Love this restaurant. The best thing about it is the sauces on their more elaborate rolls such as the hair kari! I get the honey spicy sauce added to anything I order there. Their salad dressing is the bomb too, it’s my favorite sushi restaurant in the Bay Area by far with much better customer service & ambiance too.

Fish doesn’t taste fresh. Hoping I don’t get food poisoning. Although my expectations were in accord for these type of restaurants(not expecting high end, not extremely authentic Japanese flavors and dishes), I was still more disappointed than anticipated. Décor makes the whole experience even more surreal. Miso soup was anything but: salty, full of raw mushrooms and tons of green onions. Portions are large, service is friendly, which is why I give them two stars. Prices are way too high for substandard sushi. I much rather get average sushi from Heb or Kroger next time.

Sushi is expensive and the raw fish tastes very old. I had to throw away my rolls because it tasted rotten. There are much better sushi restaurants in this area

Best sushi in town! Hari Kari, Tokyo night, galactic, Texas roll. I highly recommend these rolls especially the hari Kari that’s my favorite. I usually go on Wednesdays since they have 25% discount on all the sushi rolls.

My family and I always go here for sushi. The staff is very attentive and always work hard. They do not hover but always available. The food is always fresh, properly cold and well presented. We have tried other restaurants but they do not match up. We always recommend here when asked. The owner is always very wrlcoming and remembers us and personally greets us. It is not just us but other customers as well. The sashimi is always chilled and fresh. The preparers seem to know their art very well.

Sushi was not anything exceptional. They were not busy at all and it still took 30 minutes for our sushi, that we ordered off the lunch menu, to come out. Our server was friendly but not very attentive.

We tried multiple rolls and dishes. All bland and overall mediocre. Could have made the food myself. There’s always a risk trying new restaurants and this turned out to be a bad one. Never again.

I was very pleased. Received a prompt good greeting, cold beer glass, upbeat server, and a good sushi plate. This far surpassed my expectations for a strip center sushi joint. Also fairly priced. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We love sushi coast for lunch. My husband gets the C3 combo which includes 4 pieces of sushi & a salmon hand roll that he gets extra spicy. Also 3 pieces of California roll. I get the B1 which is the chicken teriyaki bento box. So much food! The salad is usually over dressed but is good. The veggie tempura is out of this world! All lunch specials come with miso soup which is one of the best I have had. Always hot with thinly sliced scallions & mushrooms. Yum! Service here is always friendly & fast!

It’s gotten much better since my first visit, which may have been because I chose different menu items. The sashimi tastes fresh, not frozen, and are in large cuts. The sushi rolls are sort of muddled to me, in the sense that most of them have too many ingredients that they all kind of taste the same. I do very much enjoy the Rocketman Maki, which is sort of like a hyped-up Shaggy Dog Maki. The staff is friendly, and they don’t push you to get appetizers or desserts, to which I’m quite appreciative. I’m not a fan of the fishy artwork and décor, but I’m willing to overlook that for 25% off sushi rolls on Wednesday.

This place is the best Sushi in Houston. I should know because over the last 10 years I have tried sushi in every part of Houston and across the U.S. & abroad. I want someone to let me know where it’s better at and I’ll try it too. The head chef has been here at least 10 years, he is now training his niece as well. The owner really keeps the place unique and modern with cool art. Staff is great but not perfect, the don’t walk on water but neither do you.

Went here on Wednesday where i believe the rolls are 25% or 30% off. The ambiance is nice. Decent sushi. they have a lot of selections, but they are all kind of the same if you really look at whats inside of them. Not to be mean but i would say this is more of a «white people» sushi place. If I ever come back, it will only be on wednesday so i can get a bang for my buck. I got some kind of honey lobster roll and it was pretty good. My friends got a California roll and a shaggy dog roll. They honestly taste like any other sushi roll you can get at a buffet or HEB. I’ve also gotten fried ice cream to-go before and i would recommend a try if you’ve never had fried ice cream. It is pretty good.

This place is one of my favorite places to eat sushi! The fish is so fresh and the sashimi is amazing! I always request for my food to come out on a boat because it’s just more fun to eat off of rather than just a normal plate. No matter what roll you get, you’ll always be satisfied! And on top of everything, the staff and owners are so friendly and welcoming! Their customer service is great!

Mediocre at its best, I really wanted to like this place, but on to food soup served was hot and flavorful but not my favorite. Crab wontons were good and hot and fried just right, Edamame were good with dipping sauce not sure several were placed on table not sure which one, service lacking, no full bar, I can’t remember half of what I ordered :-(, and I wasn’t even drinking

I usually love this place but my last visit was pretty bad. Let’s start off with the service, it was pretty bad to be brutally honest pretty close to terrible. The soup miso soup that came with my sushi plate was pretty good. The sushi was very good but hated that there was extra wasabi on EVERY piece there was it was very disappointing because I am not fond of the taste of wasabi. If you do go there I suggest the Tokyo Nights roll and the Rocket Man. Both very good rolls! I gave it four stars because of my visits before but also because the one that’s missing is what it would be if I was just doing that visit(1 star).

Ugh. The menu seemed appealing and I’m puzzled on why people on Unilocal gave this an average of 4 stars. Any battered items(squid, katsu chicken) didn’t have any flavor. C’mon man, where’s the salt and pepper on this? The rangoon was straight up cream cheese. We also ordered the honey tempura lobster roll: Very. Disappointing. Had way too much sauce on it to make it taste any good. Sashimi was fine but extremely warm… As I’m still sitting here, I will summarize: This place is just basic. #ByeSushiCoast
