Location is good for being on the water and having a drink or something to eat. The parking entrance is very hard to find and could definitely use some signs. If you’re going for the first time, pay attention or you’ll miss it. Entering the building is a little odd too. You see«Sam’s Boat» on the outside of the building but the entrance is at the other side of the building under a sign that says Admiral something. It’s rustic, laid back, nothing fancy but comfortable with inside and outside seating and lots of TVs everywhere for watching games. They have a lot of shade outside and some tables in the sun as well. There are overhead heaters which makes it nice to sit outside even if it’s a little chilly out. The food is nothing special and the service is not very good. Grilled flounder(with corn on the cob and sweet potato fries) was completely bland and would benefit from some seasoning. I’ve never had such flavorless corn and I’ve never had corn on the cob that didn’t have some butter with it. The food was too cold by the time it arrived to melt butter so I suppose it doesn’t matter. The sweet potato fries were good enough. Chips and salsa took about 45 minutes to come. I have no idea how you’d explain that. The server said«she’d check on it» and see what was taking so long. Crab cakes were fairly decent size and just OK. Crawfish were well seasoned and tasted great but the price is very high at $ 6.99/lb. I’ll go again but I think I’ll try something a little harder to mess up, like a burger. In fairness to the servers, they didn’t seem to be slacking but the place was understaffed with too few servers and only one bartender on a busy Friday night. The kitchen was obviously slow too. So there’s lots of blame to go around for the slow service but ultimately, it’s the fault of management for not being properly staffed. I’m told this is pretty common for Sam’s Boat but have only been twice myself and had the same experience both times. Pros: Good venue, on the water, good atmosphere, good happy hour Cons: Service lacking, food lacking

Walk-in and smell the delicious food especially during crawfish season. The staff is fairly quick fast sitting at least when I came the have inside and outside sitting arrangements especially on nice days the outside sitting is amazing its on the water they have one pool table, Tvs located everywhere for sports fans, waitress are fast the drinks are amazing it’s moderate in noise level. Very well kept up place with a fun atmosphere, there’s also live music on weekends on the deck outside. Definitely worth checking out.

I been coming to SB for quite sometime & the service is hit or miss, but I must say they have gotten better my last few visits. My recent visit my waitress was Rachel & Laura and they were awesome!!! A few items from the food menu we ordered we sent back, but they corrected it & I was surprised that the chef(Jeff) came to our table to make things right & informed us of a new menu that’s coming out soon, some new entrées & gave us a sample of crab queso dip, which was yummy & a must try. Somehow I spent my whole Sunday funday. afternoon & evening having a fantastic time at SB. Check out happy hour & the new menu.

The food here is usually good when we go, we prefer this one over the one in Houston. The food here just seems fresh and the drinks are great too. We enjoy sitting outside by the water. We enjoyed their hot wings and shrimp brochette.

Food is nothing short of disgusting. Even the fries how do you mess up fries. Drinks are no better. I asked for a frozen margaritas and it comes out liquified and hot(so hot liquid). I’m surprised the beer a got came out in a glass bottle.

Explain to me why we can’t get a tv changed to the Astros on a Sunday? I’m sorry but at the bar NOBODY is watching the Green Bay game. Seriously you have a Houston team playing for the playoffs and I’m having to turn around to watch game on another tv. Waitresses are awesome but again not helpful in changing one tv. Everyone around us complaining it makes for a very upseting Sunday here watching the game. Thanks a lot for not listening to the customer once again.

Compared to the other bars/restaurants in the immediate area this place is a gem. Clean, decent food, nice setting.

On my first ever visit for a group gathering, it took about 2 hours to get our food. We didn’t take long to order, but the salads were out 1 ½ hours after placing the order. Drinks were rarely, if ever, refilled. The waitress would bring something to one person and then run off without looking at anyone, so if you needed something or tried to pay your check, it was another 15 minutes before you saw her. My burger and fries were cold, my son had scorching hot fries, while my boyfriend had cold grilled shrimp and sides he didn’t request. We won’t be back. Ever.

Great Sports bar, nice service but the pull pork sliders…2 thumbs down… dry and awful with soggy, old reheated fries… yuck.

Although I’m reading a lot of negative comments about customer service, both of my visits to Sam’s Boat have been pretty good(and the service during my first visit was outstanding!) I really love the crawfish here, and the shark taco was also pretty dang good! The outside patio is really nice and the view is pretty great, especially during sunset!

Only real good thing to this besides the view of the water & sunset over it, is its close to home. Service I’d say was below average and food was average at best.

