Simply the best haircut I have ever had… end of story!!!

I have always had commitment issues when it comes to changing my style. However, I see Jackie at this location and have always been extremely happy with what she does to change up my color. Always exceeds my expectations and listens to my ideas. She is so friendly and easy to talk to as well. Great vibe throughout the salon. Definitely reccomend!

Very good experience. Just moved to the area. Tried another salon and was not happy with the atmosphere. Tried David Frank and both the atmosphere and people were very nice. Did color and just a slight trim on one side as cut from other place was to short to really do a cut, even after 5 weeks. They only charged me for the color and styling, which turned out really well. Going back this week for a color touch up and finally a new cut. Excited!

I have been going to David Frank Salon for a couple years now. My stylist, Hayley, is always ready to give me her opinion when I want a change so I never feel afraid to try new styles. My colorist Aaron has gone above and beyond to give me the purple hair I wanted for Christmas. When my hair didn’t take the color as expected, Aaron got me back in his chair and made adjustments to give me a beautiful color that I love. I can’t recommend Hayley and Aaron enough. If you want to try something new or if you just want a professional, committed, excellent stylist and/​or colorist, give Hayley or Aaron a call!

Desperately needing a haircut and new style to my long hair — I found the David Frank salon on Unilocal!Frank cut and styled my hair and it’s one of the best cuts, if not, the best cut I’ve ever had! I immediately trusted Frank and let him cut off a few inches (& I wasn’t even nervous). He knows what he’s doing and I knew I was in good hands! Have already received compliments even after restyling my hair after a gym session without shampooing! I’m going in to see David for color and even though I have to wait a month — I know it will be worth it! Thanks so much Frank!

I started going to David Frank two years ago. The owners personally did my hair for the first few visits and it was great, but later I found that I could never schedule to see David again for color. For the past year they have relegated the color work to someone who consistently colors too dark. While I can get a cut by Frank, I can only get color by Aaron or wait for a MONTH to be seen by David. Come on. A MONTH? Might as well say that you do not want to color my hair. David seems to be reserved for new customers only. Sadly, I guess I won’t be back.

I am so happy to have found David & Frank Salon! I am very low maintenance when it comes to highlighting my hair and absolutely love how my highlights grow out so naturally when David colors my hair. David manages to give me full body highlights that grow out naturally with unnoticeable roots! I get compliments on my hair color even after the highlights have grown out! I also love how Frank cuts my hair. He is honest about how much I should cut off to make it look it’s best and he is always right! My hair is healthier and better looking than it has ever been. I get lots of compliments and always feel amazing leaving the salon! Thanks to David and Frank! They come highly recommended by me!

I just got my hair colored and cut yesterday, and I am absolutely THRILLED with the outcome!
My hair was super brassy and damaged from a previous dye job, but David’s consult made me feel at ease about the corrections needed. We went with some darker balayage and toned the entire section of hair down to a much cooler color. Frank then gave me a fantastic cut and style, and when I saw the end result I thought I had someone else’s hair on my head or something! My hair is so much healthier and looks natural, shiny, and voluminous.
The staff were also very caring and attentive. My shampoo was relaxing and they offered a variety of drinks or magazines as well. It is a clean, calming, and professional establishment and David and Frank are both such wonderful people to talk to! Overall, I had a very pleasant experience with every person in the salon and am happy I found such a great new place. Thank you all!

Yesterday I was a first time visitor to David Frank Salon. First and foremost, David and Frank did an excellent job of my color and cut. I have shorter hair with a dimensional looking foil. Not many salons in Scottsdale offer color and hair stylists who specialize in one or the other. In top salons across the county this is the norm. It ensures you get the very best — thank you David Frank Salon for following this model. Also, the salon provides a quiet, hassle-​free environment. After the services I received I will definitely go back.

Fantastic service at a great price!
I’m in town from Chicago and wanted a color touch up and blow out /​style.
After a consult with David, Aaron took great care of me with the color application, then a wonderfully relaxing shampoo and condition.
Hailey then did my blow dry style and it was EXACTLY what I wanted! My color was perfect and my hair was smooth with nice volume and a beautiful curl.
If I extend my stay longer, I will absolutely be going back to David Frank Salon in Scottsdale!

This place is amazing! My co-​worker gets her hair done here and her color and cut always look fabulous. I came here based on her recommendation and I was not disappointed. It is very pricey, but it’s your hair, do you really want to pay a discounted price for great hair color and cut?

