I got 2 of my Shag prints framed and matted at the Picture Show Gallery. They do quality work for half the price or better than other stores. It was so worth the 35 mile trip for me. I would not go anywhere else.

This place is just cool. I bought my first piece of «surf art» there, when I was in college; several homes later, I still got it hangin’ on the wall, still tikki chic. They have a lot of cool prints, photos, canvasas, posters, and knicks knacks with beach themes. Lots of nicely done water colors of local landmarks and some really unique artwork from new artists. Fun place, friendly owner(Linda)!

I absolutely LOVE this place! I visit this awesome beach gallery whenever Im up from Ocean Beach in San diego to visit my Mom in Monrovia. I am in U 4 E A when I am here. Karen and Linda are warm and friendly, and always treat us like family. This totally Tikified spot has a fan~tiki~tastic collection of Tiki and beach artwork and a great selection of Tiki Farm Mugs, which I have collected since the begining. Postcards, Prints, Beach Bric~a~brac, and a parrot in the back complete this little slice of paradise. Love and Aloha to Karen and Linda, frpm Matt & Kihei the wonderdog.

OH, THISPLACE! LOVE the Dia de los Muertos style skulls & art. BEAUTIFUL prints of beach scenes! Thank you so much! This is where I got hip to the work of Tom Thordarson(Thor). Dig the Tiki art, mugs, etc. Chatty parrot out of eyesight. Mike the owner passed away in November. Linda(??) I believe is her name(blonde gal) has been a part of the business for quite some time. She was friendly, chatty & awesome! Come down & keep this place in biz! You will love it!

I like walking in here even when I am not going to buy anything not only to look at the items(perfect for tourists or those interested in beach décor as all items/photos/framed art are related to the beach or islands, but mainly I like to come here because the owner is such a nice guy. He is always happy, friendly, goes out of his way to greet you/say hello/ask how you are doing, offer his help, but in a very genuine way without being pushy or annoying. It makes it a pleasure just to walk into his store. In fact one time, he was offering beverages to shoppers. Now that’s a huge plus! And I have seen some of the same décor items here selling for at least two or three dollars less than at a few of the other gift shops on Main, so shop around! This is one of my favorite stores, besides Knock Knock toys nearby which has the best toys(and unique ones too) and also an amazing owner! Customer service is a huge thing for me, and this place gets an A+ for that! Oh, and because he actually does refunds instead of store credit, this is a plus esp. for those who live out of town or not close to SB. I wrote this review in July 2011. Soon after I went out of town for several months. After returning to the area, I went into the store a couple of times and noticed Mike, the unforgettable owner, was not there. I assumed he was on vacation or whatever, and didn’t think much of it. I went again just recently and again did not see him. Obviously, when you notice the owner is not there that should tell you what an awesome store owner he was… one that made you feel so welcome and and important customer. Probably one of the friendliest and most personable store owners I have ever met, and made your shopping experience a fun one. So, I finally decided to ask where he was since I noticed he hadn’t been there the past few times I had been in. I was shocked and saddened to learn he passed away. He had passed away while I was working out of town which is why I had no idea. This is such a loss for his family, his customers and the community. He really made you feel happy whenever you entered his store, and will never be forgotten. I hope he knew how much joy he brought to those who visited his store. Please continue to support his family run business whenever you visit Seal Beach, and keep his spirit alive.

I was on my way to the pier when these prints caught my eye. I wandered into this store and wow, I want to buy ¾ of it! The owner is super friendly and says he has been here for 30 or 31 years! I definitely want to come back :)

Thank you for providing me with another place to shop for art other than IKEA. How can this place have art for sale that’s cheaper than IKEA?! It also has signed art at no additional cost than the art. The Día de los Muertos prints of Calaveras Ladies(beautiful women adorning skull face paint) were gorgeous and that’s not even my cup of tea. It’s my friends’ cup of tea and she loved it. And they were cheap and of great quality! What kind of art does this place have? Unique, non catalogue art. Lots of Día de los Muertos themed art, beach themed art, vintage depictions of historical sites, art from tattoo artists and local artists, etc. It doesn’t give me a fine art feel, but this isn’t really a gallery. Just come check it out if you’re in the area; it’s interesting and very very affordable. PS, they also provide framing.

I had walked by this place several times and wanted to go in. I was in Seal Beach with friends one day and I finally did and wow, it was worth the wait! This was one of the coolest local shops I’ve been in as of yet. The have a lot of local stuff and most of it comes with really good deals. Example: they currently have some panoramic paintings that are buy two get one free, priced at $ 30 each. They also have a TON of non framed art that is really reasonably priced.

Mike, the owner, totally makes this place super cool. I WANT to spend money here, and I don’t even like spending money. There’s a ton of really awesome beachy art, along with dia de los muertos stuff, some classic 50’s type stuff, and custom framing and matting. The prices are really reasonable. Look for orange tags, they are discounted items. We picked up an awesome print yesterday for $ 10. Stoked! Here’s a few things Mike told us about his gallery: –He will custom matte anything you currently have at even cheaper than somewhere like michaels. –He will sell you art to try out and if for some reason you don’t like it, or feel like it doesn’t «fit» where you thought it would, he’ll give you a refund and not ask any questions. –Can’t pay for a piece? He’s cool with making payments. No CC to sign up for, just drop by and hand him $ 20 a week or whatever. He has an awesome attitude and you can tell he LOVES his store. It’s nice to see a business operated like that. Props for being located on Main st. in seal beach. Just a few stores down from NICKS and a block or so away from Beachwood BBQ. If you are in the area you gotta check this store out.

Love this place. It’s conveniently located neighboring Nick’s Deli, which means my hungover morning excursions includes(but is not limited to): begging my husband to walk to the corner liquor store for Gatorade, stopping at the B of A on Main Street for some cash for Nick’s(cash only!), picking up a heavenly breakfast burrito, then on to The Picture Show to spend money I probably don’t have. This place has all kinda of fun stuff. Great Dia de los Muertos stuff. We’ve bought hand carved boxes, figurines, card shadow boxes, beer tin signs, fancy light switch plates, and a cool Pacifico ice chest. The owner dude goes down to Mexico pretty often and brings back some really cool stuff. Every time we are there we see new exciting stuff. I’ve also had some art framed here. He charged me ½ of what I was quoted at Michael’s, and gave me options I never knew I had. He recommended«Museum Framing» for the prints I brought, and they turned out beautiful. And, they were done in just a few days. I’ll never go anywhere else for framing.

This place is great. The owner is super nice and the store has lots of one of kind items that are reasonably priced. The store’s collection includes surf art, frames, shag, tiki items and more. This store carried cool stuff before it was cool. Their inventory changes constantly and its always fun to just look around. Oh, and if you ever need art or pictures framed this place does a fantastic job and he’s cheaper than anyplace else. Nothing negative to say about this place. If you ever need a last minute gift for someone you can find it here and they’ll think you spent months of thought picking out the gift.
