This location was a total fail today. I placed an online order, go in to pick up & wait in line for someone to acknowledge that I’m even there. Then they are out of the coffee I ordered & paid for. Back to line to get a refund. Amount refunded is less than I paid. Wait again for that to get corrected. On my way to work … with no coffee.

For never being extremely busy, this Starbucks is terribly ssssssslllllllloooooooooowwwwwww! Now I could see if we were in the drive thru, but I’m standing inside and there’s only one other person… And they already have their drink. Meanwhile all the employees are working the drive thru??? Can I please place my order so I can go about my day…

I work from home, and sometimes it is nice to leave the neighborhood to get a Starbucks elsewhere for a change of scenery. However, I always wish I had just gone to the Hayden/​Thompson Peak location because it is the only one that my orders are always perfect at, the first time! The staff couldn’t be friendlier, or have better memories :) I’m trying to cut back on all of the $$ I give Starbucks monthly as a semi-​recovering, sometimes multiple visits daily addict, but they make it very tempting!

Starbucks prioritizes drive-​in over café service. Starbucks has sold out the coffee house concept to the fast food drive-​in. What is it about lazy Americans that they can’t get their lazy self out of their SUVs and walk into a café for a cup of coffee and interaction with other humans? I stop almost every morning for my iced chai latte with coconut milk and extra ice. It is always made perfect and tastes amazing. I like the new screen at the drive thru and there isn’t that bad of a wait when I arrive. I’ve utilized the drive-​thru and ordered inside and all were good experiences. I would recommend this location to anyone!

This location is busy! but the staff here are on point and efficient. After my workout at Thompson Peak Park, I stopped here to fuel up on their fruit and cheese box and got my self a iced black tea. Perfect spot next to a great park and this morning weather just topped it off! #lovearizona #starbucksrocks :)

Perfect combo with Starbucks Dirty Chai over Good Egg’s french toast. This morning it wasn’t too crowded like you would normally see at a Starbucks. One of the table tops was dirty with pastry crumbs, that made me want to clean it myself.

This location is a great place to get your coffee and go. They have a drive-through!The staff is consistently friendly, for the most part, as is the coffee consistent.
Beware however, on a peak time, 7:30 — 8:00 AM, you will be waiting for a very long time & may not be able to cue for the drive-​through line due to lack of waiting space.
A bonus about this location is that, because they deal with so much customer volume, they are a «designated open» Holiday Store. Want coffee on Christmas Day? No problem, they will be open here!

Ask for Sterling to make your drink! He always makes it perfect.
Try to stay away from the older lady with the blonde pixie cut! She will ask you a million questions that she should already know by how you order your drink!

Only one barista here. Takes FOR EVERYTHING to get your coffee. I do have to say that the barista was very nice and did her best. But ONE employee for this Starbucks??? Really?!

I like to get a large iced Caramel Machiato @ the Hayden & Chapparel location in Safeway. I go to the Wellsfargo there to cash my checks, and I’ll sometimes stop at the Starbucks kiosk for my drink. Normally when I am there, I see miss Tammy. She’s such a sweetheart and makes my drink perfectly! I wish they accepted tips though, I would tip her every time!

Why is it that people who work at starbucks think its ok for them to ignore customers when they are in a con station with other staff
All I want is a cup of coffee, I don’t want to be your friend, you don’t need to know my name. I am the only one I the store! It’s not like twenty people are here asking for a black coffee
When I ask for a black coffee why do you ask if I want room? Room for what? I want it black!
Please Starbucks teach your staff to serve not make friends

This Starbucks location is one of the busiest in northern Scottsdale (though the location on Shea Blvd is probably worse).
On the other hand the folks inside are wonderful. I’ve never had an order mistake and the line moves very fast. Nice group of Baristas!
The parking lot is shared with Good Egg and Subway and it can become very crowded and crazy in the mornings. I’ve seen many a luxury car get rear ended in the lot while it’s owner is inside getting a latte. At times the drive-​thru (poorly thought out) can wind around the corner ten deep. No exaggeration.
So, as they use to say on TV: «Let’s be careful out there, people!»

This Starbucks location is always busy in the mornings and on weekends. Even with that they are always friendly and very efficient at what they do to ensure people get their drinks as quickly as possible.
Now I am in the mood for a Grande white chocolate mocha at Starbucks. See you soon, Starbucks. :)
