Tierra Del Lagarto

This furniture store is packed with mirrors, beds and an old world vibe. It was not my particular style but I could see someone furnishing an open entry way or bedroom with these things.

I LOVE this store! At this point, it is slowly but surely furnishing my whole house; from the chairs, the lights, to the coffee table and the very accents going on said tables.
The prices are hit or miss, though. If you’ve visited the countries from which these pieces originate then naturally you’ll find them expensive. But, since it’s not the easiest thing lugging a giant end table back from one’s travels, Tierra Del Lagarto is great. I found some pieces super reasonable (like the pottery) while others can be on the expensive side (like the textiles). As to the price of the furniture, so few stores supply the same kind of neat hand selected imports that it’s difficult to gauge. I’ve been guilty of buying an admittedly pricey $ 400 chair here, but I found spending $ 450 on my coffee table to be very reasonable.
The selection is remarkable. Whenever I’ve visited, it’s chocked full of pieces that still manage to be cleverly displayed. Beautiful stuff at every corner.
I also have nothing but great things to say about the staff. When I shopped today (Jan 6), they were super helpful. I was toting my 6-​month-​old baby and after offering, they actually took her off my hands while I looked for what I needed. I’ve been into several furniture stores in the Valley at this point, and Tierra was one of the few that didn’t seem to size me up to gauge my budget based on what I was wearing or by asking what my husband does for a living (yeah, that actually happens). I had a great time shopping today and it was largely due to the staff.
And lastly… it’s a local, family owned business! I made it a New Years resolution to shop local more often, and I’m so happy this store makes for a significantly better (almost incomparable) alternative to Cost Plus World Market.

I initially stopped in to browse and was so taken in by the vast array of imported designs, ranging from small coffee table/​bookcase display pieces to large furniture selections that I subsequently took my son who lived in Thailand and visited Turkey and Morocco to see many similar items he admired upon his travels and couldn’t bring home, He was bowled over by the selection and impressed by the rich textures, craftsmanship and assortment. I’ve subsequently become an avid shopper myself upon doing some home renovations, never failing to pick up items to complete a room décor, ranging from small accent pieces to larger items such as intricately crafted one-​of-​a-​kind mirrors that are sure to be conversation pieces. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful; delightful to do business with and full of decorating ideas!
Before embarking on any furniture purchase, my suggestion would be to visit this unique showroom — but don’t wait too long before selecting your items. Inventory move quickly due to their competitive pricing and novel designs.

This store is AMAZING!!! Such unique furniture pieces and accessories from all around the world. Prices are reasonable. The staff is super helpful and pleasant to work with. Definitely worth a trip to Scottsdale!

Tierra Del Lagarto is wonderful!!! I recently relocated from Chicago, where after 26 years, I knew every great place to buy home furnishings. I stumbled on Tierra before I even technically moved here and I am so glad I did!!! My husband and I have purchased so many things for our new home here — from rugs, to furniture, to mirrors, to lamps and decorative items. The quality is fantastic, service exceptional, delivery prompt, efficient and respectful of your home and the offerings in Tierra mean anyone could find a special piece or accent — regardless of the style or décor in your home. And the prices are incredibly fair/​reasonable. Tierra regularly imports shipments and while the quality and style remain consistent, I have enjoyed several visits and rounds of purchases, always pleased with whatever new items they have added to their charming store. It is definitely a «Must» for your home shopping!
