I can tell you this off top this place is a hidden gem. I really like the atmosphere and the quality of service. The food has potential but then again I haven’t eaten everything on the menu. I think this place can hold its own in the area with the amount of Asian food here. White bob knows southeast Asian food and this passes the bar… White bob signing off

This place is awesome!!! The sushi is exceptional. My dad refuses to eat raw fish but liked their Chinese food. The stir fry is great as well. This place caters to a broad spectrum of Asian appetites. Big servings and reasonable prices. My new favorite place to eat… Plum wine was awesome too!!!

First time here and had a great meal. Sashimi combo with a white tuna sub. Fish was fresh and well presented. Also had 2 pieces of pepper tuna sushi which was just ok. Wife and little guy had chicken teriyaki bowl. Both were super fresh and she loved, yes loved, the chicken bowl. She also had a rock and roll roll which was good, but not spectacular. Older son had the tempura chicken and was thrilled. Tried a small piece myself and have to agree, darn good. All in all a great visit. Look forward to coming back soon.

SUSHIREVIEWONLY. This is just another Asian fusion restaurant. They have sushi, rice bowls, noodle dishes, soups, and salads. They even have a customizable stir fry bar which is cool but I just wanted sushi. I only tried this place because Tokyo Bowl was closed. I’m gonna keep this short and sweet because I didn’t think this place was anything special. Service: 4⁄5. Not outstanding but good enough. Covered all the basic needs of a server Food: We ordered miso soup and a few sushi rolls –Miso Soup: 4⁄5. Great amount of tofu and seaweed in the soup compared to most places. Also came with fried wonton crisps. It was a bit salty though. –Salmon & White Tuna Sashimi 5⁄5: Decent-sized pieces. They tasted really fresh –Volcano Roll 3⁄5: I wasn’t crazy about it but my friend liked it. It’s a California roll with cream cheese, with baked chopped scallop and kani on top. –Red Treasure Island 2⁄5: Too much rice. It’s just tuna, avocado, and imitation crab. Meh –Golden Gate Roll 3⁄5: I wasn’t a fan because it contains honey wasabi but I liked the salmon and tempura crumbs. I didn’t think anything was mind-blowing incredible, so I wouldn’t come back.

Good service, clean place and good food. Reasonable price. I ordered Jacky roll and Salmon & Avocado. Both are good and fresh. Our waiter was very nice and friendly.

I had a friend when I was younger whose family always ordered takeout from here and I never thought to ask where it was from. I started coming recently and realized this was the restaurant! Delicious and reasonably priced! I work at Prodigy Hair Salon a couple blocks away and I stop in to pick up lunch weekly! Such a yummy treat– I order the General Tso’s chicken with fried rice– and it comes with an egg roll(not my fav egg roll ever but who needs the extra calories anyways). Everything is always so fresh and hot! Come check this place out– you will definitely fall in love!

Service is always fast. Their whole menu is good including sushi(escolar is the best!!) at a really unbeatable price. Ambiance is really nice inside with comfortable and spacious seating. We have been coming here for years and it’s always a good experience. Only complaint is sometimes the soups are really salty or salads have tasted bitter otherwise everything else is really good!

Fresh sushi for an inexpensive price!!! I was so full I could’ve been rolled out! Lol Went on Friday night, it was busy, but every one was very nice and courteous. Other waiters help my waiter out when he got over loaded. My daughter and I had the nigiri combo, miso soups and Masago nigiri, & a volcano rolls! Our bill was under $ 40.

I LOVE Akimi. LOVE. I can’t say that I’ve tried a lot on the menu because I am so addicted to my favorites: shrimp fried rice with vegetables, extra shrimp… General Tso Shrimp, Butter Simmer, with teriyaki sauce. I go there at least once a week.

Awesome sushi and some of the best fried rice I have ever eaten. I have eaten every roll on their menu and some of my favorites are the golden gate, pom pom, shaggy dog and volcano roll. They are all good except for the sumo roll, it is tiny and has a all around lack of flavor. Not hungry for sushi, no problem. They have stir Fry and the normal Chinese dishes as well. The dressing on the house salad is delisious, I always get two of them because one is not enough. Go try it if you haven’t, you won’t regret it

I actually came in during happy hours(2 – 7) and was able to place an order to go and still received the happy hour prices for the rolls I chose. All of the rolls I ordered were cooked so I can’t really attest to the«freshness» of the seafood but I enjoyed them all nonetheless. I am sure I will come in and sit and enjoy some rolls at some point, but if you are in a rush and have a hankering for sushi, I would definitely order to go. Oh and the egg rolls I had were good too. Or were they cheese puffs? Can’t remember… oh well… they were good tho lol.

Had the Pad Kee Maow. Noodles were not cooked well. Several of the flat noodles had been clumped together. But enjoyable nonetheless. We also were looking for more choice with the meat and noodles. Wife liked her lo neon dish. But I’ve had good meals here and will be back.

Tried this sushi place for the first time today, and I’d have to say, I’m not impressed considering the abundance of fresh fish in the Houston area. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. I will be returning to my usual sushi place Michiru by the movie theatre next time. However, I have to say, the service here is a lot better.

After placing our order and eating the summer rolls a cock roach crawled out from under the plate. Almost threw up. They offered us another table but just couldn’t continue on with the dining experience. Don’t think we will be back needless to say.

Went here for lunch on a Friday. I had the miso soup – really hot and served with won ton chips. It was delicious. Then I had the Chicken Thai Curry lunch special. Wow! It was great. A little sweetness in the curry with plenty of white meat chicken, carrots, snow peas & onions and peppers. I chose steamed rice(but you could also have fried). It was a huge portion and was served with an egg roll & dipping sauce. The egg roll was ok. I prefer Vietnamese egg rolls, so I may ask to substitute one next time. All for $ 6.50. Incredible deal and served hot & fast by a very nice & attentive server. I will be back! You can almost miss this place because it’s behind some trees!

Parking: It looks small but there is a lot of parking in the back. Time and Day: Ate on a Sunday afternoon at 1:00PM. There was plenty of tables and my girlfriend and I were immediately seated. Food: Ordered three sushi rolls: Crunchy Roll, Volcano Roll, and Hottie Roll. I would recommend Crunchy Roll for the amount of fried flakes that you get and the Volcano roll because it is drenched in mayo sauce. We had so much sauce leftever that we used it with the other sushi roll. Hottie Roll was spicy but didn’t have anything significant to it other than being a spicy roll. Service: Good service. The food came out quickly, water was refilled periodically, and the waiter checked on us periodically. Price: Cheap for the quality and amount you get. Most expensive roll is $ 12.95 and many are under $ 10. Overall: Highly Recommended for quality sushi, low price, and good service. In fact, this is my sushi place for the Clear Lake area.

My favorite sushi place. The BEST wonton soup and Vietnamese egg rolls I have ever had. Their rock n roll is my go-to and I absolutely love it. The waiters are awesome and the place is nice and clean. I tell pretty much everyone about this place! Akimi tops all the other sushi places around here, no doubt.

Hubby and I walked in to a fishy smell. We sat down anyway and ordered some egg rolls and cheese puffs. We decided that if they were good then we’d dine there. I was not ordering sushi but hubby was craving it so I was hesitant for him. The appetizers were delicious and we ordered three rolls(see pictures) and Pad Thai. He loved the sushi but the Pad Thai was okay. The waiter was attentive and we did not have any issues with lighting like over reviewers. We went midday and I could see how there may be lighting issues at night due to the sparse lighting. I prefer not to go back but would for hubby and his sushi fix.
