I have been to many Antique Stores and the stores collection is amazing! She has many one-of-a-kind pieces and fairly priced. My first visit was with a baby in my arms and a diaper bag on my shoulder, I cannot wait to return when I have more time to look in every crevasse of the store!

Wow– I had a completely different experience in this shop altogether. After hunting for years(4 to be exact) for just the right antique engagement/wedding ring, I found the most beautiful and authentic engagement ring for a very decent price. Joanne is definitely a character, but strikes me as an honest woman. When we went to an old family friend and jeweler who specializes in estate jewerly, he confirmed that not only was the ring authentic, but original in all qualities, from the stone to the fact that it had never been resized. I am beyond pleased with my experience at Joanne’s. She may not be the epitome of modern day customer service, but I prefer honesty and authenticity in a shop owner over fake courtesy to make a buck anyday!!! I recommend this shop to anyone who is looking for an authentic and fairly priced antique piece of jewelry!

OK so I have to update my review, sadly. I went to my local jeweler to have the ring sized and he said the ring looked suspicious. He said he was 99% sure the ring was a reproduction and that the stone was not an Old European cut but a new, slightly worn gem. I was shocked but insisted he may be wrong and went to get an antique experts opinion. The antique jewelry expert knew it was a phony and was even able to determine when it was made(2008) and who the designer is! She photo copied the page out of a new catalog that showed the exact same setting from several different angles. I was furious! And the stone was nothing special or vintage — very inexpensive and very common. I drove right away to the shop and told her that the ring was a fake and demanded a full refund. She seemed shocked and insisted that she had the ring for 15 years. There was NO debating that this ring is a reproduction and that she did not have the expertise to tell me the decade of the setting or the cut of the stone. She did not have cash but cut me a check. I would not step foot in that store again! If you want antiques please find a trusted expert and do your homework. What a waste of time and energy. Such a mistake…

Joanne’s is an antique shop that carries primarily estate jewelry. It is filled with showcase after showcase of necklaces, earrings, rings, watches and so on. I went in during the search for a vintage engagement ring and found one showcase with a couple dozen options, which is on the higher end in terms of variety at the shops I visited. As it turned out, Joanne’s was a little higher end on prices as well, and not because their rings were head and shoulders above the other vintage ring shops that I have reviewed. What is more, the woman working at Joanne’s seemed to have very little interest in my fiancée and I, even after we had been staring into the engagement ring case for several minutes. She either sized us up and thought that we weren’t actually going to buy anything or else she is just kind of a grumpy lady. As it turned out, we did not buy anything — she just didn’t have what we were looking for. If you’re doing the vintage engagement ring hunt and are in the area already, it’s worth stopping by Joanne’s, but I wouldn’t make a special trip and don’t expect any help.
