Waldo’s

My goodness. Never had their food, but was only there once. Customers seemed friendly enough, but the bartender was bad enough for us to not leave a tip (which we’ve never done before, ever.)
Long, straight brown hair, tan woman late 40’s maybe? Actually rude! This was our first time there, stopped by after morganz on a Friday night. Ordered two bud lights, and she brought us two michelob lights. When my boyfriend said oh we wanted two bud lights, she scoffed, rolled her eyes and returned with a bud light and a corona light (which she literally threw in the garbage as soon as she saw what it was. What a waste.) and then came back with the second bud light which she slammed down.
No apology for the mixup (which was really no big deal whatsoever, and we didn’t act like it was at all) and then she took our money and returned with our change without a word and slammed that down as well, before walking away.
I honestly can’t believe a bartender working for tips would ever act this way, which leads me to believe she’s an owner, or owner’s wife. That’s even worse, in my opinion. We will almost certainly never return because of this experience. We have had plenty of mixups at bars, it happens, especially on busy nights. And we’re always understanding, but we’ve never had a bartender be outright rude and nasty to us.

Waldo’s is a typical corner bar, very divey but friendly crowd and cheap prices. Went here on a random Tuesday night, so I’m not sure if its gets busier on weekends. They had live entertainment and the bar was full. The bartender was very friendly and made drinks very well, neither over nor under powered. Good place to go if you’re looking for a quiet night with a friend or two. Quality shuffle board table runs the wall of the bar, very well used and very cool. Needs a thorough cleaning and décor overhaul.
