I will have to say this Barbershop has great customer service and does a great job at cutting hair. I my self am a black male and just moved here from St. Louis and I went to 6 different barbershops prior to visiting GOLD SCISSORS. I could not find a Barbershop in the Scottsdale area that could line my hair up properly till I checked out Gold Scissors and sat in Moses’s chair. This man can cut anyone’s hair to perfection. If you aren’t pleased with your haircut I will be shocked. I back up these guys 100%. The quality haircut and customer service that you receive will keep you coming back.

Just moved to the Scottsdale area looking for a barber to get a fresh cut; went here on a whim after several days of debating which barber shop in the area to go with. Being skeptic of places that have few reviews I opted to try Gold Scissors.
I was greeted by Albert who sat me down in his chair and asked, «what are we doing today?“I replied with what I normally like to have and off we were. FYI I do a 1.5 on the sides with a faded blend and leave the top a bit longer, high and tight if you will.
Albert was meticulous in the way he cut, but was still able to hold a friendly conversation. I was pleased at how the sides were cut and how the blend toward the top of my hair went. after a little snip to even the top out, Albert gave a quick straight razor to the sideburns and back of the neck. I even got a nice hot towel and 30sec massage around the shoulders.
All in all, a good place to get a quick and easy trim. I would definitely go back.

Got a haircut from a tiny old lady who couldn’t see the top of my head. She didn’t speak English very well. I wasn’t greeted walking in and I ended up going to another barber to get my hair fixed. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this barbershop.

Easy relaxing atmosphere. TV’s with cable so you can watch your sports if you wish or just relax. Family run business with great service. Comfortable old style barber chairs and a hot towel and massage to send you on your way. Reasonably priced with an option for a hot razor shave as well. Saving up my Belly points for the shave!

I went to the same barber for nearly 20 years and when he retired, I spent months trying to find a decent barber in my area. One day by chance I stopped in and I have to say I was very impressed! Great family owned shop with excellent service and even better cuts. Don’t go anywhere else!

OR…you can get a $ 20 haircut at a classy joint like Gold Scissors!
Good people who know how to cut hair and are communicative work here. They’ll make sure you leave the building a better man. You also have the option of watching sports while getting your hair cut.

The price for a haircut and a wash is outrageously generous. I spent nearly 40 minutes in the chair while Moses went over every little detail of my hair with great care, stopping along the way to make sure that I was getting exactly what I wanted.

These guys are true professionals. An old-​fashioned haircut, followed by hot foam and straight-​razor. Like something out of the 50s in New York! When your hair is the way you want it, you get a steaming hot towel over your head and a neck and shoulder massage to finish it off. A VERY classy joint!

I’ve been coming to these guys for over a year now and they have been nothing short of great. This is a very well run family shop with fantastic service and multiple offers. Probably the most unique and best offer is a discount if you come in with your son. Also, they have a punch card system where you basically get 1 oe 2 free haircuts a year depending on how often you visit.

Very good cut here at a reasonable price. It was one of the rare scissors-​only cuts that are hard to find since so many «stylists» want to use the buzzing clippers for sides and back to save time. Location is tucked around the south facing side of the shopping area, over by the Papa John’s Pizza.

Took my 7yr old son here because of a mailer coupon I had recieved.
Place was not busy (not sure if thats a good or bad thing), but staff was great. My son got right in and eventhough we had a woman barber (?), she listened to our requests and my son was happy with his cut!
They honored my 5 $ off coupon even on the childs cut price.

Outstanding! I get my haircut every week, so I have high standards. I just moved here from Texas and was pretty worried about finding a new barber. This place has not let me down. No need to worry about finding the right barber either. All of the staff are very good at what they do.

Hot shaving cream to clean up the edges on a haircut? A hot towel and massage to wind down? This place is fantastic.
Rushel is everything I want to see in a barber, and one of the best parts of prepping for my recent wedding was going to him for a hot shave and tune up. Gold Scissors is clean, well-​equipped, and everything about it shows the pride and care that they have for their business.
