Misdiagnosed my dog, gave wrong treatment and my baby died. The staff knows more about treating animals and I wish I would have listened to them. Maybe my dog would still be alive. On top of that, charged me out the wazoo. Needless to say, I will find another Vet for my pets.

If I did not have to give a star I would not.
Avoid Majestic Pets!
After boarding our 12 year old rat terrier with Majestic Pets on NASA Parkway for one week in May 2013, she lost 30% of her six pounds… with her ribs showing, was non-​responsive to voice commands, and very confused and lethargic. I was never notified and questioned her condition; they reviewed their records and found no notation of anything unusual. It is unconscionable that Majestic Pets staff did not notice her weight loss or lethargic behavior, as it was extreme and very noticable to the untrained eye.
I immediately took Ruffles to Dr. Huber, who evaluated her and performed surgury to remove both overies, which were ready to burst from infection. He stayed to care for her throughout the night… even feeding her part of his dinner when she woke from surgery. He advised that she would not have lived another 24 hours. How fortunate she was boarded for only one week!
Later, as a courtesy when apprising Dr. Adams that she might consider re-​educating her techs on how to better observe animals in their care to note concerns for evaluation, she stood by her tech’s notes that nothing was amiss. After sharing facts regarding Ruffles’ severe medical condition, not even an apology was given. The need for the procedure was not due to the lack of care at Mejestic Pets; however, had I not picked her up and sought immediate medical attention from a competent vet for her severe condition, she would have died in the care of an incompentent vet tech, who neglected to notice her dramatic medical decline!
I will never board with Mejestic Pets, nor will I ever use Dr. Adams for vet care!

My dog has been a patient of Dr. Adams since we moved to the Clearlake area about four years ago. I had so much trouble finding a vet and I saw two or three that were only after it for the money. When I met Dr. Adams I thought she was very cold towards me but she loved my dog and that’s what I was therefore. Here I am four years later and I swear The best choice I ever made was going to Dr. Adams. I have recently moved 45 minutes away and drive all the way across town just so my dog can see Dr. Adams. In reference to the other reviewers who talked about her clothing I could care less if the woman showed up to work in a bra and panties, she’s a great doctor. She is there to do a job to take care of my dog and I think she does a great job. I have never questioned anything she’s told me and she’s done right by me. She never tries to get extra money out of me and if she feels like it is not necessary she doesn’t do it, to save money for me. Yes, they are a little pricey but I believe that it’s worth every penny. I can’t put a price on a great veterinarian for my dog. If you are looking for a great vet who will cater to your animals needs then go here, but if your looking for one whos cheap but will pile on the tests just to make up for their «cheap» prices go somewhere else. I’m not sure what these other reviewers are talking about, she is amazing.

I have recently gone to pet medical center for the first time with my dog. I was very pleased with the employees, but not with the dr.adams. When I sitting and waiting to be put in a room I heard her around the corner be so rude to one of her employees then when they left to go the the back she was talking about her to another employee. I was shocked that someone acts like that as a boss! When we went into the room she was very rude to me and talked to me like I was stupid. I was also shocked to see how she was dressed! Little short tight dress and like high stilettos, like she was going to a club. I told myself never again will I go there. Not long after I had a emergency and had to go out of town. The staff was helpful and could fit me in. Everything was fine when I dropped off and picked up. but not even a whole day later my dog is coughing so bad he can’t sleep or eat. I took him back and stated he has never done this for years! I told her I thought he got kennel cough from her facility. Again she was very rude and told me that can’t happen there because they sterilize. Im thinking lady it can happen! That’s the whole reason we get the bordettela vaccine. She charged me for the exam and all the meds! Over $ 50. I said fine, but when leaving I heard another customer speaking with receptionist about her dog coughing after daycare there! I was so outraged! I will never go there for anything again!!!

I have a crazy cat named Gage. He was supposedly a rescue that I got from «friends»…so truthfully I really do not know his background. From the way he acts I assume he has been abused. He was declawed which made him over aggressive with his teeth. But we have worked long and hard with him and while he’s usually grumpy and pretty anti-​social unless it’s on HIS terms, he’s gotten a lot better. Still, we love his grumpy ol’ self and want to give him the best life we can.
Friday morning I noticed spots of blood on the floor where he had been sitting; I tried to see if he had maybe gotten scratched by our other cat but couldn’t find anything. Until he moved and I saw his rear end. I won’t be graphic but suffice it to say something was wrong.
This vet’s office used to be right by my office so I knew Dr. Adams a little and I knew one of the vet techs as she used to pet sit our cats. So I felt comfortable calling them, even though neither cat has been here before.
The girl I talked to was super sweet and said bring him on in. Doc Adams was off that day but her relief, Dr. Smiley was there. Ok, that sounded good. Gage needed to be seen by someone that day. Plus she mentioned that there was a 20% off coupon for new patients on their website. While that wasn’t a major concern at the time, I knew that this could potentially be super expensive and I appreciated her letting me know.
There wasn’t anyone there and they had me fill out the paperwork. The girl I spoke with was super sweet and I wished I had gotten her name but I didn’t. She told me but I forgot. The vet tech that I knew came up and after talking to her it sounded like what was wrong with Gage was definitely not life threatening and while not common it wasn’t too rare.
They did get backed up and didn’t call me until about 1:00pm (I dropped him off around 7:30 am) so that was a little disappointing but I understand that I did drop him off last minute and I did appreciate them getting him taken care of in one day. They called and let me know they couldn’t even look at him without sedation which did not surprise me. So I agreed to that and after that they called me about an hour later with the diagnosis.

They said he had a ruptured anal gland that explained everything they had to do, plus that they could give him a two week antibiotic shot so we wouldn’t have to pill him. Which was super awesome, but man I wondered how expensive this was going to be. Not that Gage cat isn’t priceless, but it’s always a consideration, sadly. What she quoted me was a very pleasant surprise and very reasonable. I hate to say cheap as that sounds tacky and that they are providing inferior service, and maybe this isn’t an expensive procedure but still, I was very happy with the cost.
I got a call about 4:00 pm letting me know he was ready and explaining everything that needed to be done and answered all my questions. So off I go to pick up my boy.
They were once again super nice and helpful; one of the vet techs even carried the carrier out to my car for me (it’s a big carrier, y’all…).
I was seriously so happy and pleased with everyone at the office and how well they took care of my little (um…ok, he’s not fat he’s big boned!) fur guy. If you need a vet for whatever reason I highly recommend Pet Medical Center!

First, PMCoCL offers discounts if you bring in multiple pets. So instead of getting charged for 2 separate exams for the twins, i get a reduced fee for the 2^nd. jackpot!
i’ve been there twice now, and they are able to get me in usually on the same day, and there is never a wait to get into the exam room.
dr. nancy adams seems to know her stuff, and cuts to the chase with diagnosing my kittums, so we can be in and out of there as quickly as possible.
every month they run specials on their website, (grooming, supplies, etc). they also offer a 20% off discount for 1^st time patients!
the environment is clean, and there are a few cats and dogs that live at the office. They have training, boarding and grooming too.
They also offer a unique service – pet drop off and pick up. super convenient! I haven’t used it because I live close, but i’m sure it is great for ppl who live farther away. it costs $ 10 within 5 miles, $ 12 within 5 – 10 miles, and call for a quote for more than 10 miles away.
The pet medical center also can give medical attention to hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, ferrets, rabbits, rats, mice, reptiles, and birds!
