too bad. With my okay she continued to laser the remainder of my tattoo. I didn’t use any numbing cream, and that shiv frakking HURT, but she was done lasering my tattoo in under 10 seconds… quite amazing actually. The pain was most intense directly after the treatment. It felt like the laser had penetrated my entire wrist and was burning through and through, then Maureen put an ice pack on it and the pain started to subside immediately. My tattoo area is swollen as balls as I type this, and I’m definitely experiencing some under-the-skin bleeding, though I’m sure the location and thinness of my skin(inside of my wrist) has a lot to do with that. I hear removals that are on more fatty/muscle-y areas are much less painful. In conclusion, Maureen is the best and will take her time to answer all of your questions and ensures your level of comfort before and during treatment. I called her on one of her«off» days, and she answered immediately and got me scheduled. She exceeded my expectations of customer service and personability. My advice is, if you want to get your tattoo removed, this is the place for the price and the experience. And if you’re a pussy to pain, yes it hurts like hell during and directly after, but that will encompass less than two minutes of your life, and then you’re on your way to tattoo removal. I can’t recommend Maureen enough, and implore you to call her before you buy anything on Groupon, as she will honor those prices. I will update this after my next treatment!

I have had my third treatment done, and I can honestly say it been fairly painful however tolerable in regards to where my tattoo is located My pain threshold is more on the lower side but I couldn’t think of a better place to go. Maureen has been such a pleasure to work with and she makes your feel very comfortable during each treatment. It is a very professional and clean environment and I am very happy with the progression in which my tattoo has faded significantly. I highly recommend this business as a source for your tattoo removal needs.

I’m writing this follow-up review for customer service. At the start of my tattoo removal venture I purchased two groupon-priced packages from Paul, the owner. Each one was for 3 treatments. Now, tattoo removal hurts, but what I didn’t realize was with each successive treatment, the machine has to be turned up to be effective at removal, and that comes with more pain. Personally, I didn’t feel the numbing cream was very effective. By the third treatment I could barely make it through the session, and I’m someone who can sit for hours in the tattoo chair getting one put on. I told Maureen, the laser tech that I wouldn’t be coming back to complete my package as I just couldn’t tolerate the pain. She was so sweet and understanding and offered to mention it to Paul. We spoke on the phone and through email and he was very professional and accommodating to issue me a refund on the remaining treatments I hadn’t used. Fantastic customer service, and for this reason they still get 5 stars from me.

I purchased tattoo removal through Gruopon and I wish I would have gone for more treatments(only got three) but I wasn’t sure how the place was and how many treatments was needed. The place is really clean, friendly and the technician Maureen Raher is great! She numbed the ankle where my regretful tattoo is before beginning the laser, and send you home with some aloe vera and instructions. The treatment itself feels kind of like being snapped with a rubber band but it’s very tolerable. Very nice place, highly recommend!

I got a tattoo 2 months ago that I immediately hated because of the location on my wrist. I was so happy to find a group on for 3 sessions For $ 89! The office was professional and Maureen was friendly and explained everything! For me, it was very minimally painful. It is hot and it kind of feels like a quick shock! She’ll let you take as many breaks as you need as you stop to ice it. I got through it and scheduled another session in four weeks. She says it might take 5 sessions… I’ll keep you updated! But, if you need a tattoo removal, this is where to go!