Gulf coast pontichartrain meal was great!!! Services were good but production was very slow especially the bar. The establishment was not very busy at all I guess because it was so late at night. Probably wouldn’t recommend won’t be back again either.

It’s basically a sea side hooters with grosser food. If you’re a dad who’s married and unhappy or a single dad you will love it. Service is good. I mean they’re sweet and pretty. But the food is salty awful forgettable send-back-food. Worst beer list I have seen in Texas. Get a new bar manager. And manager. Gross

Needless to say, I will never go back. Not even if it’s free. I don’t even know where to start. 1. Stupid staff As soon as you walk in the door. The hostess seated us on a table that was wet from the rain. Never offered to dry it or provide something to dry the seats & table. We asked the waitress if we could get another table so we moved. Though out the whole horrible experience, the hostess did the same for 3 different couples. They had the same reaction we did. The waitress wasn’t good either. She seemed more interested in serving the drunk people to get a bigger tip. 2. The ambience was horrible. We ask to be seated outside not knowing that the place is ok with customers bring their half horse– half dogs & pitbulls to the restaurant. The space to walk through the tables is limited and for a super heary half horse– half dog to be pulled through the tables is just nasty. The dog’s hair is all over your food. I’m a dog lover & I have no problem with a restaurant that is dog friendly, but that was ridiculous. Pitbulls– seriously!!! Even the inside of the restaurant was not appealing ether. 3. The food was horrible. No taste on anything. I ordered the sample plater. The plate had a full bottom of not appealing fries. A 4 by 2 inches battered fish, 3 fried shrimps &2 hush poppies. No seasoning at all. I had to squeeze 6 lemon wedges to taste something. To make it even worse the platter was $ 12.00. I don’t mind paying for a $ 12.00 for good food. That was our experience. But you might like the place if you’re ok with stupid staff, huge dogs, possibly getting bit by a pitbull, dog hair in your food and expensive horrible food.

Horrible food and service. Out of 4 entrees, 1 was given away to another table, not once, but twice. Waitress waited 20 minutes before coming back to check on us. Another entrée(pulled pork sandwich) was completely bland with over cooked pork. When I added the BBQ sauce, my mouth was lit on fire since the«bbq» was actually a small amount of sauce with a ton of franks hot sauce mixed in. Although the waitress did take off the 2 entrees from our bill, it doesn’t make up for her lack of rudeness. Any waitress worth her salt knows to check back on a table and when asked for a tea refill, don’t take 17 minutes to bring it. The least she couldve done was to keep us informed of what was happening instead of disappearing.

The bartender was nice but I went like 2 in the afternoon so it wasn’t super busy. I was going to order a drink but I decided not to. Anyways I got the catfish basket. Decent size. I didn’t like the fries. The hush puppies were okay. The cat fish looked exactly like what the kitchen fed my patients today at the nursing home. It tasted okay. .nothing spectacular. Well now it’s an hour later I’m in bed and very nauseated. GEEAT. lol I hope it’s not the food. The patio looked fun. Probably more fun at night on a warmer day. Since its down the street from where I live I can’t say I won’t be back… probably just to drink only ;)

Have to say as far as customer service goes extemely terrible. We took our seats outside on the patio and waited for someone to take our orders(Laurin). We placed the order and once again no service to see how we were doing. Food was brought out no silverware I had to go inside and get fom a busboy. The food was very mediocre. We wont be back.

Just came here with the co-workers for a work sponsored happy hour. We sat outside to accommodate the smokers and as a runner, I did not enjoy this at all. I understand smoking is allowed, but as a rule, I just don’t sit somewhere where I have to breathe it. I don’t think there was enough room for all of us inside though, which is too bad, as I think I might have enjoyed it more if it had been a non-smoking environment. I really wanted a Summer Shandy, but they didn’t have that, so I ordered iced tea. I didn’t want any liquor, as I had had enough of that nonsense the weekend before. I’m really not a big drinker, so hard liquor once in a while is plenty for me! We just had chips and queso and jalapeño poppers. Both were fine. Nothing outstanding, but typical bar food. The waitress recommended a new tequila to the folks that wanted margarita and not a single person liked it. Not sure if she was just trying to push it for promotional reason, or really thought it was good stuff. She was in the minority though. I probably wouldn’t go back unless someone in my group really wanted to go, or unless work was paying for it again… even if I am a cheap date and just order iced tea! It wasn’t a bad place, but it didn’t wow my socks off either…

This is boaters heaven. Good food, service and the view and boats/yachts– awesome! Had a grouper platter and cold beer– sat outside in the sun, felt like the BVI. Love the water and the toys and this brings them all together. Been here at night by boat but have to say the sunshine doesn’t suck! Drink up!
