I guess you could say that we are perplexed by this Toys R Us. Foremost, we have had some very positives experiences. We have made large purchases with ease as well as made a few returns without any ado. Moreover, the place is generally clean and well-organized.(Around this time of year, that is not always so easy!) However, the sales associates are often less-than-professional. Two trips ago, there was an associate who appeared to be hiding in various isles in order to text. We noticed her in two different isles, on two different occasions, just standing there and texting. Why did we notice? Because we were seeking someone to give us some advice on a few sets of K’NEX we wanted to purchase(the Nintendo Mario sets). That day, we walked away with nothing … except a laugh at this girl.(And, we did ultimately order these from Amazon).(This is not the first time we have spotted cell phones issues here … bummer.) Tonight, there was even more chaos as punchy sales-associates yelled to each other and«rode» the wooden stocking carts around the store(this was around 12:45AM). I understand having to work late during the holidays … but, I don’t understand acting like children.(We set our STACK of Wii games and 3DSXL cases on the shelf and went to Wal-mart … where we found the same items, but without the churlish behavior). As far as this store is concerned: it is clean, safe, and often welcoming. Nonetheless, it does have a tendency to lack management. I think if a member of management were a bit stricter and a bit more«present,» many of these issues could be resolved. Until then, I will probably try to restrict my gaming purchases to Steam, Amazon, or even Target.