What a pleasant experience! I am highly satisfied, not only with the cut Frank gave me — which is exactly what I asked for — but with the entire experience.
This salon pays attention to all the details of the experience and executes well. For example, it is incredibly easy to make an appointment in any number of ways: over the phone, online or as you check out.
Also, my shampoo — which is everyone’s favorite part of the salon experience — was the best I’ve ever had!
Finally, Frank himself — aside from being a great stylist — was warm, friendly, and very easy to talk to.
I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the experience and plan to return for my next haircut.

Nothing but good reviews for this salon! I came in for a free consultation with David for balayage on my black hair, previously tinted not too long ago. I couldn’t get the color I wanted due to it being impossible but I appreciated his honest and expert recommendations. I came back the very next day (yesterday) for my services (color, cut and blow dry) and I love the result! David did a wonderful job painting on my highlights, was very nice and offered suggestions on colors. My lightened areas are very natural looking and the placement is beautiful (which is hard to do with black hair.) I saw Haley for my cut and blow dry, and she was very sweet and offered advice for getting body into my heavy hair. All of the staff is professional and not snobby at all. They are all obviously very good at what they do. The décor is modern and relaxing. They offer you coffee or ice water and came to check on me often while I was processing. It’s a great experience I would recommend to anyone and I can’t wait to go back and try another shade on my hair!

Take these ‘FIVE STARS’ and multiply them by a gazillion. David and Frank are the best stylists I have found in my DECADES of having my hair colored and cut (including in NYC & L. A). I wish I could say something different from all the other 5-​star reviews, but I can only emphasize the fact they are truly masters of their crafts, and beyond. Their support team is always courteous and professional, the salon is a serene and calm place of beauty and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. I have been availing myself of their services for about 9 month now and enjoy it more each month.

This salon is by far the best I’ve ever been to… And I have been to a lot of salons. I’ve never walked away so consistently happy with my cut and color, time and time again. David is a color genius, he’s taken me from brunette to blonde flawlessly & was able to fix another salon’s brassy color job. Haley does an awesome job on my cut every time. I’ve never been happier with a salon, you will not regret coming here!

I wanted to do something different with my hair and decided on balayage. I googled local places and then looked on Unilocal for good places. Happened upon David Frank Salon and so glad I did. Booked my appointment and met with David for color and Haley for my haircut.
David did an amazing job on my hair! He took the time to talk with my about my desires for hair and discussed expectations. The color came out amazing and looks wonderful. Haley did a great job on my haircut and took the time to style it.
I walked out feeling amazing! Everyone is really nice, too.

The reviews are true. I left LOVING my hair!
First of all, let me say I rarely go to a new hairdresser. like every girl, it’s a scary thought as visions of bad haircuts, colors, etc run through your brain. BUT, I found myself in Scottsdale for the weekend and desperately needed to get my hair colored! I had postponed and put it off for months because I didn’t have time to drive to my stylist in LA (I live in San Diego so it’s a 2 –3 hour drive). well I decided to take a chance and looked at reviews before choosing David. And thank God I did. my hair looks amazing and I’m VERY particular. I live in CA so I’m used to seeing a million «bad blondes» but yet I like my hair lighter so it only works well when I’m in the hands of any amazing colorist. My favorite look is that ombré Gisele/​Jennifer Aniston golden blonde where it’s darker at the roots and sun kissed on the way down and let me say, David delivered!
My only complaint is that he’s not in San Diego because I would without question, go back to him!
Rest assured ladies, this is a stylist you can trust and you will leave the salon looking fabulous!

I had a lot going on with my hair. Sort of a botched ombré, a multi color root situation and I didn’t want a ton of extra processes to fix bc my hair is long and I reallllly want to keep it that way.
I came here based on Unilocal reviews. Oh my oh my. I explained my problem, David took time to assess and communicate w me and he came up w a plan.
I’m very very happy with the results. I have seen 4 stylist, colorists over 1 year and I will not be looking any further. David is my guy. Forever. I may stalk him if he ever decides to retire.
Walking out, my hair felt healthy, the color was perfect and I felt the charge was more than reasonable.
Very thankful to Unilocalers for the guidance, so I felt I should add my experience to the community. One more 5 star review for this place. I’m a believer for sure.
