Über nice staff. It was my first time there and I just was not sure what to order. It’s like being a kid in the candy store. They asked me what I had in mind and so I said, definitely a sandwich. Ciabati bread with fresh mozzarella. They helped me pick out some excellent meats and veggies to pair with the mozz and it was exceptionally delicious. On top of that, they give you a free bag of chips. While I had coffee with my sandwich, I did save my chips for my kid who said they were spot on light and crispy and not overly greasy. Will definitely be back when I am in the neighborhood. No seated tables but there is a long strip for a bar with stools to sit at by the window.

Quintessential Italian grocery and prepared foods New Jersey style. The cold cuts are worth the rebuke that will follow from your cardiologist. The sandwich maker immediately won my respect and admiration when he told me «I can make any sandwich you can think of!!» Bread is very good but pastries by NJ standards are average to good. Worth a trip when your hungry!

RIPOFF/HORRIBLE I consider myself a connoisseur of Italian deli sandwiches and the sandwich that I had this past Friday was probably one of the worst I’ve had given the money I paid. I paid $ 25.98 for a prosciutto, mozzarella, broccoli rabe and roasted pepper hoagie. For starters, the bread was stale and of poor quality(they should consider TomKat bakery in nyc or any bread store in Hoboken). The broccoli rabe was overcooked and had full cloves of garlic in it. The mozzarella was soggy and bland(my guess is it had been sitting in the deli cooler for weeks). The roasted red peppers were ok but appeared to be over soaked in vinegar(not sure why the red peppers would be in vinegar). Lastly, the prosciutto was actually ok but considering the price they’re charging for it, it should be! Bottom line, if you’re ever in sea girt and you’re looking for a good Italian sub, take it from me, this is not the spot to go to.

I just moved to the area and this is seriously the best Italian deli food ever. I take my family and friends here whenever they visit me. I love the samples, the ambiance, and the professionalism(in both locations)!

I cook and make my own bread and pasta and I must say Joe Leone is just as good. Food is always fresh and service is the best.

Pretty great satellite store. It is actually mainly for a quick lunch or taking dinner home. They don’t have many items in the store. The dishes change daily. They also have their Italian deli. Very limited on take home items. I think they should buy the conjoined liqour store and make it a bigger store like point pleasant. If you are not just looking for a take out meal I suggest you visit the flagship store in point pleasant. Although don’t get me wrong the quality does not suffer here! It is still an amazing Italian specialty shop.

They screwed up my to go order pretty good. Forgot to put the cheese on my chicken cutlet sandwich. They didn’t give us napkins with our to go order. What’s up with that?

Joe Leone is an institution here on the shore and for good reason. The espresso-dusted sharp cheeses are inventive, the meatballs, be it beef or chicken, are second to none. Baking is done on the premises and there the Italian cookies are delicious. Rumor has it that Joe puts a high emphasis on customer service, not allowing a negative customer experience be part of anything that he puts his labels on. He is also a philanthropist and even though you might pay a bit too much for this and that, he is the kind of guy that plows the cash right back into the local food bank or to his orphanage in Italy. I’ve used them for catering a ton of times and it always wows my guests.

Great gourmet deli. Sandwiches are fantastic. They have their own bread which is amazing. The entrées are very excellent as well. Each day they feature different ones. There is another location that is bigger and have more each day. But this place seems to have a staff that are more helpful. There is a man there that always recommends what to add to a sandwich and he is always right. One time I took one bite of a sandwich that he created for me and I swear I just smiled. I couldn’t believe how delicious it was and how much the light gravy he added complimented the taste so well.

Joe runs the gamut here for typical Italian specialities as an outpost for his Point Pleasant operation. But this review is for a single item — Joe’s sub which is probably the best Italian sub I’ve ever eaten. The best meats, great cheese and bread along with a beautiful build make for … a simply delicious sandwich.

Authentic Italian food to go and catering. Food is outstanding albeit a little pricey. Located both in Sea Girt and in Point Pleasant, Joe Leones has a myriad of Italian products that I’m hard pressed to find anywhere else on the Jersey Shore. I deducted a star due to the prices though one could argue that to buy certain imported products cheaper I’d have to go to the City and incur transportation costs. But then added it back on for the convenience of the new Sea Girt location.

Food is great and authentically Italian. They have everything from sauces to antepasto to made-to-order sandwiches. There is also a huge wine and beer selection in this location which is a plus. The prices are a little high(which is why I deducted a star). Quality and service are pretty great.

YEA!!! Joe Leone’s opened a second location recently in Sea Girt. Original location is in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. High quality prepared Italian food to go, bakery, cheeses, meats, and delicious entrees such as their Balsamic Chicken. This location is smaller than the other, however, it is very convenient. Highly recommend!/
