TLDR: I really want to give this place a 5 star, but it has 1 too many faults that I can’t do so in good faith. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Great place for career focused professionals who want quick access to town and a clean environment. PROS: 1) Excellent Location. If you work in Scottsdale, and want a quick commute with short access to Old Town, this place is perfect. 2) Clean. This place is well taken care of. It’s new, so if you like fresh and clean looking things, they do a wonderful job. From the grounds, to the interior, hallways, fitness room, everything. It’s the first place I’ve lived at that allows dogs where there isn’t shit everywhere. 3) Staff & Maintenance. Whenever I visit the lobby for a question or need something, it’s resolved fast, which is all I care about. Maintenance requests are answered timely and they do a good job. I’ve lived in places where I have to go super saiyan, because offices have lost my mail, charged my rent and claimed I didn’t pay or given me false information. I haven’t had any issues like this here. 4) Pool & Fitness Area. Great for laning if you’re a swimmer or triathlete, and the fitness center does the job if you don’t feel like driving to your gym. Towels are a nice touch. 5) Clientele. The residents are younger professionals, which is refreshing. The price barrier filters out a lot of the«less ideal residents». Everyone I’ve run into has been friendly. CONS: 1) Valet Trash. When I heard about this while touring back in May, I had to laugh. Sound ridiculous? It is. Rather just take your own trash out, and not pay for valet? You can’t. It’s mandatory… lulz I appreciate the offer of convenience, but being forced to pay for a service with enough rules and regulations that you just forsake it all together is stupid. 2) Pool Hours. When I signed the lease in May, pool was open 24 hours. Now, it closes at 10pm. Bait & switch? Yup. Probably because someone complained about noise? Makes sense. Didn’t want to be exposed to noise… so chose to move by Old Town, *golf clap*. Well done. 3) Parking. … … …I just want a parking to put my one car at night… like…any parking. at all. I think this must have been a fail in design, but there isn’t enough. Claiming residents can just buy reserved parking is laughable, too. That’s for premium parking. I just want…“a parking”. Come on guys. If they get around to fixing one of these three, I’ll return and mark 5 stars. It’s like 4.5/ 5. Much better than other places I’ve been. Give it a look, for sure.

I found this property for a client and he has lived at Alta Scottsdale since they opened. My experience with the staff and his experience living there have both been amazing. The office staff is very attentive and friendly. I love this location because it’s centrally located and the perfect distance from old town. I highly recommend Alta Scottsdale to anyone looking for a quiet community close to Old town Scottsdale.

They forget to mention that added charges to your rent. So I pay close to a hundred more than what I was told. The craftsmanship is piss poor. The electrical plates don’t match up to the cuts. The crown molding has dings along with the doors. I had doorways missing the face plate. A drawer actually fell on my foot. The bluetooth speaks. they don’t hook up directly to your tv and when your not using your tv it makes a sound every time you use your remote Thin walls. I can hear the door opening and closing of my neighbor. I can hear the garage open and close which I do not live above. I can hear EVERYSTEP of the tenants above me and their tv/music. The dishwasher doesn’t clean well and the microwave does a better job at heating up your dinnerware than your food. Hope you like taking showers in the dark become there’s not a lot of light to be had. I never have hot water. The first apartment I moved into… faced a dumpster and I could hear all the traffic outside. And there was a used beverage in the fridge. Do you like living with college students? Many ASU students live here and these are supposedly«luxury» apartments that cost a pretty penny. The cardio equipment doesn’t function properly half the time. I don’t think they have enough parking spots for everyone. Let alone their guests.

Deciding to live at Alta Scottsdale was one of the best decisions I have made in my time in Scottsdale. The staff has great personalities and go out of their way to be friendly. The apartments are quite due to the community being made up of young professionals. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to be close enough to Old Towne but far enough away from the crazy party atmosphere.

This place isn’t luxury living even though everything is brand new. The apt itself & the exterior is pretty nice but seems like they hired the cheapest painters in town. Three times we’ve had to request maintenance. This place has been only opened for approximately 3 months. Can’t enjoy opening my windows & sliding door for balcony because of neighbors that smoke… gross! Also, just like most places, people have to use their scented laundry products full of chemicals that few people, like myself, are allergic to but what people don’t realize is that they’re harmful to everyone! There’s no storage in balcony, so, u have to put your vacuum etc wherever you find space. Ours is in the living room… tacky I know. Big walk-in closet is filled to its limit. Shalia, one of the leasing agents, has an attitude when she wants. Hello, youngin’…do you know what customer service means? Evidently not. Go back to from whence u came. Anyway, Matthew, the Assistant Mgr, & Ashley, another leasing agent seem nice & professional, though.
