This is a great little spot to hike toward Lost Dog Wash trail, or better yet, head toward less crowded Sunrise Peak. You will start out by parking at 128th St., parking is on the left. The trail also begins on the left hand side, look closely for it, someone is probably parked in front of the trail entrance. I hiked to Sunrise Peak, and it was beautiful, I saw some rabbits, a few birds, lots of vegetation and it was not crazy crowded. In the morning, the first part of the hike is also shaded, which is a plus. Allow 2 – 3 hours for the hike to Sunrise Peak and back. Also, this is not a hike for young children or the less mobile, there are lots of times that you are scrambling up a steep incline. If you are less mobile I would recommend choosing to head toward Lost Dog Wash Trail, which is an easier hike, albeit more crowded.
